Fashion choices and bullying: “It’s weird, at school I was torn apart for not wearing a certain brand of jeans. It nearly killed me. I was so embarrassed and so insecure, but I knew I could never put them on. I would look ridiculous.”

Her style: Her natural style is “not experimental,” she admits, “I just wear very functional clothes. When I’m in London I feel so dressed down and young and Californian. Even if I try to look nice when I go out for dinner, I just don’t have a thing. I will always wear no socks and be like, ‘F–k, it’s freezing, what am I doing?”

32 year-old New Girl star Zooey Deschanel is part of People Magazine’s Most Beautiful in 2012 list and she was brave enough to pose for the magazine without any make-up on. Here’s what she says about her looks and style:

I’ve gotten more comfortable with my looks as the years have gone on. All the things I like about myself go along with my flaws. I just have to accept those things.

I put on sunblock in the morning and use organic stuff like Josie Maran, John Masters Organics and Clark’s Botanicals. But I love dark eye makeup. It’s stylized and evokes a certain era.

Beyonce, who was recently named ‘World’s Most Beautiful Woman’ by People Magazine opens up about how her new mom status affected her style and body – from Daily Mail:

On high heels versus flats: ‘I never thought there would be a day when I wouldn’t wear heels. Now that I have a child, I walk around holding her all day, I’m buying loafers and oxfords. I love them, because they’re comfortable, and shorter heels too. [Jay-Z] loves it when I wear flat shoes, which is surprising – he never saw me in flats before! He likes me more natural – just he relaxed, natural me.’

On cutting her own hair: ‘I recently cut two inches myself – I just parted it in the middle and chh-chh-chh!’

On breastfeeding and her body: Beyoncé also revealed how breast-feeding her little one for ten weeks helped her lose ‘the bulk’ of her pregnancy weight, but that she’s now on a strict-protein based diet. She now works out three times a week for 90 minutes, doing a combination of running, dancing and crunches. ‘I’m definitely softer, but I feel my body bouncing back,’ she says.

On her style:
“I didn’t use to wear a lot of color. I guess I’ve been more adventurous with my style and clothes choices since I’ve become a mother. It doesn’t feel as heavy or as big a deal. Before, I was incredibly bashful and shy. When I was younger, I was really uncomfortable in dresses and high heels or anything like that. Over the years, I’ve embraced a more feminine side.”
