Katrina Bowden Gained Some (And Looks Great in a Bikini)

To complete the title, Katrina Bowden (from 30 Rock) gained some weight (yay!) and looks great in a bikini.
If you recall, Katrina was borderline scary skinny at the beginning of the year and even though some of you were saying that she was naturally THAT thin, I’ll say that THIS weight right here looks much more natural on Katrina.

Wow, my first thought was: “WHAT? How could this woman have gained some? She’s so thin!? How was she before then?!?”
But looking at the old pictures now, I have to say, she looked pretty close to death before…..painfully skinny, really. And she is still so slender now!

To be honest I think she looked much better when she was thinner. I don’t think she look sickly at all. Her legs always looked healthy and some people naturally just have prominent collar bones.

I typed out a paragraph about why I disagree with “Me.” Then I decided that beckers said it much more succinctly.

Wake up and smell the coffee ‘Me’ – she clearly looked sick, her hair,her disprortionately large hear,her elbows etc. will i go on?
I disagree with Me that Katrina looked better as thinner (to me she didn’t), but I disagree with beckers saying that Me is wrong about people having naturally prominent collarbones. (I’m assuming that’s what the wrong was to, because the rest of Me’s post is opinion and it doesn’t make sense to say wrong to someone’s opinion). People can have prominent collarbones, if the top of their chest sticks out more than the mid of their chest. And that’s purely due to bone development.
Yes, you’re right, C. Pectus carinatum (pigeon chest) causes some people to have prominent collar bones and protruding ribcages no matter what their weight. I’m 5’5 and 130 pounds, and I had prominent collarbones even when I was 20 pounds heavier. But yes, the girl in this post only has prominent bones because she was too scarily aneroxic looking before, not because she’s pigeon chested. Fyi everyone, some celebs with pigeon chest: Angelina Jolie and Kelly Rippa, even when both these women were a little heavier and not so skinny their chest area looked prominent and ‘bony’.
I’m not sure why you said, “it doesn’t make sense to say wrong to someone’s opinion.” It makes perfect sense. If everyone were to be left alone to their own opinion without any 2nd party judgement of right or wrong, our society would be solely Subjective leaving people’s opinions as moral truths only to themselves. Think about it, what if someone said, “I think child abuse is valid and I impose it on my kids.” Does it not make sense to say that the person’s opinion is wrong? Of course it makes sense, child abuse is the mistreatment of children and is wrong in every manner. But according to your statement, it wouldn’t make sense to say that they’re wrong.
well..ok..when she was so thin, her collar bones looked awful!! but her legs looked just perfect then…. it’s just because she has naturally such bones…i’m the same type: awfully thin in the upper part, but my thicks and legs are a little bit fat
poor girls..
What’s wrong with her legs now? They aren’t fat, not sure how much fuller they are now because I don’t think I’ve seen pictures of her showing off her whole legs when she was thinner, but just looking at them now, I see nice slim legs with good shape, not too thin and definitely not too fat.
i am exactly the same! especially as a dancer, i also gain muscle on my legs too!
Comparing her old and new pictures, it’s AMAZING just how much people can be obsessed when ‘OMG! I have to be thin!” craziness attack them when they look just fine (prettier, even) with more meat on their bones.
She looks 100x better. Much healthier and happier from what I can tell. Hopefully she stays this way.
For me personally, I think she would look the prettiest somewhere in between her extreme skinny weight and now. But if I had to choose, I would choose her as she is now. Versus is right, her thin weight was not natural, although maybe there were things preventing her from gaining weight aside from starvation (e.g. stress, illness, lack of appetite, or temporary high metabolism).
It doesn’t make sense to always assume just because a celebrity was thin at any given point that they have been “starving themselves to fit into Hollywood” as people have been saying. Just like people fluctuate and gain weight sometimes, some people go the opposite direction and lose weight.
She looks better now, imo. What body type do you think she is? Maybe something close to ruler?
I guess she’s a pear. Her thighs are full and upper body quite thin.
Yeah I would say she’s a slim pear. When she gained weight, she seems to have gained most of it on her butt/thighs, which is what pears tend to do.
She used to have such thin arms! Just like Angelina Jolie now.

oh my gosh shes gorgeous! i love her body now and she looks super healthy and happy. the before pictures were too skinny and although some of you may think she was still healthy then…honestly whatever, you people must be really skinny or something because she looks superb now.
