Rihanna On Her Vamped-Up Image: ‘That’s not me. That’s a part I play’

Rihanna On Her Vamped Up Image: That’s not me. That’s a part I play | rihanna celebrity quotes

Rihanna shows off her long pair of legs inside the current edition of Vogue UK and she also explains why she opts for a risqué image and ever-changing hairstyles:

On Her Sexed-Up, Vamped-Up Image: That’s not me. That’s a part I play. You know, like it’s a piece of art … I just want to make music. See, people – especially white people – they want me to be a role model just because of the life I lead. The things I say in my songs, they expect it of me and being a role model became more of my job than I wanted it to be. But no, I just want to make music. That’s it.

On Her Everchanging Hair: I don’t ever want to be a theme because then it belongs to someone, and that’s not right. I want to cultivate something that’s part of my personal swagger – whatever my mojo tells me, that’s what I’m going to do…

… says Rihanna in Vogue.

Sofia Vergara Brings Today’s Quote

Sofia Vergara Brings Todays Quote | celebrity quotes body type clothes

“In my 20s, I would have on a mini-skirt and the boobs. Now, if I’m doing something short, I try to cover up [on top]. I’m almost 40, so I had to evolve – it’s natural. I love tight dresses. But I don’t do now tight and short. I do tight and long. I spend a lot of money on shoes and bags. But I wear things I have found all over the world that don’t have to be expensive. I like to dress up.” She also says that she thinks she’s past the age where she could pull off jean shorts: “My son’s friends and girlfriends are wearing them. I don’t feel it’s right.”

Britney Spears Gets Photoshopped for Harpers Bazaar | photoshop job celebrity quotes britney spears

Britney, together with lots of Photoshop touches (smoothing / liquifying / elongating) appear in Harper’s Bazaar this month – here’s the photo spread, together with an interesting style-related part of the interview:

What has been your best fashion look?
I went to the Grammys in 2002, and I had really curly, curly hair. I had a red dress on. It wasn’t short and saucy; it was a long red dress. That dress was fun.

What was your biggest fashion mistake?
Ten years ago at the Billboard awards, I wore this orange hat and orange bra and orange booty pants and purple fishnets. Oh, and I had an orange jacket on.

The outfits Britney mentions in the interview:

Jessica Simpson Is the ‘Style Icon of the Year’

April 22, 2011 in Body Type and Clothes, Jessica Simpson by Versus

Jessica Simpson Is the Style Icon of the Year | jessica simpson body type clothes

Jessica Simpson was just named ‘Style Icon of the Year’ by Us Weekly, partly because of her successful clothing line and partly due to her personal style. Here’s what Jessica tells us about how to dress her body shape:

High-waisted jeans are a risk for me – I’m short! They don’t work unless I’m wearing major platforms and something flattering up top, but not a high collar. If I don’t show my collarbone, I skew uni-boob. We have some high-waisted jeans coming out that I might try. But it does make me sweat, I have to say! My curves are a challenge. I have to be more conscious of what I’m wearing so I don’t look like a complete tool.

… says Jessica.

What do you think of their stylish pick?
