Sarah Harding: ‘I decided to have some filler in my lips – Clearly that was a mistake’

Girls Aloud‘s Sarah Harding is yet another celebrity who recently opened up about opting for plastic surgery:
‘It was a case of approaching my 30s and not feeling confident about that. It was something that was on my mind a lot.’
‘It’s not something I’m going to be trying again, or anything I would recommend to anyone else. But, yeah, around Christmas I got a little bit experimental and decided to have some filler in my lips. Clearly that was a mistake.’
‘I was silly, it was a very silly thing to do. Thankfully they have gone back down now.’

I would think that by now celebrities would have learned by seeing all these fish lips that filler is a bad idea. Am I wrong for thinking this?
Not wrong .. but think about how many have gone right. Like people been scared of flying in case the plane crashes…

I’m not a fan of over-filled lips, but her hair and makeup are such a hot mess in the first picture that I can’t help but find her more attractive in the ‘after’ photo.
am i the only one that can’t see a difference? i think she looks good in the second picture… maybe i’m missing something
I think it is because she looks much more natural in the second due to the make up and simple hair!!
I was having a hard time too! I thought the first picture was the before and I’m thinking her lips look lovely! Apparently that’s the after photo? I’m confused..
The first is the before. The fillers show in the pic where she has the ponytail. I think her lips looks a little full and plastic (naturally big lips don’t have that “bloated” look), but it’s not the worst i’ve seen. Sometimes with really small lips pumped to max your whole mouth area starts to form that kissing fish look bc there isn’t enough skin in the lips for them to stay in a natural position, but i agree with her she’s better off without the fillers.

That’s such a generalization. The majority of plastic surgery That’s such a generalization. Most plastic surgery does improve patients looks in a way they desire. Many peoples opinions on the use of plastic surgery are based on celebrity horror stories. Of course a botched job gets more focus than well done plastic surgery. That’s kind of the point when its done well isn’t it. Its not going to garner as much attention. If you’re successful, most people won’t see a drastic change. You’ll rarely hear a celebrity admit to getting plastic surgery and how its been amazing for them, and that fuels the stigma.
fillers are only good for people who have barely-there lips. If you can see your lip, just don’t fill it…

To the people who don’t think her lips (when augmented) looked ‘that bad’… just remember, a static photo is different to looking at something at motion. Heidi Montag anyone? Although SHE is ridiculous in photos, she looks a hell of a lot more natural in still pictures then when you see her in interviews…
When you watch someone in life, whether they’ve had lip fillers in particular becomes quite obvious because the movements are unnatural/different from what we’re used to.
She’s such a pretty girl she didn’t need anything doing in the first place.
Oh please, the only reason this girl admits that she had fillers was because she didn’t like the results and won’t do them again. I guarantee that if she had liked the results she would be like the many other celebrities who lie and say that they are all natural and that their lips have always looked this way. (Cough cough Megan Fox)
