18 year-old actress Demi Lovato, who has struggled with an eating disorder recently, decided to post a bikini picture of herself on Twitter. But unlike other celebs, Demi didn’t just mean to show off her bikini body – she also wrote a personal message under the shot:

‘I’ve been working so hard to get healthy and fit. I can’t believe I’m about to do this but I’m so excited.. Here’s my bikini time body! I never thought I’d ever feel confident enough to ever to that. I’m excited how far I’ve come since being completely ashamed of my body. I want any girl/guy out there who struggles with body image or confidence to know that it IS possible to find peace with yourself.’

At request, here’s 22 year-old actress Nina Dobrev in Seventeen Magazine this month, posing in bikinis and tiny colorful outfits and sharing a bit on how she keeps thin & fit. Here are some quotes from the interview:

At the end of last year, I tried being a vegetarian for four months, and after awhile, I started feeling weak, like I needed more protein, more energy,” Dobrev told Seventeen for the first-ever fitness issue. “Then I read a review an episode of The Vampire Diaries online, and in it the writer mentioned that I was looking too thin. I was like, ‘Okay, maybe they’re right.’ It made me think: I need a burger — a beef burger, not a soy burger.

Somebody who talks about how much they’re eating and counts calories is unattractive to me. and when you don’t eat or limit yourself in the things you eat, it affects your mood. I’ve seen people who are a nightmare to be around because they’re not eating.
