I think she looks so much better!! Though it’s hard to tell from these small amount of pics, i really like the weight on her.
it is hard to tell from these pics i agree! tho she looks a million times better! her face looks so much prettier too…i hops she doesnt lose the weight tho because she doesnt look very happy or comfortable at this weight =o(…hopefully its just these pics tho that she doesnt seem too happy…i wish she could see how much better she looks! but we all know how we feel/ feel that we look when we have gained a few lbs! even if others do say we look better
I agree with you. She looks much better and she’s lovely in that dress; she looks good with shorter hair – make her face-lines soft and younger.

healthy? why do you assume it’s healthy she gained all this weight? I know that when I feel depressed, I eat too much and gain weight and feel unhappy and unhealthy, even though other people say “Oh did you gain weight? You look great!” personally, I hate when people say that because they don’t know how I feel. I feel best/most energetic when I am 100 lbs (I’m 5’7″). I don’t have an ED tho, I just exercise plenty and eat healthy and my metabolism’s also on my side.
SORRY, 5’7 and 100 pounds in NOT healthy. I don’t care how much you swear that you just “eat healthy and exercise…” Eating under 500 calories a day is not eating healthy. You sounds gross-looking–Proved by the fact that you said people tell you how good you look when you put on weight! Most girls don’t like about that – i mean, if my friend put on weight and looked fat, I wouldn’t tell her it LOOKED good, I’d just keep my friggin mouth shut!
Holy sh*t! I’m 5’4″ and 105 and I feel like I’m too skinny. But man! 5’7″ and 100 pounds…she better be like, a tall 10 year old or somethin.
That’s NOT true!! People who are naturally thin and get enough nutrients are healthier than those who are heavier. Ugh! I hate it when people start talking crap about being thin without knowing any of the scientific research behind it! Look up calorie restriction, for example. Restricting calories and weighing less makes people live healthier and longer lives, provided they get good nutrition – that’s why those thin Japanese women look so good when they’re 50 and live so long!

Umm, 100 lbs at 5’7 puts her at a bmi of 15.7! If she is being truthful that makes her severely anorexic and you should not be encouraging her.
I agree with padme. 100 pounds at 5’7″ is incredibly concerning and in no way healthy. No matter what part of the world you live in.
Side note: I hate when people moan about “scientific research” – and then cite summary articles with extremely questionable details (ie Sinclair’s claims about resveratrol are looking more and more bogus every day (as supported most recently by Pacholec, Journal of Biological Chemistry, 1/8/2010)) instead of primary sources. If that part of the article is a misrepresentation, how the hell do you expect me to trust that caloric restriction doesn’t have similarly uninformed support???
Im not sure if her weight was unhealthy or healthy in the before pic but she looks miserable now. I think she would look best somewhere in between, although it’s not like I think she looks horrible now it’s just my preference.

Julie you took the words out of my mouth. I was going to say the EXACT same thing! She looks almost, dare I say it… flabby now? I am NOT saying she is fat (I’m not crazy!), she is of course a thin girl, but it doesn’t seem like she is toned at all. I definitely think she could look really good somewhere in between. She is one of those girls where her face looks better leaner (in my opinion at least).
Hey alias, based on your previous comments I guess I kind of know what type of body you prefer and was wondering what you think of Teri Hatcher because I just saw some Badgely Mischka pictures of her and she looks amazing at 44 and seems to have the body type you like. She works out hard and is slim and toned. I just admire her for keeping in such good shape all her life. Versus can you please post the Badgely Mishca photos of Teri Hatcher. She looks awsome in those pic and I think it would make a great post!
Teri Hatcher is slim yes, but she is also a ruler with absolutely no curves. Her body-type is not attractive to me lol… I like skinny and toned with a teeny waist, curves and absolutely a BUTT. Megan Fox’s body comes to mind, Alessandra Ambrosio, Marisa Miller’s body, Candice Swanepoel, Irina Sheik and Jessica Alba are bodies I like!
i have to disagree with one thing Alias =p Megan fox and Candice aint got hardly any butt! In candids they got nuthin…except sometimes megan looks like she wears padded panties…but inb many her arse looks flat as a tack. But i agree, i also like that kinda bod =o)

