Shakira in a Super Short Black Dress

The always smiley Shakira attended the 40 Principales Awards photocall at Sports Palace in Madrid yesterday and she chose a belted fringe number that happened to be very very short.
How do you guys find her outfit for the event?

Wow, her outfit is super interesting. I love it how celebs can wear whatever they want and get away with it! I absolutely lovee her statement necklace! And her multiple belts look really cool! I also love her heels…ok I’m sure many will disagree on this lol.
Now about her figure: I think her body looks great! She looks fit and toned. She has awesome legs too– muscular and long.
i think shakira is beautiful and has a great body… though i’m not sure how her backside is covered. love the shoes. hate the cornrows! not sure about the dress… don’t love it, don’t hate it.

I actually really like the dress, I just wish the tights were more opaque. Her figure looks great, though.
Why is it that tights never seem to photograph well? I think she looks interesting but a bit overstyled. I think when you are naturally pretty like she obviously is you don’t need to try as hard to look sexy. She seems to have lost a lot of weight to me.
Shakira has a very unique sense of style. I think it works for her.
She seems to be having an identity crisis lately. She does not look good. I get wanting to be edgy or whatever, but she looks like she is trying way to hard!

also, does anyone else think its funny how much she un-hisanicized herself? she used to be dark tan, etc. now she looks kind of fake. like Hitler told her she needs to look white. i think its all cool when girls die their hair but she also went for dyed eyebrows (i know i goes with her hair, but it makes her look like she has a white supremacy issue) and her lip color is so.. white?

the nose looks the same to me, i think we all change when we grow up, so did she. Also she was like 15 years old on that picture, and im saying this because i’ve changed a lot and im 22 years old.
I noticed the same thing as well. I always thought she was better looking with darker hair but that look was too “ethnic” for hollywood i guess.
Oh come on people. Let’s not assume the reason she dyed her hair is because she wants to look less Colombian. In fact I bet most people in this thread don’t even know where Colombia is let alone what Colombian people are ‘supposed to look like’.
Many Black and Asian people bleach their hair and I don’t think it is automatically because they want to look like a white person (although many Asian cultures do see this as a beauty ideal) it is just a personal style choice.
Anyway looking at the ‘nose job’ pictures I don’t see a whole lot of difference other than hair colour and eyebrows and the blonde suits her complexion a lot better. Too bad she can’t change her voice as it annoys the hell out of me!
I don’t remember saying anything about what Colombian people look like. My opinion is based on other variables.

actually i live in miami where like 20 percent of population is colombian and i have many many colombian friends. they are all very tan with straight black hair that comes from their native indian roots.
i dont know why she does it and i dont even know how i feel about it i just wanted to point it out after i saw her in the last magazine issue. ive never seen her skin so white eighter. all i know is that since she made her first english album she went blonde and now she is lighten than ever. not criticizing it, just poing out an observation
When she used to only sing in Spanish(back when I liked her music) she had black hair with really pale skin she looked a lot prettier to me and her style was very different and music as well. She went really pop and blonde when she started to sing n English. And from what I know a lot of Colombians are light skin with dark hair.
she was peroxide blonde adn trashy for whenever wherever. went dark again for a while and has just recently for this album gone slightly lighter again. i think she just enjoys playing around with her look. i’ve been every colour under the sun hairwise. loads of girls fake tan despite their natural tendency to pale skin. its not a ethnic thing, its a girl thing.
although on a personal note, her ‘hips don’t lie’ look, natural curls in brown, was sooo much nicer and i was disappointed when she changed it. as a white freckly blonde i would give anything for that olive skin!!

I’m not sure what I think of her. When I saw her video for “she wolf” I was literally like, omg she is so much hotter than she used to be, body, face, everything (yes, she was still hot before, I was just surprised at how well she pulled off such a dramatic change). BUT, ever since, when I see her in photographs like this, she doesn’t look as good with the makeover to me, and kind of fake, as others have pointed out. I dunno. She is a natural beauty though.

There’s nothing wrong with her dying her hair. i don’t get that.. She certainly isn’t fake looking at all, and she has had this nose for a long time. It looks original to me. It is not the conventional hollywood fake nose that every nose job looks like.
I agree with jjj…she doesn’t look faker than all the real “white” girls in Hollywood…plus she’s always had a very fair skin since she had her natural dark hair, her tan is not her real color. All women who dye blonde dye their eyebrows too, normal. But yeah she hs the hooker look now…Shakira changes from time to time, so that’s temporary for her new album…every album she release she turns into a different look, I kinda like that
