Rihanna rocked the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York City last week – and with this occasion, she revealed 4 new stage outfits, one more futuristic and racier than the next. We’ve got something similar to Pink’s provocative number, a Lady Gaga-esque look and 2 high-cut leotards that show off Rihanna’s hips and thighs.

I would never call that “gesture”sexy..imo it’s way too far from being sexy..She’s holding her vajingo which looks so manly,trashy and definitely vulgar.Some should teach her how to cover minges..Everyone has a right to do whatever they wanna but I fear in a soon future the word”morals” will be completely forgotten.. Maybe it’s about how I am raised but it seriousy annoys me too see women’s nipples,vajingos,arse in every magazine or movie..It’s really sad sometimes my cheeks are getting red when I watch a movie with my family due to the racy scenes..

it’s funny, because when Madonna did this in the 80s she really was making a statement about what acceptable for women versus what is acceptable for men. however, these days if a man made that kind of gesture most people would agree that he is a total creep and he would probably check into sex rehab the following day. So Rhianna and Lady Gaga aren’t proving anything by touching themselves inappropriately on stage – on the contrary, they are giving their male fans (if they have any) exactly what they’re looking for.
I agree, Madonna (although im not her biggest fan) was making a statement, throwing sexuality in peoples faces and saying , my body my choice kinda thing. Where as now, well its gone beyond that,its crotches in every direction. Pop artists , whether they are rated or not think that being on stage means girating up a mic stand. Its boring, old, overused and degrading. Yet they think they are empowering themselves, sadly mistaken.
I totally agree! I am so happy to see atleast some people know the difference between being sexy and making a statement with it and being just plain trashy.
Girls these days need a kick under their ass, they think they’re sexy but they’re just being cheap sluts. If only they worried half as much about their music as they do about how sexy they look they might actually create good songs.

Sorry, but she just looks cheap, not sexy. I get that she has this high cut- shorts to make her legs look longer and thinner, but that’s just too high. I always feel sorry for her vajayjay. Everything is too much, even for stage outfits.

She is a performer, not a school teacher. She looks great. Her outfits are revealing and sexy, but they are also avante garde and cutting edge. They are stage outfits and they are well designed and futuristic.

I quite agree with you about stage outfits, but I think it’s wrong to consider edgy and avant garde showing a part of your genitalia. It’s only called shocking, getting attention and I, personally, find it disgusting (and yes, I’ve thought the same thing when Gaga did it; at least she did to prove she’s not a man lol).
It’s possible to be avant garde AND show genitalia, but this is just showing genitalia.

“Pretend” she is a shy, cute girl? Please. She is. Umbrella was not dark and edgy. Her stage props were meant to be, IMO they weren’t, and the song was your basic electro-pop. Rihanna never has been, is not and never will be edgy. And her music sucks.
I do think she is a shy girl. Aside from her saying it herself several times, her performances before this past year were always super tame. She was too shy to even dance the routines she was taught, too shy to even move her hips. Often times she looked terribly awkward on stage…think Kristen Stewart if she was a singer.
And then she suddenly became this dominatrix? If anything, THIS is manufactured image that her record label wants for her because it’s selling currently with a lot of other stars (beyonce, gaga, madonna).

ugh…costumes aside, she’s getting really big. I love, love, love curvy butts especially because I’m naturally framed tiny, so I love a girl with meat. However, I’m not liking what I’m seeing. From the crap hair, the copy cat image and the ever-growing thighs I’m not impressed. She doesn’t look toned to me, in sure she works out butnif she burned the tiniest bit of fat you’d probably see more muscle. True she has gained weight.. she is more or less the same weight now as she was when she did ‘pon de replay’.
Interestingly you might want to check out how she achieved the body she had in the ‘umbrella’ period.. she admited to excerising very heavily and taking a diet of ‘pineapple and lemon water for breakfast, soup for lunch, snack of egg whites, and chicken for dinner’ and avoiding carbs.
Whilst I wouldnt say that is not healthy, its not very sustainable in the long run, especially for someone very active like Rihanna.
Don’t get me wrong..I’m not at all disapproving your preference for rihanna as a smaller size… but she is naturally quite ‘thick’ and I think people need to consider how diffcult it is for some people to achieve and maintain a certain figure.
