Do you  guys agree with her?

A few days ago, we were surprised to see 65 year-old Helen Mirren nude in a magazine – See the highly comented post HERE! - and we talked about the tangency between sexiness, age and nudity. After dealing with some criticism as a result of her naked shots, Helen replied:

“I like the photos because I thought they were naked in the proper sense of the word naked. I’ve got very little make-up on. There’s no elaborate lighting. He just used a flash. And it’s simple and it’s real. I think that was the intention of the photographs.”

“They weren’t intended remotely to be sexy, I think sex and nudity are really two different things, you see, but then I’m a bit weird like that. Sometimes nudity is sexy. Sometimes it’s not. Sometimes being clothed is more sexy than being nude. I think people tend to get the two mixed up.”

Helen Mirren is 65 years old and guess what, she’s pretty… naked in the new issue of New York Magazine.

Here’s a little quote from the interview:

Mirren on the younger generation: “I’m thrilled young girls are claiming their sexuality for themselves,” she says. “I love bold women: Madonna and Scarlett Johansson—sexy and gorgeous, but not only that. And Miley Cyrus—fantastic! And Lady Gaga. I love the way she’s elevated pop to performance art, or dragged performance art down to pop, or maybe made a wonderful amalgam of the two.” With her coy smile, Mirren looks like the conspiring queen who’s usurped the throne, securing the kingdom for her heirs: “My girls: Miley, Scarlett, Lady Gaga. My team … Yes.”