I think Ale could be a ruler, but she has a tiny waist and I find her body sexy anyway. Candids of Ale always looks so hot, she is tiny and toned and just gorgeous in my opinion
And true, Megan doesn’t have too good of a butt, but she is still proportional and gorgeous. Her body is the only celeb body that I relate with almost 100%, except for her lack of a butt, I have a butt lol (thank goodness). And yeah Candice has no butt whatsoever, the thing I love about her body is her torso area, it’s divine.
yep Candices torso…*sigh* i am lucky i do have a good curve there…bit more than megan fox but less than Candice but omg Candice…i also relate to megans body in ways…but i have a butt and thicker legs and a bit more toned i would say…i have never LOVED her body, but i can appreciate it is nice than many other celebs out there.
Yeh me too. I like most VS models too but im not into Alba that much. I prefered her when she has a bit more muscle tone and long brown hair. I like the skinny fit look and to me Alba looks plain skinny. IMO I would say Alyssa Milano or Jennifer Aniston are skinny fit a celeb bodies I prefer.

She did gain a substantial amount, but I think the producers pressured her and Shanae to gain some much needed lbs because of the bad press the show was getting from them being scary skinny. Same thing happened to Lilio, she was ordered to gain lbs for a movie.
but why is shanae the same weight? i just don’t think that low of a weight was natural for jessica…
Ughhha all of these girls excluding Shenae and Annalyne need to get it together just because the producers pressure you to gain weight doesn’t mean nows the time to stuff your face with Krispy Kremes. They should have done it slowly but surely and they would look alot better. All in all this show doesn’t really have great ratings compared to vampire diaries thus I never really though these girls except for Shanae were strikingly beautiful. Maybe Jessica Lowndes when she’s not caking on the makeup!!!
Agreed on all points, especially what you said about the quick weight gain. Since it’s almost all of them, I feel like either their agents pressured them to lose weight at auditioning, or the producers of the show are now pressuring them to gain weight. Either way, doesn’t sound good.
AnnaLynne looks good to me now, but I prefer Jessica in between. That’s not to say she looks bad now, she looks great, but I think she would look even better in between her skinny weight and her current weight. Also, that skinny picture of her is frightful…I’m not even sure if it’s real…it looks photoshopped. Can’t imagine the girl ever looked like that!

Maybe it’s photoshopped just maybe. I remembered the last time I read about there weight was when all the girls were on that infamous US magazine cover. Then again the last time I checked their no Vanity Fair as far as the validity of their stories go.
Wow, that’s harsh! She does not look bad, IMO! How do you know that the only thing she did to start gaining was by eating a little more. Because people who are anorexic don’t eat their bodies shut down and starts eating itself, thus making it that much easier for them to gain weight once they do start eating normally.
yep their metabolisms slow down BIG time and they get used to taking in only 200 or so calories and utilising and even STORING some of those cals for when they next starve themselves. therefore when they start eating the minimum 1000 cals (min before called starvation diet) they STORE EVERYTHING and gain really easily. must be so hard for them cuz 1000 cals is so minimal yet their body is gaining and obviously they have issues with body image so when they gain it would be so hard not to spiral back into starvation!
You are right mostly but your numbers are off. Not all anorexics eat only 200 calories a day…really. That’s pretty rare. Most eat 500 – 1000. I, personally, got down to 53 lbs at 4’11″ restricting myself to 1000 calories a day. Which is on the high end of what most anorexics eat but I have a fast metabolism.
wow! thank you for the correction of numbers and i hope you are recovered now =o( must have been so difficult. I have only ever had it mildly…never got to a severely underweight range

Thank you so much for clarifying this. I never got down to a weight as low as you, but I came fairly close. Like you, I ate 800-1,200 calories a day (and didn’t exercise more than an hour a day). Most people are shocked by this because they think anorexics fast or eat less than 500 calories.
I´ve read if someone eats 900 calories during a long period of time, can die of starvation.

