Holly Madison: I market myself as a sex symbol, I dont need to lose weight! | holly madison beauty body image

Holly Madison just entered the ‘Celebrities who were asked to lose weight’ club… and wasn’t too happy about it. Here are the details from Radar Online:

Producers ordered former sexy Girl Next Door Holly Madison to slim down for her role in burlesque Las Vegas show Peepshow, she told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive new video interview. Madison was “shocked” when she was told she’s too fat, and needed to drop some pounds for the hit stage production.

“I always thought I looked fine. It was a shock to me when they told me to lose weight,” the former Playboy Playmate, 32, told RadarOnline.com.

“I’m still up in the air over what to do. I feel like I changed my eating habits to really healthy; I’ve lost a few pounds. I’m still getting there and deciding if I even want to lose weight.’

“I just feel like I market myself as a sex symbol, I don’t market myself as a fitness model or a professional dancer so I feel like the way I look is fine!” she said.

“I don’t think I need to lose weight!”

Ginnifer Goodwin: At 9 years old I weighed about 10 lbs. less than now at 32 | ginnifer goodwin celebrity quotes beauty body image

Ginnifer Goodwin, who recently revealed that she’s been using Weight Watchers to control her weight since the age of 9, opened up more about her past weight problems:

“I began to identify myself as fat. At 9 years old I weighed about 10 lbs. less than what my weight is at 32. I needed to get help.”

“I ended up going to my mother crying. With the counseling of my family doctor, my mother ended up turning to Weight Watchers and their children’s program. I went to weekly meetings, got counseling and would exercise with my peers who were my size. It was the first time I saw a proper children’s portion size, and it wasn’t two burgers, it was one.”

“Her reaction was not, ‘Oh, I’ll help you get skinny. My mother’s reaction was, ‘Why don’t we all go and learn a little more about our health.”

Raven-Symone on Being at Her Heaviest: ‘I Thought I Looked Fabulous and Nobody Else Did’

Raven Symone on Being at Her Heaviest: I Thought I Looked Fabulous and Nobody Else Did | raven symone celebrity quotes

We’ve seen slimmed down Raven-Symone looking great at People’s Choice Awards a few days ago. But Raven is not necessarily happier post-weight loss:

‘Actually, now I wear bigger clothes because I don’t like the way people stare at me. I liked it before. Now, you’re just looking at me for the wrong reasons. Before, you were actually looking at me for a real reason.’

‘I thought I looked fabulous before and nobody else did. So, whatever.’

Raven also mentioned that her weight loss was not intentional, explaining:

That’s what stress does to you. I’ve been not stressing. I’ve been in my own house, decorating and finding hobbies.’
