I love the black dress in the photoshoot. Yeah, she’s photoshopped to oblivion but it’s to be expected.
because when they say they love curves they just mean a presence of boobs and hips. but it still has to be contained. its funny, really. they take bigger girls and shrink them but still keep the cuvy body outline. yea, its not the same..

I don’t think the celebrity is always the one to “decide” to have photoshop. Most of the time magazines just go ahead and do it anyway, without the person’s permission.
There is something about her face that reminds me of Angelina Jolie when she was in her prime. Maybe it is the profile and the eyes, but facially she looks quite similar I think.
I don’t think she looks chubby at all actually. Just really curvy. In the left, she has slight curves, whereas the right picture shows much much more curves. I wouldn’t call that chubby at all. If she were chubby her stomach would probably be just spread out and bulging out. But it isn’t.

And to the person who says she has no fashion sense, imagine how hard it would be to dress that body. Ppl critize her when the breasts pop out, but how do you hide breasts that big? She’s not a tiny model, it’s gonna be harder to dress.
Yeah true that her boobs will pop out occasionally… But come on, look at the size of the dress over her boobs, it is quite clearly too small for her = breasts everywhere. She has a nice bust, but it’s a little indecent to have them shown so much.
They kept the same shape but just downsized it, and with skinny girls they make their curves look bigger. Photoshop makes it look like everyone is the same, its stupid, we all know what actresses really look like.
I hate to say it, but the one on the left looks prettier to me. I know it’s not her though, so I guess it’s misleading and irresponsible. But I do lol.

People have got to stop ragging on Christina. She has massive breasts and they are hard to fit in clothes without having the clothes look baggy on the rest of her body. Regardless, she’s a beauty.

I think they made her look like a redhead Angelina Jolie on the left which is tragic because she’s very pretty the way she is.
That said, the dress on the right was an unfortunate choice. It’s too small, hence the armpit fat. Usually she picks out dresses that fit better still without looking frumpy (remember the Emmys?) And I was never a fan of ruffles starting below the hip. Hard to pull off for anyone IMO.

As a woman with huge breasts (32F), I can sympathize with having difficulty finding clothes that fit. But Christina has stylists and tailors, yet she still looks like she’s trying to shove her top half into something that’s about 4 sizes too small. The whole breast thing she’s got going on looks terrible. They shouldn’t be smooshed up under the armpits like that. Nor should they form a square shape from being pressed in so far. If she wore better fitting clothing she would be amazing!

I’m a 32E and have also had issues with clothing but eventually I discovered what works for me and what doesn’t, and squeezing my boobies into something they just don’t fit in does not work & looks terrible.
On an unrelated note, I think Christina has a smoking body and a very very stunning face

They slimmed down her hips in the first picture way too much.
I mean, Christina Hendricks is kind of like Marilyn Monroe…she is known for her curves. If I was a magazine editor, I would emphasize that, and if I were to photoshop, I would make her even curvier than she is, not less curvy!
Her face looks pretty recognizable. Was the magazine spread taken a while ago? It looks like it was because of the hair, although it might be extensions. But I do like her with shorter hair better.
Clothing wise… I think the dress on the left is MUCH, MUCH sexier & better. Everyone knows she has curves, so if she covers them now once in awhile, she looks classy.

The photo shop picture is much much prettier. She is attractive on the right but I wouldn’t call her pretty. I hate the way she dresses. She always looks like an old western movie saloon hooker.

yeah sadly the photoshop picture doesn’t resemble her at all, at first glance it could be any model.. and that is sad. most people would recognize her for her sexy body, but the picture portrays a skinny red head who could be anyone

I am 4 foot 9 (yes really short..lol) and and 37 30 37
I don’t think I look very overweight in photos, but it is so hard when your my height cause any extra weight counts. but anyway what would my body shape be? and is it possible for someone my height to look a normal weight with my measurements ?

How can you not look at Christina and think Beauty, Sex, and woman? Well all of those out there that think CK1 is great, there are still some men in the world that love a woman’s body and are not attracted to pre-pubecent boy bodies with FAKE breasts. I don’t understand why everytime I look on tv or in a paper you only see really skinny women. I guess there are too many closet, male homosexuals out there that pretend the skinny women are boys.

Well, women look like women regardless of size. Just like women are attracted to different types of men, men are attracted to different types of women. I am a slender gal and I have no trouble attracting men. As far I as I am concerned, they are all straight. Women come in different sizes. Size does not determine how capable you are as a mother, wife and friend. Also, it would be difficult to pretend that a thin women is a boy considering the fact that she still has a vagina and would still look like a woman.
Anyways, Christina is wonderful and it is a shame that the editors felt the need to photoshop the life out of her.
Versus… question about body shape. Which body shape is the closest to this (I’m talking about skinny young woman/girl body): small frame, shoulders are the same width as the hips, but there is a small waist, small breast and some booty. Legs are quite skinny. Could it be a (curvy) ruler or a small vase (with small breast)?

Vases always have big breasts. Your description sounds close to a column / ruler shape. If her limbs are long, too, then that’s definitely her shape.

I can’t dispute the fact that her face is absolutely stunning, she is beautiful, but I don’t really get all the fuss about her body. All her appearances and photoshoots have her in corsets or girdles or something. I get that she’s a natural hourglass, but I still think that if we saw someone else with her exact figure in a bikini they’d get some rather unpleasant comments. I do like her and she is gorgeous, but to me she’s just a big girl with her waist cinched in and her boobs pushed up.

My best guesses are cello (like an hourglass, but with a thicker waist) or ruler – rulers aren’t as curvy, but they gain evenly too.
thanks so much! I think I have finally found my body type- cello. I’ve always not quite been hourglass but not quite straight up and down either, and I never knew where I fell.
People, we are comparing apples and oranges with this “Skinny VS Curvy” thing, anyway. “Skinny” speaks to weight; “Curvy” speaks to shape… and VS denotes “either/or”. No one here has ever seen a “skinny” person, who is also “curvy”?
I better go into hiding then. Before I am shipped off to Area 51, for further study.
