March 11, 2011 in LeAnn Rimes by Versus

… or at least, that is what In Touch Weekly claims:
With her wedding just a few months away, LeAnn Rimes went on a diet to slim down before the big day – but has she taken it too far?
Although LeAnn’s rep denies the story, according to a course, LeAnn is thinner than she’s been in years, and she’s still losing. The source reveals that LeAnn is a bundle of nerves over marrying Eddie Cibrian, and she’s dieting and working out more than ever before.
“LeAnn is determined to look her best,” the source says. “Eddie likes skinny girls, so LeAnn seems to be dieting to keep him interested.”
During a gathering in their Hidden Hills neighborhood, a witness says that LeAnn sipped water and avoided alcohol.
Regardless of LeAnn’s reasons, she is definitely looking skinniER these days. Check out more pictures of her after the jump!

Kelly Brook admitted that maintaining her figure takes a lot of work and unlike many celebs, Gwen Stefani agrees:
“Maintaining my post-baby body is a daily struggle. I’d like to have no rules and eat what I want, but I’ve learned over the years that I’m so disappointed when I can’t wear the clothes I want to wear.”
… says 41 year-old Gwen in a recent interview.

March 10, 2011 in Beauty & Body Image, Celebrity Quotes, Lily Allen by Versus
Lily Allen recently opened up about the struggles she’s had with food – here is her story:
“I used to vomit after meals. It’s not something I’m proud of. But, I tell you what, a lot of people came up to me telling me how great I looked and I’d be on the cover of every magazine. I thought I looked good and it was great to be able to try on clothes and feel a million dollars. But I wasn’t happy, I really wasn’t. I would love to be the skinniest person in the world but I can’t do that without being unhappy — I like food.
People who are famous and successful and live in this mad world tend to die really early, or kill themselves or die in a drugs overdose. I’d rather not so I figure I will go and eat. My idea of hell would be doing this in 25 years’ time. I don’t want to be like Madonna — look at her, she’s mental. No offense but that is not what drives me. I want to get married and have kids and make sandwiches cutting the crusts off.”
… says Lily.

March 10, 2011 in Celebrity Quotes, Hot Models, Kelly Brook by Versus

Lingerie model / actress Kelly Brook recently revealed that her enviable slim and curvy figure requires a lot of work:
‘I love doing shoots in sexy lingerie or swimwear because it makes me feel good about myself but a lot of hard work goes in before those shoots.
I am not as confident about my body as people think. And I’m becoming less and less confident as the years go on.
I love my curves and if anyone saw what I can get through in a meal they’d know that I have to work hard to keep the weight off.’
… says Kelly in Daily Star.

Ford+ model Marquita Pring brings our (very long) quote of the day:
What is your stance on plus-size modeling? Do you think the industry is shifting to a broader audience, or is this just this year’s trend?
“Broader audience” [Laughs]. My stance is that the industry needs to embrace diverse women. I find it interesting that the fashion industry is notorious for change and constantly coming out with newest hottest trends before the previous one has even been played out. I don’t think this uprising of curvier models is just a trend. I think people are realizing that we are healthy, beautiful, happy women who are finally being discovered. I mean, let’s be honest, economically and psychologically it is in everyone’s best interest to include all sizes and models, regardless of the titles put on them. Designers will be making a lot more money by embracing a wider range of sizes, and women everywhere will start to feel better about themselves when they finally realize that to be beautiful, they do not need to conform to someone else’s ideal. I think we need to phase out the category “plus-size models.” I’m a model. I’m doing the same catalogue and editorial jobs as the “normal” models. Slowly, as designers start incorporating bigger girls into their shows and campaigns, I’m confident people will start seeing us as normal, healthy models who are just as beautiful and capable as the girls we are used to seeing. I think curvier models are still viewed as relatively new to the fashion world. People are finally starting to embrace us, and we aren’t just being seen for our tits and ass, but for our overall beauty and ability.
… says Marquita in NY Magazine.
