Michelle Trachtenberg’s Blue and Lacey Halloween Costume
November 2, 2009 in Michelle Trachtenberg by Versus

You asked for more crazy / funky / cool Halloween costumes (with celebs in them) and you’ve got them!
Selita rocked a devilicious outfit in the previous post, and here’s pretty girl Michelle in a Victorian costume at the Halloween 2033: Adult Playground Event Series at 1Oak in New York City yesterday.
How do you like her “historical” blue and lacey look?
1 more if you turn the page!

Well, she doesn’t look bottom heavy/thick legged as usual. I like!
Well, she doesn’t look bottom heavy/thick legged as usual. I like! Actually i’m willing to bet she’s lost weight.
Love it all minus the shoes.
She looks a bit little girly.. she isn’t really showing off any curves. She should’ve shoved some tissues down the top or got some artificial hips or something. Cos the dress just looks little kiddish.
Ditto the shoes Jemima.
it’s still “sexed up” but it’s much more CREATIVE than the other lingerie-like pieces and there really isn’t that much skin. Love the mask. I approve.
she has such a beautiful face.
the costume’s okay, but the shoes don’t seem to go at all.
is there fake blood around her neck and dripping down her chest? random?
She is supposed to be Marie Antoinette. Marie was executed by decapitation.
ohh okay. that makes perfect sense then.
i thought she was just a sort of generalized period piece.
Omgosh I wanted to get a costume like this for Halloween this year, with the wig and everything but I got lazy. Definetly motivation for next year!
Also, I like the costumes+celebrity matches I’ve been seeing on this website. It’s like the celebrities specifically chose the costumes that best fit their features and suit them the best.
Now this is a halloween costume. she looks cute, i totally get what she’s supposed to be, and more importantly…it’s a costume, not lingerie with a tail slapped on.
love it!
This is what I call a costume!
Yes! Waaay more creative than the lingerie “costumes”.
Very close to having a great costume. Except for the lower half… if only the costume makers could resist the urge to chop off the skirt! It would’ve been risque for Marie to even show her ankle! This would’ve looked cooler if she had gone for the full skirt, bustle, etc…
What was so sexy about this era was the fact that women showed their decollatage, and left the rest up to the imagination…
I totally agree, plus, she really should hide her ankles. I have cankles too and this costume gave her the opportunity to do it and look great but she chose (again) wearing unflattering shoes… AND WHITE STOCKING!!! huge nono for cankles!
georgette, that wasn’t Ellia’s point.
I personally agree with Ellia that it would’ve been much cooler and more subtly sexy if she had gone for something more authentic.
Oh and apart from that, I think she looks gorgeous! Beautiful face and I don’t see anything wrong with her legs.
I think you should pay special attention to the “plus” part of my comment. That means that I AM adding my own oppinion, not that i’m paraphrasing Ellia’s.
She looks great. And she’s not going for too sexy, and there’s a good bit of gore. Hallowe’en should be about SPOOKY costumes!
PS: This isn’t a “Victorian” costume; she’s dressed as Marie Antoinette, who died in the 18th century…!
I just mentioned what the photo agency said.
such an ugly girl!