My God, for a while i ate 200-500 cals per day and didnt exercise because i had no energy…well i would exercise 3-4 times week i guess (which is less than usual cuz i was a dancer then a gym junky)…then i went through periods of only eating 1000-1200 cals and exercising 2 hours every. single. day. I didnt realise that was so unhealthy
This is not true. I’ve done a lot of research on metabolism in anorexics, and even people with a BMI of 13 (!!) have been scientifically measured to have a resting metabolic rate of 1000-1100 calories.
People put on weight like crazy after restricting for a while b/c they lose the ability to moderate their food intake and overeat substantially (or just flat-out binge) until their weight rises back to where it was when the restriction started (or even higher, unfortunately).
my god i couldnt imagine having a bmi of 13…i know from my restriction i def did some damage. like to maintain a weight for a while i had to eat 1200 cals and exercise 4-5 times a week, but thats all repaired now…and i think that maybe it was a huge difference because when i ate healthily i ate A LOT, over 2000 cals and would have trouble gaining (not that i wanted to)
I completely agree with everything you said, Jane. I was an anorexic and am recovering- at my lowest point, I was 78 lbs at 5’7″. I had a BMI around 14, and my resting metabolic rate was around 1000, yet I would still go to the gym every day. I would usually eat 700-1000 calories a day, which I know is on the high end of anorexic diets, and I could still squeeze in a Haagen Daz ice-cream sandwich in my super-restricting diet. That way I didn’t feel deprived, but I still had weekly binges until I binged a whole month in August. That led to me gaining almost 20 lbs. However, unlike what you implied, even after I learned to eat like a normal person (not too much, not too little), I am still underweight with a BMI of 16.4. I guess that this varies from person to person, as I’ve been underweight my whole life (naturally).
She looks horrible now. Too much weight in all the wrong places and she looks extremely soft. She definately nees to lose some and tone up. It’s obvious Annalynne works out and I we pics of Shenae leaving the gym all the time, Stroup should follow her co stars lead.

Yes, i completely agree with you; maybe when everything will be ok she will start working out and toning up, but maybe that is not a priority now and working out is really not going to help her.
I agree as well! But, I do believe that she looks fantastic. She has a lovely face. Her hair is a pretty color too and the dress looks nice with it.

If she had any kind of problem with her food or weight before & has now gained weight then she may feel horribly uncomfortable being filmed in a short dress.
She looks great but might not be able to see that herself; how people look and how they feel are very different things

She looks so much better than she did when she was obviously sick with anorexia, but I can’t help but wonder if maybe she’s struggling with binge eating now? I went through that myself…going from anorexia to binge-eating. It was horrible.

some of these comments make really sad because it seems like women can’t win either way. people forget that celebrities are real people with real feelings and are affected by negative comments in blogs and gossip magazines. Female celebrities are subjected to such severe body criticism, and I truly believe that calling her “chubby” or “big” will hurt her self esteem and contribute to this endless cycle of going from underweight to regular weight.

I agree with u Mia! And I also want to say that I got a bit ANNOYED with some comments here-I don’t want to offend anybody or to sound I don’t know what. But she is not ”big” or anything. She is just normal, healthy weight. Come on girls, she quite the size of Doutzen Croes, except that Doutzen is definitely very toned overall. If Jessica tones a little more, she would look amazing IMO. I know that is just my personal opinion and everybody has his/hers own opinion, but I honestly can’t see that she is soo chubby. Yes, she is not that slim, but she is not fat. She is normal. I can see some muscle tone probably in her thighs in the last pic, so she might have gained a bit weight and exercise and that’s why she look like that. I’m not sure although. Maybe it’s because she bends and her thighs look like that in that pic.

How come we are allowed to call this poor girl “chubby” and “fat” (when she is most certainly NOT) but Mo’Nique and that other girl from Precious whose name I can’t remember, are off limits when they are both dangerously overweight? They are seen as being “curvy” and owning their sizes, when in reality, both could stand to lose a substantial amount of weight. While if Jessica Stroup were to lose any weight at all, she would be underweight. Okay, sorry. Rant over, I guess. Not one of these girls is “chubby” or big”. Stroup looks a lot better. As for this crap about “toning”, “gaining weight too quickly”. Well how would you know if she works out or not? How would you know the time frame in which she gained her weight?

I think she still looks very nice. She seems slim and healthy, but the dress is just horrid. I think its a combination of the dress and the camera angles that are making her seems a bit larger than she is. But even still she’s on the slim side of a normal weight range which I think is very good and looks a lot nicer and healthier than the weight she was before
I had forgotten how super skinny she used to be- she looks like she could snap in two.
As many have commented she has most likely gained a little extra weight compared to last season as she must have been really restricting previously to stay super skinny and her metabolism is therefore out of wack.
I`m sure she will find balance within herself as her recovery continues and she will settle at a healthy weight. A little gentle toning for 30 mins, 3 times a week~like pilates/ yoga~ would help her metabolism get back on track and help her lose a couple of pounds (which is all she needs to loose imho).

