Gisele Bündchen – Skinny Mom-to-Be
October 26, 2009 in Gisele Bündchen, Pregnant Celebrities by Versus

Spotted: Gisele Bündchen and her round baby bump!
Gisele is a clear example of a future mom who gained weight exclusively in her belly area – her legs are still intactly skinny!
Check out 2 more after the jump!

wow now that’s what i’d wanna look like pregnant! Though if i had that skinny legs i’d look sickly, i think. Skinny suits her, even preggers.
omg. sexiest pregnant woman I’ve ever seen in my life. I wish I looked this hot NOT pregnant.
poor baby
poor baby??? why? because she is pregnant and NOT looking like a cow??? good for her because she cares about her body not like other women…just because you are pregnant doesn’t mean you have to eat like a cow and also look like one…..
i think your comment is very ignorant. not every woman stuffs her face when pregnant! a lot of pregnant women eat very balanced and healthy (of course not to maintain their weight in the first place but for the health of their babies) and still put on quite a lot of weight on the belly but also hips, thighs, butt etc. it’s called NATURE! your body adapts to having a baby which means that it also stores some extra fat and often your pelvis gets a bit wider for giving birth to a child. lucky gisele that she maintains her model body and i also think she looks very good, but you can’t blame a woman for gaining some extra weight while she’s pregnant.
So pregnant women should be on low calorie too or you have something against the belly too?We have to protect the baby and feed both of us.Beside offending a pregnant woman is very bad since she’s not eating grass or looking like one.
You are right. Women should not be on low calorie diets while pregnant and we need to gain some weight to support the creation of a healthy child.
And most women are not built like Gisele, therefore, to look like that while pregnant is unattainable for most women. She has very little body fat to begin with and it is no surprise that she hasn’t gained much weight. At least it’s not a surprise to me.
Enia, you are so ignorant. you should never be a mother! Gisele with her boy hips, no tits and no ass looks like a foul Anna Wintour creation.
Good for her. After she has the baby she will be able to return to her pre-baby weight without too much effort. I guess what most people don’t realize, the baby takes from you what it needs. If you eat your normal amount of food, the baby will starve you so that it develops properly. So you eat a little extra to make up for the amount the baby takes from you and you’ll be fine. You don’t have to gain 100 pounds when you are pregnant. Once you start eating that much, you stretch to body and will never be able to return it to normal without surgery.. I’m sorry, but that certainly isn’t more healthy for you..
Thank you for being one of the few people on messaging boards for using scientific facts rather than folk-tale beliefs!
No, there is no need to eat extra FOR THE BABY when carrying, if you were eating enough and nutrient-rich food to begin with.
You eat extra so that you yourself do not develop vitamin deficiencies or anemia, and to be healthy and be able to fight off illness which can put your baby at risk. But 50 pound gain is unnecessary and will not make your baby develop any faster or better than putting on a 10-20 pound gain. After all, the baby is less than 5 pounds for the majority of the nine months. It does not require as much as some women tend to claim.
By the way, Gisele is looking beautiful as always. Can’t wait to see the set of VS babies that are due soon.
I am going to assume that your 10-20 lb weight gain comment is for women who are already overweight when they get pregnant. Ideal weight gain for a woman who is at a healthy weight is 25-35 lbs. Experts also recommend eating an extra 300 calories a day during pregnancy, which isn’t much at all.
To the other posters who call pregnant women fat cows, I am amazed at the lack of maturity and sensitivity. Many women carry a lot of water while pregnant, regardless of their diet and exercise routines and they lose the weight right after they give birth. Try and have a little sensitivity.
well said Kae!
Oh in regards to the 10-20 pounds, I was just trying to say that gaining pounds over the ideal isn’t going to make the baby healthier than even gaining weight under the ideal.
It’s just, sometimes women go on to gain 50ish pounds during pregnancy, and then claim that it was for the baby. Then they turn around and claim that all women need to gain a lot of weight to have a baby successfully. The baby does not need that much. It was either a bad diet, bad genetics, or a combination of both that caused the rest of the weight gain.
Okay, gotcha. I understand what you’re saying.
jjj, thank you for being one of the few people on messaging boards for using scientific facts rather than folk-tale beliefs!

Whoops, didn’t mean to double-post.
She never looks happy.
Why? because she is not smiling? I’m not smiling everytime when I’m walking in the street or in the supermarket or everywhere else… but that doesn’t mean I’m not happy. I think the same happens with her.
the other women arent smiling either. big deal. as ali said, i dont walk around with a smile plastered on my face, but I am verrrry rarely unhappy.

aww. she looks so good and beautiful and gorgeous!
