The website Moviefone.com decided the following:
1. Megan Fox is the sexiest female star of 2009 (Robert Pattinson is the hottest male).
2. Megan Fox is the worst actress of 2009.
Considering that she’s an actress and not a model (though she could be one!), I don’t think that the gain is greater than the loss. What do YOU think?
poor girl… I think she’s very very pretty… But she tries to hard… She could be more natural… And have some acting classes…
Acting classes won’t help really. I’m sure she’s taken them before as it’s something hollywood execs will make you do to salvage films. Her problem is a complete lack of sensitivity. It’s just “me me me me” when you see her in film. Contrast that with the greatest actress of the century (so named by many others) Meryl Streep. When you see Streep there is truly nothing of the woman’s ego left. She is the character. That is intelligence and sensitivity. Then again Streep was never known for being pretty so she had to be good at what she did.

Altough, there are beautiful women that are also good actress. I think the real problem with her is that she just don’t give a **** about being good at her job, she know she’s gonna get some of them just because of her beauty.

Depends on her goals as an actress
If she won’t to be a serious actress then yes she should reconsider her career.
But if she wants fame,money and all the other perks then she’s doing fine in her chosen vocation.
he was kidding… and he’s said so in later interviews that he was kidding and people actually took him seriously. and what else could megan do besides acting? being a musician, unlikely. and as for modeling, yes she’s very beautiful, but she doesn’t look like a model.
I think Megan Fox is beautiful and deserves her title. As for Robert Pattinson, I had to look him up…he’s not even remotely attractive.

I do like that her personality is a little eccentric, but I think she tries to come accross that way in interviews.
I did look it up – I do not think she has had plastic surgery. The photos declaring “before and after” just showed her at different angles where of course she looked different. The nose job pictures just showed one picture where she wasn’t smiling next to one where she was. When you smile your face stretches out a bit, therefore your nose looks bigger. And the pictures where it said she had a boob job just show her not wearing a bra, standing next to a picture where shes obviously in a push up and padded bra. We should know by now that bras can work miracles. I am not singling your post out I was just a little startled about how many people just went “oh shes plastic she doesn’t count” and your post said to look it up.

You shouldn’t go by a few gossip sites to make it look like the celebs have had boob jobs are butt implants. I am a photography so i know how it all works. That is not to say that they do get it right about celebs sometimes.

You can say what you want about Megan Fox, but the girl did not have plastic surgery.
I don’t mean to argue. I see your view. I am not saying I know for sure. It’s possible they are real, but I just feel the boobs in the naked pic you posted above are full and perky, but in the pic I posted with her wearing no bra, her boobs look deflated, flat, etc. I don’t see the same chest.

I take this stuff personally because I was accused of having a nose job (even though I hadn’t – even if I wanted one, I couldn’t afford it) when in reality my face shape changed because I got older (my face was rounder when I was 13-14 and now at 17 it’s a lot sharper). It hurt my feelings when people said stuff that wasn’t true.
Even though I do not especially like Megan Fox I felt the need to defend her on that part.
I think you need to stop investing your personal feelings into what other people think of Megan Fox.

Girls really … true she got some plastic surgery which enhanched her looks but she was already beautiful before hand.
I have to admit I truely hated her at first but she kind of grew on me and I understand some of the things she says. Plus she’s honest – you can’t say that about a lot of hollywood stars can you ?
As for the women who say she is ugly – Is it really her looks or is it more her charisma that you find unatrractive ? Because I have to admit she is stunning ! Even though being a bit more ladylike would’nt hurt her.
On her acting – it’s not as if she had some nummerous occasions to prove herself as an actress. She always got casted as the gorgeous sidekick. I wouldnt write her off yet , we haven’t seen her whole potential.

Everyone is so quick to hate on her- mainly because she’s “fake” or she can’t act.
Nearly everyone in Hollywood has had surgery of some sort, yet people worship them.. ie: The precious Angelina Jolie and she isn’t any more talented than this girl. Jennifer Aniston is another example.
That’s what I thought, till she starred in Jennifer’s Body where she had one of the lead roles. It made me wish for movies where she was just the beautiful side kick.
Thats true – that was one hell of an unfortunate film. But I was thinking more along the lines of a totally natural romantic movie or something with emotional depth …. not some gore horror flick ^^.
But your definatley right about Jennifers Body, although I have to say it wasn’t just Megan who sucked but the movie on the whole.

