Minka Kelly Is “The Sexiest Woman of 2010″, Says Esquire

Last year, it was Kate Beckinsale who took home this desirable (?) sex-symbol crown and this year, it’s 30 year-old actress Minka Kelly who tops the top. Here’s a little quote from her:
“I’m so excited to be a woman. I’m confident in my skin, and I’m cool with my flaws and all that stuff. I think my thirtieth birthday gave me permission to have all that. The twenties were a pain in the ass — figuring it all out.”

whenever I see a men’s mag, or pics like this from a men’s mag, the phrase “simple things please simple minds” always pops in to my head for some reason….am I saying men are simple? Hehe
Anyway I always thought she was really pretty, I never really understood how they choose these “sexiest” women tho, but she is really pretty with a nice body.

I think her BMI is around 19-20, which isn’t too skinny. At least a VS antroid with a BMI of 16 wasn’t selected, that would be far worse.
I stopped the vid half way through because I felt embarrassed watching it. How can she writhe around like that, isn’t she so embarrassed to be named “sexiesst woman alive” when obviously there is no such thing. I got a few friends who would thrash her in sexiness. And I’m sure millions of other girls in the world are just as sexy. It sends a bad message and its just.. awkward.

Agreed. It’s really very demeaning and I don’t understand why many people see this tyoe of thing as empowering for women. She’s a sex object for men and nothing more.

Yeah I also agree – the video doesn’t show anything about her person and why she was chosen as the most sexy. I know tons of pretty girls who could make a video like that… nothing speciel about it.

I had to check her on IMDB bc her name sounded familiar, but i think the only thing i’ve seen where she’s been is Parenthood, and to that show i’ve paid so little attention to whenever i’ve caught a glimpse that i don’t remember who she is. OK, when are these silly contests going to be over? Every month we have a new sexiest woman in the world, it’s becoming really tiring…
And every time they put some new girl which needs help in promoting herself because she is not very well known in Hollywood… I remember seeing Emmanuelle Chriqui being the sexiest woman in Esquire and asking myself – OMG, now who’s this??? I found out about her in that way.
Actually I’m pretty sure she was sexiest for askmen.com which was actually based off of voters. So that’s a legitimate win on her part.

She’s gorgeous and curvy however NO ONE will top the “Good Morning Megan” video because the rest of these videos have been a little contrived to say the least except for the Mila Kunis one. Megan’s video was extremely natural. She wasn’t touching herself or lying on a stove with hot pots and pans. The camera crew simply followed her around for a day at a location that seemed like her house (or that’s what they were going for).

I, for one, don’t feel bad looking at her because I somehow don’t think she’s flawless, or even really beautiful. Yes, she’s pretty, but I’m more taken aback by a supermodel or VS Angel than this girl. Also, you don’t necessarily know that. A lot of gorgeous people aren’t confident. Even Miranda Kerr admitted in an interview once that had a few insecurities.
I think she is gorgeous I have always found her to be really beautiful and cute. The video seems a bit forced and corny almost as if it is a parody or something.
its funny how in the second and third pictures her legs are waaaaaay meatier than in the fifth lingerie shot.

Let’s be honest. She looks fun, cute and sexy. That’s what most men want und what I like too. Especially high-fashion models like Claudia Schiffer don’t really appeal to men because they are not giggling around or making hilarious statements about their boobs. Minka could be living next door and that makes her far more reachable than a model photographed by Peter Lindbergh.

Mens magazines have simple headlines for simple minds? Really. Sorry they don’t have thought provocking headlines like,”101 Secrets to the Big O!” or “1000 sex tricks that will drive your man wild.”. Or how about the year Glamour magazine named Zeta Jones woman of the and another woman who survived gang rape and opened a school for other rape survivors in the middle east was just nominated. . . I agree that the video is really forced and not sexy at all. To me she’s just another starlet – pretty, yes, but not stunning. I guess I’m really nitpicky, but her legs just don’t do it for me. They’re a little too short and cankle-y, I guess, and she doesn’t seem to have that great a WHR from the picture where she’s looking in the mirror. It’s funny that her reflection looks a lot less curvy than the real her standing in front of it.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with a woman wanting to feel or look as sexy as she wants. Why would it be degrading if she’s proud how she looks and doesn’t focus on the negatives. If she’s confident and wants to feel sexy, there’s nothing wrong with that. although she may have been voted the “sexiest” but there are more prettier faces in the world. sexy, but not most beautiful
