Leighton Meester went for the lots-of-makeup-leather-minidress look yesterday at the American Eagle Opening in Times Square.
The make-up looks pretty purple in some lights and gray in others – in any case, there’s a lot of it!

and with this outfit i think both of hers are wrong it looks gothic with the leather
totally agree but I like she likes to risk with clothes and make up, when you area celeb you can do it, I can’t so, despite it’s a totally EWW i say good for her!

The makeup is too much. Too much eyes and too bright with the red lipstick. She has to pick one or the other, but not both. It just makes her look like a clown. And the dress…there’s really nothing to say about the dress, lol.
Yuck. Her beauty is a sweet, “Old World,” Mediterranean look. She looks RIDICULOUS trying to be sexy. And her body is too soft for the hard look she’s going for. Ridic.
She is majorly overrated. I don’t understand her appeal esp how people think shes beautiful and/or sexy. Maybe it’s the fact that she gives off hints off expensive and slutty or maybe it’s her shady family past of drugs and murder so people take her as a bad girl. I don’t know.
Her skin is too pale for those colors. And it’s too much anyhow, would have worked on a special photoshoot.
Versus, what about a post on Kristen Stewart? I saw some pictures of her from Munich, and her legs look killer in one of them Thank you

That outfit is really cool. I would definitely see myself wearing it. The make-up i don’t know. It has potential; i could see it on someone edgy, a real rock/goth chick or something like that. And i would like it. However, i really don’t think Leighton has what it takes to pull it off. Love the dress. Have i mentioned that?

I think the makeup looks really cool, however, I think that this particular look belongs on a runway. If I saw this on the runway, I would think it was very dark/mysterious/beautiful. If I saw someone out and about with this makeup, I would probably wonder if they were a “lady of the night” (delicately put) Lol.
She is truly beautiful – but sometimes I feel like she tries waaaaay too hard for the “sexy” look. She=sexy without all the makeup and leather/lace/seductive facial expressions/vinyl, etc. etc.

The make up doesn’t look too bad from far, far away…still zombie-esque though. It might have worked in a themed photoshoot with appropriate lighting and backdrops. I love Leighton but maybe working with Taylor Momsen has inspired her to start looking like a clown— lots of eye shadow, dark lipstick, etc. All she needs now is her own “rock band” and scraggly hair extensions.

I like it. It’s unique and refreshing. Very avant-garde.
I love that she doesn’t dress safely. I like that she doesn’t go with the “emphasize only one feature” rule, because honestly I’m sick of all the boring celebrities.
Obviously she knows that it is over the top. I wish more celebrities would pull out all the stops. She can do no wrong in my book.
Cool dress…this makeup is a little funny cause it looks ridiculously unflattering in some pics and pretty interesting and hot in others…would work well for a photo shoot but it’s a lil weird otherwise cause it kinda gives her two black eyes

I’m seeing her as a combination between vase and skittle (depending on what she’s wearing).
Vase – like an hourglass, but less curvy, medium boobs, slim, defined waist, well proportioned (Katy Perry)
Skittle – slightly bigger lower half and slim top, but not with wide hips like a pear, just a booty and shapely thighs (Halle Berry)

It’s amazing that she takes risks, too. Maybe not everyone loves what she does, but I do love pretty much everything that she does.
I’ve seen photos from this event before and hated her look, but now looking at them i actually think she looks hot, however i’m still holding on to the opinion that the eye makeup looks a little crazy paired up with the intense lip colour and pale complexion.
v. true about the runway, this look would gain more credit, because anything goes on the runway. in the first and last shots her eyes look amazing, because the gold actually shows up. who knows this mayve looked less weird in real life, could be the flash like someone said before.

The makeup is a lot to handle, but Leighton is perfect in anything.
She looks like a zombie. But normally I love her hairstyles, make-up and outfits, especially in Gossip Girl (as Blair Waldorf).
Love the hair, and the red lipstick looks great, but she shouldn’t be emphasising eyes as well as lips – doing both makes you look like a clown.
