In 2009, Jaime King was one of the actresses that had the public worried for her extreme weight loss and super skinny figure (picture on the right). We haven’t seen much of her since then, except at an event where she appeared much healthier in 2010 (see the post here) and today, she has an explanation for her yo-yo-ing – from Daily Mail:

Actress Jaime King, 32, admitted that she developed an obsession with having a 20-inch waist in the early Nineties, when the super-skinny heroin-chic look was in vogue (indeed, she did more then just look the part – for a time she even became addicted to the drug).

‘I grew up in Hollywood, and my whole life I’ve believed that I have to look like a 14-year-old.

‘I’ve had this weird expectation that I should weigh 118lb even though I’m 5ft 8½.’

Even today, though she is addressing her problems with a nutritionist, she admits she ‘eats like a toddler’.She says she exists on ‘little bites of lots of different things, like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, turkey bacon, oatmeal and chocolate-covered pretzels.’

LeAnn Rimes is one of the celebrities that loves to talk and show off her super skinny figure – notice how in this interview with the Associated Press, the singer turns the subject from ‘being famous’ to ‘weight’:

AP: Celebrity and fame has changed since you first became famous as a teenager. Now you’re followed by paparazzi and the press focuses on your marriage.
Rimes: It’s interesting. I was told when I was little I couldn’t have an opinion because you want everyone to buy your record and like you. I’m not gonna apologize for who I am and what I’ve gone through. We all are human. I’ve learned you just don’t know what another person has gone through. … People don’t see that. You know, I went through all I’ve gone through in the last few years and I was going through a divorce and I couldn’t get out of bed, and so I gained 10 pounds and then I lose 10 pounds because now I’m moving around and I’m working and you know, I don’t stop and no one sees that (weight loss) actually can happen like naturally. It’s a natural progression of life. It has to be some big deal and some issue so I’m glad there are people out there that are smarter than that and they don’t buy into it.

Since lots of you requested an update on Snooki’s weight loss, here’s a little insight from Daily Mail:

Despite reports her 15lb weight loss is down to healthy eating and exercise, Snooki took to her Twitter page this morning to credit diet pills Zantrex  and the hormone HCG for her new body.

She wrote on her Twitter page: ‘Glad to hear reports that say I look good =) but it’s not because of HCG! Thanks @Zantrex!’

The 4ft 9in reality TV star has been relying on Zantrex fat burning tablets, apparently also favoured by Britney Spears, and drops of the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HGC) hormone for helping maintain her figure.

Side effects of Zantrex can include palpitations, anxiety, cold sweats, nausea, diarrhea, increased heart rate and irritability.

Former plus-size model Crystal Renn made a golden  appearance at the opening night of the 2011 Metropolitan Opera Season in New York last night, where she revealed, once again, her slim figure.

Even though Crystal has lost a lot of weight during the last 2 years, she was once famous for saying:

‘I don’t want young women to think being thin is the only way to be beautiful. Beauty is not a pant size. I’m known for my body and I’m proud of my (plus-size) body.’
