On people saying that her shape is too masculine / muscular:

IMO, having a body like Pink is much better than having a too skinny body. In Pinks case its obvious that shes doin sport.

Her husband clearly loves her. There is always someone that is attracted to you, no matter what shape you have. I think she is attractive. She looks healthy and fit. She dresses well also.

Not my taste, but out of all of the muscular/athletic women I have seen, she has the best body.
My body type is exactly like hers and I totally agree with what she is saying. Some people are just naturally muscular (whether it be genetics or sports they did growing up), and there is nothing we can do to change that. I didn’t wear shorts for years because I was so emberassed by my leg muscles – guys used to stop me and ask me what kind of weights I lift. The only way to get rid of that kind of muscle is to starve oneself, and it’s definitely not worth it!
my legs are thin, but muscular because of the years i played soccer. Even in times i don’t do any type of sport, those muscles don’t dissappear.
Yeah, starving would take the muscles away, because your body takes the energy of the muscles if it doesn’t get any other energy. So I started loving my muscles and everythings all right ^^
People can be very mean sometimes and create a problem where there wasn’t any before. I think Pink has a very nice body, I don’t see any fat, you can actually see muscle definition. I’m not built like her although I work out and lift weights. Anyhow, I’d definitely choose bulky over flabby

I admire her. She is super fit and obviously takes care of her body. Although I personally would rather have a slender softer figure on myself, I just think Pink is amazing and I love how is proud of her figure and shows it off:)

I used to be very critical of women’s bodies but I am learning *finally* that EVERY single woman has a unique body type, figure, shape ect. And the best thing they can do is work with what they have.

don’t get me wrong, I love her and think shes a great role model body wise, but shes just a little bit hyprocritical.
I´m not a big fan of her body…she´s fit and toned but IMO she looks like a man when I look at her body.
I wouldn’t want her body but I like that she likes it. She is right, most gymnasts are short and stocky but also muscular. She is defently in shape. I wish should would act/dress a little more feminine sometimes tho. She might look better with a different hairstyle – short still but maybe a little more fluffy.
Pink is awesome! seen her twice in concert, met her n NY.. she is just really cool! sure, maybe masculine.. but she likes it, so thats all that matters really
Sure, she is super fit, but (as I have stated before) she does not appear to be as “toned” or “fit” when it comes to her legs which makes her body look kinda weird. I dont know if its because she doesn’t show her legs as much, but it reminds me of the guys that work out alot on their arms but have a flabby stomach.
i don’t think that’s fat on her legs at all. that’s muscle! have you seen sprinters or track cyclists? their legs are huge like that too. she’s just got some strong quads!
Maybe she now has worked on her legs, but before they were just “thick” but not toned. Besides, muscles on a female will not be that “huge” unless the legs are naturally fuller to begin with. Take for instance, Madonna or Sheryl Crow; they have very muscular legs, yet they are still slender. We just cant fight what nature gave us!

what little fat pink has is probably all in her inner thighs. i’m like that too! damn genetics 
From this guys perspective, her legs are her best attribute. Well shaped and not too hard looking. Outside of that, she is a little too masculine IMO. Too straight in the waist/hip area.
i would hate her body its like a mans.but she is toned.pink is not at all sexy though.i admire that she is fit and workouts alot though.her body for me is just weird it will always remind me of a man.
i don’t think she has a manly body, at all. why does having muscle mass make girls think it’s “manly”? i’ve always felt that a body like hers is much nicer than an ordinary thin woman — it implies she works hard to be healthy and she is happy to do so. when you work out and see results like hers, it’s hard NOT to be proud of the body you’ve worked hard for. i know because i work out alot too and i am very happy to see muscles in my arms, legs, and my stomach, though i don’t look like pink… exercise is a way of life for many people and the others (who don’t exercise) just can’t understand it or really appreciate what it takes to have a (very nice) body like hers.
Why? Because typically men have a lot of muscle mass whereas women don’t.
She works hard to be the shape she is, she looks healthy, probably can kick most of our butts, and seems happy with herself. All good things. But I don’t think it’s surprising that people consider her shape “manly.” It is. It’s just a description. There’s nothing wrong if she wants to look manly, good for her, but she does look that way.
i know exactly what you mean camille. I stopped wanting to be a waif a couple of years ago, and going to the gym, seeing a muscle develop over weeks, a muscle I know I deserve is an amazing feeling. having a strong body makes you feel invincible. skinny skinny might still be in but i’ll take muscle mass anyday!!

