When asked about her ways of getting in shape for the Golden Globes, Megan said:
“Well, I do have a 22 inch waist, I will say that. But, I basically starve myself for a month. I’m kidding, I did a lot of pilates. An immense amount of pilates.”
She is lying. Nicole Richie may have a 22 inch waist, but not her.
She was actually kidding about this, I saw it on TV and you could totally tell she was joking.

i’m 18, yrs old, adult height; 5’4” and half an inch more and my waist is 25 inches; my measurements are 29 inches below my breasts, 25 waist, 34 around my lower waist (i.e. where the low waisted band of a jeans would sit) and 36-37 around my but. I am a size 26 jeans, small shirts, and weigh a very healthy weight of 125 lb. Why would you say that 25 inches is a child’s size?
Also yes her waist is 22-23 inches because her body looks exactly like my friends body in pictures. My friend is 110 lb, and has a 22-23 inch waist, she’s very healthy and looks very good. She wears size 25 or 26 jeans.
So judging that megan fox is reportedly aprox 5’4 or 5’5 and looks like my friend, yes her waist is 22 inches. Which though uncommon, is perfectly healthy for a woman of such an average woman’s height. Just because some women gorge themselves on junk food resulting in size 30 or bigger waists does not mean that that is normal or healthy.
A 30-inch waist isn’t big and doesn’t require “gorging” on junk food. A 35- or 40-inch, waist, yes, that’s almost certainly unhealthy, but I have a 29-31 inch waist naturally. I’m just curvy for my height, not fat.
alright so i have to say something. i am 5’5″ 125 lbs, measure 28 under my boobs, 21 in waist and not sure about the rest bc i can’t ind my measuring tape right now but the only time my waist was even close to 40 was when i was 1 week to my pregnancy due date and then it was 42 inches lol, so for all the megan fox haters out there it is entirely possible her waist is that size =]

I’m 31 inches and I’m clinically the perfect weight, when I was suffering from an eating disorder and 110 pounds (for 5’5″) I was only 2-3 inches under a 30 inch waist, it really depends on your bone structure, I have a naturally larger bone structure. Just because you have a mutant waist size doesn’t mean you can be an idiot and make presumptions about people based on a NORMAL waist size. 5’5 and 30 inch waist, and a normal, healthy, fit body? Either you have a larger than normal waist (masculine) or youre full of crap. Seeing as you’re sensationalizing your “eating disorder” by claiming to have once weighed 110 lbs, which by the way is still in the healthy, albeit lower, end of the weight spectrum, I would say youre probably pushing the weight limit to being overweight, and probably have an americanized version of healthy weight, ie: vanity sizing and arguing that a 5’5 frame should weigh near 140, thus justifying your own chubby body as.perfect.

I know some people who really do have 22 inch waists. They are also very PETITE (as in short), meaning their entire frame is smaller overall and comes with a tinier waist. It looks rather normal on a petite woman, but on someone much taller I would expect it to look very different.

you could easily weigh 117 and have a 22 inch waist. i’m a personal trainer and it isn’t uncommon at all in athletic/ physically fit women. you can be super slim and if you happen to have more lean body mass (muscle) than you do fat, you will weigh more than an equally slim person with higher body fat and less muscle. muscle weights more than fat, and i guarantee that she is at least more toned than the average american woman. 5 pounds of muscle is also only the size of 2 small tangerines, while 5 pounds of fat is the size of 3 large grapefruits.she’s in great shape.

Remember that runway models are usually 5’10″ and she is only 5’5″. A shorter height means her measurements are closer together and her body wouldn’t look as thin as theirs even if she was (I don’t know if she is or not).

my grand mother was 5’4 and had a 19 inch waist in the 50′s and dident use a cincher and dident have a disorder. Yes people its possible for woman who don’t stuff there face for no reason and have the appropriate amount of estrogen to produce a waist that small. I understand its hard to imagine because the majority of the northern American population is overweight or obese. but yes just by looking at her and understanding in her height you can tell her waist likely is 22-23 inchs

The problem is that people are so critical of themselves, and everyone wants the perfect body. There are people with 20 in waists, but usually they are very, very thin and they can’t help it. I have a friend who eats everything in her house and still maintains a really skinny figure. It has to do with genetics, and also, I’ve noticed, with were your family originated. Many African woman gain weight easier than average because in Africa there would be famines and they would need to hold onto all the fat they can to stay live. I guess it all comes down to an extremely complex mix of things. People should stop hating themselves and think they are beautiful