The Wal-Mart Angelina Joile. Cheapness in looks, Cheapness of thought…Of course Americans would love her. I think she’s overrated and her silly open-mouth pose makes her look like she’s going to drool.
I think she is pretty – but not beautiful. Her personality just isn’t that great. You could argue that none of us personally know her so we can’t judge – but by listening to the things shes said shes made it clear that she only has looks, not personality. Yes there are worse actresses out there, but Megan Fox is one of those terrible actresses who stars again and again in big budget movies. And anyone who argues that she is a good actress NEEDS to see Jennifer’s Body. The whole role screamed “I only got this job cause I’m hot”. A woman like Audrey Hepburn is truly beautiful because she has looks and personality backing her up.
You know what, she is one of the sexiest actresses nowadays but I don’t agree with the second title. There are plenty of worse actresses, and yes, I am talking about the A list.
I think people just expect her to be stupid because she is pretty and look for things that confirm that. Combine that with interviews taken out of context, and movie roles that are supposed to portray her as a dumb pretty girl, well, there you go.
I’d rather be pretty than having a good acting talent. Honestly, it’s not a very difficult skill to have, seeing as how most of Hollywood lacks it. There are only some who are actually talented (like someone said, Meryl Streep), and they are few and far between.

I mean, take Jessica Alba – I love her and to me she is one of the most gorgeous women out there, but I mean her acting sucks, she is not convincing at all. And I definitely agree with you about people looking for reasons to call Megan stupid, it’s because she is a pretty girl and pretty girls have it a lot tougher when it comes to what other females think of them.
And about plastic surgery, I for one DO NOT think Megan has had surgery. I have seen pictures of her in high school and she looks the same except younger. And boob implants? It’s a joke, her boobs like the same as always, it’s ridiculous.

Quite honestly I can’t agree with the “rather be pretty than have talent”.
If you so desperatly want to be pretty then save some money and get plastic surgery for all its worth. You can change a lot about an unattractive face or body. But talent – well you are eirter born with it or you are not – you can change absolutley nothing about it.
I would choose my talent for arts over a perfectly beautiful face every day. For me it’s worth far more than good looks. And just so you now talent can get you plenty jobs – my employers don’t hire me because I’m pretty but because of my creativity .
You cannot be born with knowledge of human systems. Art is a human activity. Talent is not something anyone is just born with. It takes years to develop. The “born with it” clause is just an excuse for lazy people who refuse to put the effort required into things to gain knowledge. And no plastic surgery isn’t going to fix people. You have to be coming to the table with something decent to begin with.
Oh as for talent, I would like to add if I haven’t already that I meant specifically acting talent. To me, the ability to act is worthless. Anyone who is not camera shy could act. There are very few people who are truly “talented” in it but even then, like I said, I don’t value it.
To me talent is something that requires effort and time to be learned, like a very complicated dancing style, gymnastics, or the intelligence required to cure cancer. In those cases, for me, talent wins over beauty. But I would pretty much choose anything over the ability to act.
Maybe they get paid more and have more job options because there is more pressure to prove they are not airheaded bimbos who rely on their good looks to get by, therefore they study and work harder? Maybe they have better relationships because they had to trawl through all the jerks who only wanted them for their looks to realise what makes a good relationship? Just because a study shows that ‘pretty’ people (something which is very subjective) get this and that, it doesn’t mean it was simply handed to them on a silver platter. Also, just because they have X it doesn’t mean their life is perfect or better than anyone else’s. Good looks doesn’t save anyone from awful life experiences, nor is it an excuse for anyone to justify cutting them down based on appearance (i.e. They have better lives because they have better looks, so it’s okay to attack them and give them a taste of the ‘real world’).
You are making assumptions. I said nothing about why i thought that was but since you bring it up let me tell you why-Humans are simply animals. They are not above their animal impulses and most of the time a driven solely by them. They see something good looking and they assume it’s good. It’s just the nature of things. I can even predict what most people will find attractive as there are simple correlates that correspond to attractiveness to others. Personality has little to do with it (beyond smiling all the time).

I agree with Ella. Talent is worth FAR more to me than good looks. How shallow. I’d rather be known for how well I can do something than how ‘pretty’ I am; I’d rather have substance. You’re also right in saying that good looks don’t save ANYone from bad experiences.
ann, I agree with you regarding human impulses and beauty. It’s been proven time and time again that humans prefer symmetrical faces, with “average” facial features. Even newborn babies will stare at beautiful faces more than average or ugly faces.
But when it comes down to it, the only advantages that beautiful people have is an expanded social network.
As for everything else…reported quality of life, rates of depression, divorce…they all tend to equal that of the unattractive person.
So that advantage that beautiful people have seems to be highly limited. An ugly person who was born to be very outgoing could essentially have the same advantage as a beautiful person, so this status is not restricted for beautiful people only.