i personally dont think that marissa has a huge amount of muscle mass, i think that she simply has so little body fat that you see all her underlying muscles. so no, i’d rather have more definition and bulk.
Camille, she looks manly because men have narrow hips just like she does. And in terms of muscle mass, again a male trait. Guys like a balance of fitness and curvaceousness. You will gain much respect for your determination and discipline to work out and improve your fitness, but if you look too masculine as a result, the softer, curvaceous, and less fit woman standing next to you in the club will get all of the attention.
Some of you may not like the way her body looks, but I can’t help but think that she could probably kick our asses ha ha!!! The only reason I’d be scared of those muscles is if she rared back to strike me with one of them, lol!!!
here’s a question for everyone who thinks she is too manly:
what do you say about someone like jessica biel? she certainly has just as much muscle mass as pink.

I think because Biel has boobs & a butt, she may not appear as “manly” as Pink; also, Biel’s muscles are (or were, as those pics are a couple years old and she has lost a lot of that muscle mass) primarily concentrated on her arms and shoulders.
i think jessica is much curvier than pink, with a larger bust and a rounder butt. those things make her appear a lot less masculine than pink. i think that both pink and jessica look great, but jessica definitely looks a lot more feminine with all of that muscle mass.
I always thought of Jessica as manly; Pink looks like a fit woman, i never actually thought she was manly. Ok, maybe her abs scare me sometimes, but generally she is not.

Pink’s quote makes sense, I had always wondered how her body was so muscular and now its nice to know. extensive / strengh training sports stunts children’s growth. that why it is advised to stop doing such sports when children start puberty. Ballet & Swimming would alo fall under harsh sports category and has the same effect on growth.
*edit* these sports are categoried under a certain type of sport but I forgot the proper name ,sorry.
Personal tastes always vary, but I’m sure we call agree she is healthy, fit, and happy. I admire that and could not imagine pink any other way.

i am not a muscular type and will never be cause i haven’t done that many sports but i have often wondered what it would be like to be that fit and strong. i love adrenaline sports though haven’t had much oppertunity to indulge, and now i think i am too old and unfit! i think it would be pretty cool to be this fit.
It’s true – speaking as former gymnast myself, I’m short (though I’m also genetically predisposed to be) and also very muscular (which, on the contrary, I’m not predisposed to be at all.) It’s been about a year since I’ve done anything due to injuries, but I still find that my shoulders are very broad, my arms thick, and my legs very large and not because of fat.
Although I must admit the rest of my body is not quite as slim as she. I would guess she’d be a pear shape under all that muscle?
I can see where she’s coming from on the gymnast’s body thing. I did gymnastics from the age of about 6 till I was 16, then coached for a while. I’ve found that my shape has, partly at least, developed from that. I have fairly muscular arms and shoulders, and my legs are bigger than a lot of people my size and height, because of how much muscle I built up there when I was a gymnast. I haven’t gone near a gym since I was 19 and now I’m 23, still have the legs. Still solid muscle. Same with the arms. I think it does permanently alter body shape. Luckily (I think, purely because of my personal preferred body aesthetic) I did get boobs and hips and a waist when I stopped with the gymnastics – still got the muscle though. Pink looks great, actually, very strong and toned, and it’s nice to see someone with legs exactly like mine, making them look great!

Glad there are some fellow gymnasts here! I’m still a gymnast– three days a week– and my body shows it. I don’t have much body fat, but I have as much muscle as a body builder, and it’s certainly not lean muscle. It depends on how your body builds muscle. I wish I had a sleeker look, but then I should’ve picked a different sport =P

The way she went about her transformation is amazing and inspirational. She used the Beach Body P90X system and it is a total butt kicker. She was dedicated to the program with fitness and nutrition. She worked very hard for that body. I admire and look to her. She has inspired me to get back on the P90X program to achieve my fitness goals.
I personally do not want to be that muscular but to just be a healthy weight and toned. I think it looks great on her however. She has always been an in your face over the top performer so why expect anything less of her.