It’s funny because 22 inches is like 56 cm. The funny thing is that I have been measuring Britney’s thighs (well, not like I have been putting the measuring tape around her thigh) but I have been trying my very best to measure her thighs by looking at photos of them and compare with other things on the photos. It could be her length, it could be something she holds in her hand. And I have been very careful (yes, I am serious about this, I just needed to know :0) so I am pretty sure I have a pretty accurate measurement. I would say that Britney has 56 cm around the biggest part of one of her thighs. It might be 0,5 cm more or less I think but no more than that.
So that would mean if Megan’s waist is 56 cm, it is exactly as big as one of Britney’s thighs. So, do you find that possible, now that you know this? That she has a 56-cm-waist.
I think it’s totally possible. My waist is 60 cm and so are my thighs! I am a very obvious pear shape, by the way and I know many girls that are the same. Waist and thighs can be identical. And given the fact that Megan is thinner than Britney, it’s totally possible.

It’s really hard, so I’m just gonna estimate… Shakira must have around 55-57 because I actually noticed when I saw her in a concert that her waist was probably as big as her thighs, if not smaller. And Nelly has pretty thick thighs (in a good way though), but her weight goes up and down. At her heaviest, they’re over 60 cm.

I don’t think she has a 22in waist. With a cincher possibly but without that’s not possible. I know one person with a 22in waists and shes 5 foot weighing barely a hundred lbs. I’m also a design student and my smallest model had a 25in waist.
There’s no way she has a 22 inch waist. Mine is 20 inches naturally (I have a very extreme hourglass shape) and looks at least 4 or 5 inches smaller than hers. I’d say maybe 24.
lol, no she doesn’t have a 22 inch waist. my waist is smaller than hers and is 22 1/2 inches on a large day. my entire bone structure is smaller. im sure she has a 24 inch waist when shes in good shape and maybe even as small as 23 1/2, but her magazine pics get airbrushed. compare them to pictures that are taken outside of photoshoots and her body looks a lot different. some of her (not airbrushed) photos look more like 25 inches. im not saying she isnt pretty or in good shape, but shes not being completely honest about her measurements.

According to most sites/biographies, her height is listed as 5’6″, her weight as 114 to 115 lbs., and her measurements as 34c-26-24(sometimes her waist has been given as 24). Her boobs may be a 34c, and her waist is probably anywhere from a 24 to a 26. No way are her hips 24″. Also many people that have met her in person say that she is actually much shorter but that she wears like 4″ heels most of the time. Like most celebrities she (and/or her PR people) can say any size they want. It’s not like they ever tell the truth about such matters(like saying her boobs are real-yeah right, and so are Britney Spears’ and Cristina Aguillaras’). Let’s face it with today’s technology they can airbrush a celebrity to look any way they want. And I doubt many celebrities are going to go on Oprah or Etertainment Tonight and step on the scale and get measured to prove that they are telling the truth. That just is not done in the entertainment business. Like Kirstie Alley claiming at her heaviest that she was around 200lbs. Yeah, and I’m as rich as Oprah and Bill Gates combined! Whatever Megans’ height/measurements really are, it looks good on HER.

A 22″ waist is FAR from impossible (I have friends who are naturally that small) but Megan is just another Hollywood actress whose measurements are lied about in the same way as their ages. She’s hardly a defined hourglass.
Dita von Teese is slightly taller and genuinely does have a 22″ waist, and her waist looks much, much smaller from every angle (even without a corset). The picture of Megan in a corset (from which I linked) looks to be a 20″ corset AT THE VERY SMALLEST; it’s more likely to be 21-22″.

Megan is not really an hourglass, but she certainly has nice curves.
A true hourglass doesn’t have silicon (for starters), and at most there is a one inch difference between the hips and bust. Her boobs are a 34C (bust 36) and hips 34.

Its true – as of 2008 I believe the new average male height is 5’10 and female height is 5’5″. Its gone up about an inch for each.

Her waist looks small in a corset, because she is using a tightlace corset. those type of corsets are designed to make the wait appear super thin even if the woman has an average sized waist. dont believe me? seacrh tightlace corset in google and youll find people with 16inch waists in those pictures, thus making an average sized person VERY thin looking.

