Penelope Cruz Brings the Quote of the Day

On her treat before the Oscars:
I ate an In-N-Out burger and then I went to the red carpet. What’s so surprising about that? I do it, like, once a week or once every two weeks. It’s my little treat for myself. I love the Double-Double with fries.”
To me, it doesn’t sound surprising when skinny / slim / thin celebs say they eat burgers, fries, pizza or cupcakes occasionally – Penelope said that it’s her weekly treat, not her staple food.
What do you guys think?

I believe that if you want to achieve perfect body (meaning whatever you think is best for you), you have to give yourself little treats from time to time. If you cut off your favourite unhealthy food completely you will become frustrated and you are more likely to give up your healthy diet.
Penelope looks slim, healthy and happy, so I’m not surprised at all

Penelope isn’t even that skinny, thin yes but not skinny IMO. Nothing surprising about having one burger every now and then, esp. if the rest of the stuff she eats those days isn’t in the “packed w/ kcals and all kinds of junk” category.
Why are people so surprised? This is the way to be skinny, healthy AND happy. Thin and healthy doesn’t mean eating lettuce all day. It means eating healthy 90% of the time, having some small snack every day if that’s your thing (like a couple tablets of high quality chocolate), and occasionally eating your favourite junk food. That way you don’t end up miserable, or binging.
There’s such a thing as having 1 burger and then stopping, having one cookie and then stopping, having a small bowl of chips and then stopping. If you eat healthy 90% of the time, and exercise, you actually don’t gain every time you do eat in a more relaxed manner.
I agree completely and as i have said it before, it’s all about balance.
Yeah, moderation is key. Otherwise you end up bingeing which will make you feel much worse. I know from experience

Penelope is gorgeous! And I love her attitude about food. I agree with all the previous comments posted on here.
She can eat whatever she wants to. She’s got the bod that looks good skinny and even better with some weight. She’s very sultry, without being vulgar.
Totally believe her, I am 5ft 110 pounds (and trying to lose a bit of weight) i’m dieting some by not drinking soda or eating sweets or high calorie foods but once in a while I do eat sweets and just today I had a buger and fries but no soda. And I am still losing weight I just make sure that on those days that I eat those foods I exercise more and eat a little less than on healthy food days