I don’t follow that new Beverly Hills show, and to be honest the only time I’ve seen this girl is on here(and once on Yahoo!’s home page when her and Shanae were so thin), and it’s been so long between posts about her, I don’t see how it can be said she gained weight quickly, it looks gradule to me when looking back through her archives on here. She looks good. And to those saying “she looks miserable at this weight”(hey, she also looked miserable in the skinny photo too o.O), going by this pictures only I would imagine, I can say the same for Anna Lynne, ’cause she ain’t lookin’ too happy in those pics either, they BOTH look unhappy and miserable. BUT, I don’t think it has to do with their weights, they appear to be on set, they could be having some bad takes, or it could be the scene they are doing.
like i also said when i said she looks unhappy is that ‘i hope it is just the photo set.’ the only reason i said that is because clearly she was sick before and had/ has body image issues (they dont just disappear over night) so if someone like that has gained this much she would probably feel fat (she is not) but she may FEEL that way. I am just talking experience from recovering from ED. But generally when i have seen her skinny she looks happy
The camera angles/lighting are bad (at least in the make you look skinny and toned way). Even Anna Lynne looks softer than usual with the light!
That being said for anyone who thinks Jessica looks out of shape, compare her legs and Anna Lynne’s in picture three, you see the same amount of muscles! (i’m refering so much to Anna Lynne as a fit example because that seems to be the common censuses of the comments on her pics)

some truly bizarre comments on here!!!she is very slim by any standards, and toned??????????? because her upper arms look slightly squishy? maybe that is simply where she gains weight. i really find the comments about toning odd on here, skin and fat overlay muscle. you either have obvious muscle definition, which as a woman is not only difficult to achieve but not always desirable, or you have fat and skin. the other alternative is bones showing as she was before. so there is absolutely no indication that she isn’t exercising or toned, she is simply not muscular. I would also say that if she had a tan a lot of people would view it differently. pale always for some reason looks flabbier.

Hmmm…her weight gain makes me think that she wasn’t eating before and gained the weight as a result of not making wise eating choices. Now she looks as if she gained a lot of flab. She lacks tone.

Dumpy? I think you must be looking at a different photo… she doesn’t look dumpy at all. And when you are pale any muscle definition you have doesn’t always show up on camera. In fact a lot of perfectly slim and healthy people might look bigger than they are in photos. Does that mean they should make themselves underweight so they look better? No.
We need to change our perceptions of what is healthy and unhealthy and remind ourselves that most models are underweight, most photos are photoshopped and most celebs spend hours in makeup for tv shows, films and events in order to look the way they do. And then it all gets touched up in post production as well. It will be interesting to see the 90210 scene this is from as I bet in that they will look toned, tanned and perfect when really they just look nice.

I don’t think we can truly tell if she looks untoned or “dumpy” just by these photos from weird angles. I can see how you would say she is dumpy though if you prefer a super skinny super fit body but to say she looked better before, your opinion or not, is really sad! She looked so skeletal before not only is it unattractive it is likely very unhealthy as well.

Obviously with any weight gain- needed or not can be uncomfortable and it does take time to be okay with this especially when you have struggled with body issues in the past. I just think that she needs to find a balance, a balance in healthy eating and healthy exercising only then will she feel comfortable, happy and confident with her weight, regardless of what she weighs.

We look at one picture of her frowning and assume it means she’s miserable because she gained weight? Seriously? I’d sooner think her panties were just too tight or the heels hurt. Or maybe she was hungry. I wasn’t fond of her 2008 uber skinny look. I saw way too many pics of her that year of her looking like her legs just might give way as she walked down the street. I don’t know where her “ideal” weight is for her body when she’s happy, healthy, eating, and exercising, but she looks fine in these new pics. Add one part slouched body posture with part miserable expression, and throw in bad candid photos will give you the “oh my god she looks miserable fatter” impression. Meh. The girl looks fine.

