Jessica Alba: ‘I have 1,200 cals/day, I also work out, so basically I’m starving’

Jessica Alba: I have 1,200 cals/day, I also work out, so basically I’m starving | jessica alba celebrity quotes

Jessica Alba is featured in Lucky Magazine this month (though the photo-shoot clearly took place many months ago) and she has quite a few interesting revelations. It seems that Jessica, whose figure is highly admired on our site, confessed that ‘it sucks’ to diet, starve and work out.

Post-partum girdle: “I wear a girdle around my tummy from the moment I give birth until it doesn’t feel loosely goosey anymore—that takes a good two to three months. It’s spandex with Velcro.”

No maternity clothes? “I generally don’t wear many maternity clothes…but I am wearing maternity pantyhose, because I can’t fit into the other ones.”

On her meal plan to shape up after the baby: “I have a hard time with portion control, so I have 1,200 calorie meals delivered. But I also work out, so basically I’m starving—it sucks. I drink a lot of water.”

On her post-baby workout: “Working out everyday for even just 45 minutes is good for my mental state. But getting dressed and actually doing it is the worst. It’s hard to get motivated.”

On why she likes to be distracted at the gym: “In the gym, I have like five things to distract me: TV, iPod, magazines. Working partners are good, too, so you can chat and not just drown in your own misery. Sorry, does that sound bad? I just hate working out.”

Megan Fox Does Elle And Talks Beauty, Diet and Exercise

Megan Fox Does Elle And Talks Beauty, Diet and Exercise | megan fox

Hair color: I always wanted to be blonde when I was little, like Barbie and Pamela Anderson, but it would really damage my hair. It was exotic to me, as my entire family has dark hair. If I did it, I would go white- blonde- really platinum.

No cardio: Sport gives me positive energy so I exercise everyday with my trainer, Harley Pasternak. Each circuit is 45 minutes long and I lift weights but never do cardio

No diet: I eat five times a day and don’t diet, but I do eat healthily- mostly raw and vegan food, with no dairy. It’s not always possible with travel and filming, but I try. I also take supplements like silica and fish oil religiously.

Makeup: I try to keep my make-up fresh, clean and pretty on the red carpet. My signature look is red lipstick worn with plain eyes, so I apply a light foundation, then on my cheeks I use blush or sometimes the same lipstick that I’m wearing. Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani Lipstick in 400, £23, contrasts well with my pale complexion and dark hair.

No makeup: Even when I’m working I don’t like wearing too much make-up, but when I’m on my own I go bare-faced as I like to give my skin a rest.

Audrina Patridge: ‘This is my best asset – my stomach’

July 15, 2011 in Audrina Patridge, Celebrity Quotes by Versus

Audrina Patridge: This is my best asset – my stomach | celebrity quotes audrina patridge

Reality TV star Audrina Patridge brings a little quote on her assets and workouts:

This is my best asset – my stomach. I’ve always had a flat stomach. I eat anything I want, but you have to eat in moderation. You have to balance it out, and be active at least five days a week.

I love Pilates, I’m into Pilates now. I don’t like going to the gym, so I find things to do outside, and I do have little five and ten pounder weights. If I’m sitting there, I’ll lift them and do squats and do leg-ups, sit-ups, stroll a little on the beach or in the park. I love riding bikes. I go and find anything possible. I walk my dog. Anything!

… says Audrina in OK! Magazine.

Giuliana Rancic: ‘I Eat Whatever I Want’

July 14, 2011 in General by Versus

Giuliana Rancic: I Eat Whatever I Want | general

2 weeks ago, we were surpised to see Giuliana Rancic posing with 3 plates of pasta, especially since the tv star is famous for her super strict meal plan and has claimed in the past (on numerous occasions) that she consumes ‘NO BUTTER, NO OIL, ever!!’ and that she occasionally ‘indulges’ in just a bite of pasta from her husband’s plate. To see Giuliana’s actual meal plan, as posted on her website, click here!

Interesting twist: these days, Giuliana says that she eats whatever she wants. From Celebuzz:

You just got back from your vacation in Italy. How was it?
It was incredible. It was the best two weeks of my entire life.

Lots of people are talking about the picture you posted online of you eating a big plate of pasta in Italy.
Yeah. I went to Italy, and I consumed way too many calories a day, but I didn’t care. Bill and I made a deal on the plane over that we can’t say “no” to anything, including food. Like if Bill says, “Let’s have a crepe,” I can’t say no — even though I just had a gelato, and I’m full. We indulged like crazy for two weeks, but we took really long walks in the vineyards, and we stayed active. And when we got back to Los Angeles, we were back at Equinox the next day on the treadmill.

If you could say anything to those weight critics, what would it be?
I eat whatever I want. I never starve myself. I eat five times a day — if not more. I workout every day and bust my butt to stay in shape, which can be six to seven days a week.

Jennifer Aniston Brings the Quotes of the Day

Jennifer Aniston Brings the Quotes of the Day | jennifer aniston celebrity quotes

I do yoga, yoga is very important. I love it. If I’m not doing it, then my spirit sort of goes. I try to do some form of exercise, even if it’s just for 20 minute a day, so that I get my body sweating and blood pumping. I indulge when I want to indulge – but I guess it’s all in moderation and consistency.

I absolutely get more comfortable in my body and in who I am as I get older. I was just so awkward and uncomfortable before. I’m way more comfortable now than when I was in my twenties.