Except in many fields that can be the difference between success and failure. We live in a very visually oriented culture. Perhaps 100 years ago talent would trump good looks but today’s TV society demands good looks.
I would like to see these studies or research. I would like to know if the one you mentioned (about them having better pay, better job opportunities and better relationships) has validity and reliability or not.

I never said you said anything about why you thought that was, but if you had considered that they worked extra hard to prove negative stereotypes about them wrong and that they had countless relationships where partners only wanted them for their looks, why would you act as if it is ridiculous to pity them at all? If you had thought of it you might be of the opinion that they have disadvantages as well as advantages, just like every other person in the world.
They look at something good and assume it is good? Have you never heard of the stereotype that beautiful women are dumb? What about the one that beautiful women are sluts? That they are the b*tchy popular girls in school who bully everyone else? What about that they are gold-diggers? What about that the pretty girls in school only get good grades because they sell their bodies to the teachers? That they’ll do anything to steal your boyfriend/husband? That the beautiful and sexy woman is an evil, treacherous temptress who will snare you in and then betray you? My point is that there are negative stereotypes as well as positive ones and there are plenty of people who believe in them. There are people who like to believe that, not only do attractive people have perfect lives, but they are also evil and do not deserve good things so they should be punished.

How about raped as a child? Does that give me a right to complain, or do I have no right because I have a ‘big chip to play with’ if I’ve got an attractive face? People should have the right to freedom of speech regardless of appearance. Some say attractive people born into those situations are rare, but I do not know of any magical system that enables all attractive people only to be born into functional, happy, caring families with enough money to live comfortably and give that person the best education.
If pretty people have it easier in life because others treat them better wouldn’t you avoid arguing if you think I could be attractive? Yet you are arguing, and you’ve even told me to ‘shut up’ and ‘quit whining’ because I might be one of those privileged pretty people who live on planet paradise. I wonder how many people out there have read these studies and have concluded they should no longer allow attractive people to have such an advantage and instead do the OPPOSITE? Treat them terribly, avoid employing them or helping them in any way because ‘Oh, their lives are probably perfect already since they have good looks to get by’? Yet, when I look at the Forbes list of the richest and most powerful people, it isn’t full of Brad and Angelina clones.
I know people whose good looks have worked against them. e.g. a female employer wanted to be with a good-looking employee but he is already in a serious relationship. She made his work life hell as a result and it was very easy to convince all the other higher-ups to join in. Maybe because those men who viewed themselves as less attractive than him were more than happy to eliminate the good-looking guy who probably already had an easy, perfect life. He’s not a mean guy either: he’s kind and friendly to everyone and worked hard to get to where he was. It is certainly not rare that those of the opposite sex suddenly hate the attractive person because they cannot have them and that those of the same sex want to get rid of the attractive person because they are competition for partners or they believe the stereotype that attractive people have it easy so it is somehow ‘less cruel’ to act negatively towards an attractive person than it is to an average or unattractive person.
That’s all I have to say. You can either accept that this goes much deeper than a bunch of statistics and correlation (correlation does not always imply causation, anyway. i.e. increased beauty and increased success does not always mean that they are connected, just as increased ice-cream sales and increased drowning doesn’t mean that ice-cream causes drowning, but that summer leads to more desire for ice-cream and more swimming)… or you can brush it all off, ignore and deny it.

Not all women are comfortable accepting what nature gave them. If they decide they want to do something about it, all the power to them. I don’t know if Megan has had plastic surgery or not, all the “proof” has been pretty silly so far, but if she has, then her plastic surgeon is amazing.
And until we’re all walking around naked, makeup-less, hairy as god knows what, then we’re all being somewhat deceptive about what we truly look like.

She definitly had plastic surgery! I’m not sure about breast implants, but she had a nosejob and her lips enhanced. In Transformers she just looked average and suddenly in Transformers 2 she was really beautiful.
They changed her makeup in T2. You can see she is wearing a lot of lip plumper. When she is not wearing the makeup her lips are back to normal. Makeup can go a long way.
Those accusations came before Transformers 2.

Megan probably has it rougher than other actresses because she is indeed very physically appealing. Kind of like a less elegant and less talented version of the gorgeous Jennifer Connoly. But Megan’s downfall is also that she has an insensitive, potty mouth. She’s a complainer, sounds very ignorant and inflexible when she speaks about her opinions or opinions of others, and whatnot. Honesty is speaking the truth without embellishment. She just seems to have little tact a lot, and it’s a shame. What makes a pretty girl is just physical. What makes a beautiful woman is a combo between beauty and personality.

She’s alright but considering all the plastic surgery she’s had, that means any average girl can get plastic surgery and be hot with a good plastic surgeon. Seen her close up and before surgery and she ain’t that great. I’ve seen better looking girls without nose jobs, boob jobs and lip injections. Terrible actress too.