BUT obviously she had an ed before and i know from expereience that when you have body issues and keep a low weight you generally think you are big when you are no where near big. eventually when you gain weight you can feel gross (because you are sick) EVEN though you are still at a low weight and you look a trillion times better. I was talking from an emotional perspective. I also said that I hope its not because of her weight and its just in this photo set! i said she looks better! i also wasnt fond of her being so thin. to me it looked like she was really ill. SO when someone is ill in the mind regarding body image issues, it doesnt just disappear. This is the last time i explain this comment. It wasnt even negative what i said! it actually makes sense. To the people who say she looks chubby: I think she really doesn’t, it’s just that she looks big in comparision of how skinny she was in the left pic. But if you compare the newer picture with someone with a normal weight, she looks really skinny!

Her body in the second pic looks like mine now, and I feel the need to add that when I was deep into my ED, I looked like Jessica in the first picture and was severely ill. If you have an ED and you start eating semi-normal again, even the tiniest change in calorie intake will make you gain weight. It makes me sad to see that people are calling her fat because it’s so painfully obvious that she is trying to get better. Those with EDs need time to get to a healthy place; we don’t just wake up and go, “Oh, I think I’ll be healthy and work-out and eat 1500 calories today!” It’s not as simple as that. Try “daring” yourself to eat a muffin only to find out you gained a pound from just from that. It’s an awful feeling and I am personally very, very relieved that Jess is recovering. She will find her natural and healthy weight at a pace that is right for her.
On a related note, does anyone else find it surprising to see how much of our body actually consists of fat?? That’s the difference between her at her thin weight and her now – just fat! Not muscle or bone. (I mean, okay, maybe her muscles did get a little bit bigger with increased protein stores…but not that much bigger).
Jessica looks 1000x better with the weight.
I don’t undertastand why she has to be toned even? She does not looking ill, or unhealthy like before, and also she has white skin so it is not so easy to look toned even if you are. When you are tanned you look of course more toned and thinner.
She is a pretty girl, give her a break!
All this “have to look like this, have to do that” is disturbing! Beauty is not equal to looking like VS model for all. It comes in many ways.

Its really weird, i have the exact same height and body shape as Jessica. I’m in between these two weights. (maybe 5lbs lighter than red dress pic).
I think at least for the viewers of 90210 it’s good that she’s back to a healthy weight. Some of these comments are ridiculous. Prob coming from 15 yr old wannarexics..

I’ve looked at many pictures and Jessica is a V-shape – she gains weight in her upper body area, on her arms, shoulders and upper abdomen, while her legs are long and always remain thin.

this girl used to and probably is naturally quite chubby. she went through an extreme weight loss to get to her pic on the left. she looks much healthier now, but she is not even close to what she used to weigh before 90210.

I’m horrified at the comments half of you are making. My god, how critical and judgmental. The girl is NORMAL. NORMAL. The worst thing is everyone who slams her is totally contributing to a world where “normal” is not ok. We can’t all be super skinny naturally, and if you look at pics of Jessica when she was younger she’s clearly not meant to be some waif. I’m all for thin if it is natural and healthy; I’m all for normal middle of the road stylz if it is healthy; I’m all for curvy if it is healthy. There is no one magic number or size- but self acceptance is the most beautiful thing of all. I can only hope that her weight gain is a choice she made to get healthier and is happy about it. I pray she isn’t struggling w/ her self image still.
Fyi- this is eating disorder awareness week. Y’all should spread the love a little bit. Everyone has a responsibility to create a safe place for women of all sizes to accept themselves.

i think that Jessica looks great, absolutely stunning. And i think, going around and calling her “fat’, “chubby”, “not toned”, etc… shows that you seriously have some serious issues. I mean when she was too thin, you raged down on her, and now when she gained a little weight you dish on her as well. I mean guys, get a life! Stop dishing on Jessica Stroup and just let her live in peace!
She’s a great looking actress, and a very talented one also. You can’t imagine the pressure that she goes through, so just leave her alone! She looks just as fabulous as she always did, if not more. So pls guys, keep the hurtful comments to yourselves.
She looked sooo much sexier in the 2008 orange dress. She looked sooooo damn sexy in that orange dress it makes my mouth water. She’s lost that amazingly sexy tight body. Now she looks rather bland, she’s lost those super tight sexy little curves. I really hope she can get back that sexy lean figure. Either way, bless her for showing off that body when she had it.

That picture from 2008 is just creepy, even her face looks scary, just sick, poor girl. Now she looks like a young Sherilyn Fenn and Elizabeth Mcgovern, absolutely stunning! I’m glad she is healthy now, way better!
