Sienna Miller Likes Plus-Size Models
December 17, 2009 in Sienna Miller by Versus

Before acting, Sienna Miller dabbled in modeling.
“I was, like, the short, funny one that they booked to make the other girls laugh and to make them look taller.”
What did she think of V magazine’s purported upcoming plus-size issue?
“I suppose that’s something you’d have to say — I couldn’t sit here and say, ‘No, I’m not [into it],’” she said. “But I sincerely believe that that’s more beautiful than someone who is poker-thin. I really do. I would love to have boobs to go with my hips, but I don’t — that’s just not the way the cookie crumbled.”

she doesn’t have a thing to worry about! she looks very good
lol, I saw her boobs in a movie…they look nice and better than sagging DDs hahaha
Do they look better than DD’s that don’t sag?
I think they do. I’m not a fan of large breasts at all, particularly in clothing!
I doubt she’d want to look like that…if she did, she’d probably not be as skinny as she is.
yeah, i dont really get celebrities that make these comments. It’s really not that hard to gain weight if you want to. I know some people have a faster metabolism, but I find it hard to believe that all these hollywood girls fall into that unique category!
“It’s really not that hard to gain weight if you want to.”
You’re absolutely, completely wrong about that statement. I feel sad when I see people that don’t understand the effort that naturally thin women exert when trying to gain weight, because it is those people that make the rude “anorexic” comments. It’s not just about metabolism, it’s about the fact that the body won’t build muscle mass, and the number of fat cells is non existent.
However, I agree with you that not all Hollywood women fall into this category.
I am sorry but i have to agree with Mizzy; it’s just weird – to put it nicely – how everyone (or 90%) in Hollywood won the fast metabolism lottery. I know naturally thin people. But they look and eat normal, they are not underweight people pretending to eat everything everywhere. I am underweight myself and i know this is not natural, even though no one in my family is overweight, even my grandparents are thin, so yes, i am naturally thin but not like this. And frankly, i have known people who actually couldn’t gain weight, but not more than 2-3 (i can actually only think of one person, however i assume i forgot about others). Mizzy said exactly what you said, Casey, just that she did not wrap it nicely. Because, honestly and logicaly, fast metabolism – or incredibly fast metabolism – is not a rule; it is a genetical exception.
I agree, it most definitely is a genetic exception and the majority of the people don’t fall into that category, just like the majority of people don’t fall into the category, “unable to lose weight.”
But I think media outlets like Hollywood or modeling, filter out these genetic exceptions. Naturally thin women are attracted to the entertainment industry, and the entertainment industry is attracted to naturally thin women. So there is a higher percentage of them in media than everyday life.
However, I am sure plenty of celebrities/models also have “normal” genes and just work out and put themselves on strict diets. It’s hard to tell which is which though, and we shouldn’t make assumptions either way.
I’m sorry for jumping on Mizzy. I interpreted her remarks as, “It’s easy for me to gain weight, therefore everyone is like that,” which is irritating because by that ideology I’d already be 120 pounds a long time ago.
Well, as an actor, not the naturally thin part should be the filter, but the acting skills. That is not the case in most hollywood. Just needed to say it, i know it is not topic related
Haha, I WISH ability to act was the main filter for acting!
thanks for clarifying my comment. I just get lazy when it comes to typing. Anyway, i do agree with you that naturally skinny women are probably more likely to be attracted to the entertainment industry. I never really thought about it that way, but it’s true that the job picks the person just as much as the person picks the job. I guess it just drives me nuts that every single skinny actress out there claims it is impossible for her to gain weight, because I am sure that’s the farthest thing from the truth in many of these cases.
i agree. i’m a thin girl and it’s hard to eat everything and not gain a pound at times. some thin girls can gain but some don’t. everyone has different metabolism and for me i would love to gain more weight into my hips and thighs but hey i can’t force the food to go down there. it will go where ever it goes. most of the time it goes straight to my stomach.
I think I kind of get what she is saying. It sounds to me like she’d have liked it if she were one of the lucky ones who gets to be thin, curvy, w/naturally fully boobage, but for her, if she’s going to be thin, (which of course, being a star she must), she’s not going to have that boobage. At least not naturally. She’s not my favorite person, but hey, at least she didn’t fall into the mindset that she must have implants to get roles.
I agree. I don’t think she was claiming she couldn’t gain weight and thus didn’t have boobs. She was just saying she has to stay thin because of her job, and because of her body shape she can’t be slim and hourgalss-y looking at the same time.
I’m not so sure about her comment. I think some people look better skinny and others with some more curves – if those curves are at the right places.
And unfortunately we can’t decide WHERE our body gains weight.
I hope this makes sense to you
I totally agree, it’s not her fault if gaining weight doesn’t make her chest larger. It probably goes to her hips or stomach and makes her look really disproportioned. I wouldn’t want to gain any weight if it was going to make me dislike my body and make me feel uncomfortable!
I know she didn’t say that exactly, but its my interpretation….
think she should have contuniued with modelling, she is a terrible actress!
She could also be trying to say that she simply doesn’t look good with more weight as she isn’t one of those people who gain it in their boobs. I’m like that and when my weight goes up, it pretty much all goes to my thighs. I went from 112-125 and the damn weight didn’t go where I wanted it to.
I think this is it.
I was both 127 and 112 as an adult, and when I’m 127 all I have more is a belly, and bigger thighs. Still B cup boobs, and still stick arms. Those 15 pounds minus made my waist from 73 to 62cm!
Few people gain like an hourglass, which is why I wish people would stop wishing everyone was curvaceous. NOT EVERYONE can have a thin waist, and curves in the right places. 50% of women are shaped like a ruler (and when you gain, you look like a block) and a good portion more are pears and apples (which also if they have more weight, end up looking disproportionate).
I liked my ass when I was 127, but I’d rather have a smaller one if it means I don’t look 5 months pregnant.
Sienna is naturally skinny. And she just couldn’t gain weight, unless she literally ate like a pig. And you never know where the excess weight will go – sometimes it goes streaight to your tummy, which isn’t attractive.
I think she was just saying she would have liked a bigger bust and liked the photoshoot, not that she wanted to look like Lizzie Miller – you can want to stay slim and yet still appreciate a larger figure than your own.
boobs to go with what hips? She has a straight figure.