I believe megan could have a 22 inch waist. I’m 5’7, 135 pounds, and i measure a natural hourglass of 36/23/36. yes, peoples thighs can be as big as their waists. Mine are a solid 21 inches.
She does not have a 22 inch waist. Maybe if she pulls the tape measure around her waist as tight as she can, but that is not how you measure. I am 5’3, an ninety five pounds and my waist is 23.5. Everyone tells me I need to gain weight, and I agree, and when I buy my double zeros, I have to have them taken in at the waist. Almost every star and model lies about their measurements. I have worked with many models in photoshoots and there waists are almost always two inches larger than they say in their portfolios. Additionally, every publication is photoshopped. Don’t believe anything but the candid pictures, and sometimes even they are photoshopped.

Jealous? First of all, I’ve seen the photographs of her, and she is an attractive girl, thin enough, but not shockingly thin. I have worked in tailoring and with REAL runway models, who are much skinnier than celebrities, even more thin in real life, and they have waists between 23 and 25 inches. They are also 5’10″, you can see their ribs, and there are about three or four inches between their thighs. I also very much doubt that you have a 22 inch waist. It comes down to waist size. I have a BMI of 16, and my waist is 23″, and I have to have my bras altered because my rib cage is too small. Also, thin women that claim that don’t watch what they eat are either a.) lying, or b.) have a tapeworm or cancer. We watch what we eat. Excercise and metabolism only have a limited amount of control on weight. Metabolisms do not very more than a few hundred calories amongst women of the same age group/height. Stop trying to make the fat girls jealous with unrealistic expectations. And fat girls, stop blaming it on a slow metabolism. Another note. When you read about these vintage sized waists like that of Brigitte Bardot and Audrey Hepburne, they are Corsetted sizes. That is not what their waist size was if you measured it without a corsette. I can’t even believe you guys buy into this.
Sorry, I meant to say, It comes down to “ribcage size”. Unless you are wearing a 28″ bra, you do not have a 22″ waist. They don’t make 28″, and it very difficult to even find a 30″ bra. The waist is right under the rib cage. That is what determines a small or wide waist.
One more thing. One person used the word “curvy” to describe themselves, saying that they were just “curvy”, not “fat”. The two have nothing to do with one another. Curvy means the waist is significantly smaller than the hips, full breasts, etc. A thick waist, fat arms, big fat flat ass, cankles, thighs that blend into the calfs, hiding the definition of the knee, and cottage cheese, are not aspects of a curvy body. Call a spade a spade. If you are do not believe you are quite yet fat, use the word “chubby”, but save “curvy” and “voluptuous” for the women who are curvy and voluptuous. Give these words back their real meanings.
OMG! You ladies (and gentlemen?) need to cool down! Every woman has something beautiful about them, whether they have a 20 inch waist or a 50 inch one! Yes there is healthy, but that is definitely relative to your bone structure. Let me give you my own measurements since none of you are bold enough to deal with a big girl, or act like grown up, big girls for that matter.
I Have a 50 inch bust (40 inch bra size) and a 43 INCH WAIST! OK. I know that isn’t healthy, and that i’m carrying extra weight, but that isn’t the end of the world. The point is, I am happy as a person and have a man that thinks I’m a 10. (And he’s not the only one) I’ve struggled with eating disorders of all types. I’ve been 50 pounds thinner, but even then, because of my bone structure, which includes an opera singer’s rib cage, my waist couldn’t have been less than 30 inches, but probably more around 35, and I was considered well within the healthy weight. Yes. I would like to loose weight for health reasons, but I’m not concerned about loosing more than 30 pounds because, guess what, I have a life! And I love being who I am and I feel sexy no matter what. And when you feel sexy, people think of you as sexy.
It is great that you are happy with your weight and not in denial about the unhealthy state of your current body. I’m glad that you can call a spade a spade. I wish more people were capable of that. However, I disagree with the comment, “When you feel sexy, other people think you are sexy.” Confidence helps you carry youself in a more sexy fashion: smiling, standing up straight, shoulders back. However more than anything, you THINK that others think you are sexy. It is nobody’s business what other people think, and it does not really matter, because we all have our own reality.

Why do people keep comparing themselves to her, its possible to be the same height n weigh the same as her and have different proportions u know it depends on whether u exercise and where u carry most of ur weight, just be happy for her thats quite an achievement cuz in the end u can criticize on here all u want she’s still gonna be the one with camaras following her in admiration

I have around 21-inch waist and Megan’s height (around 5’3 1/2 or 5’4) but my weight is around 90 lbs. Megan could have 22-inch waist if she lost 20 lbs. With her average weight (around 110 lbs), you are right to guess she has around 24 or 25 inches. She was honest when she said she could have that tiny waist when she starved herself for a month. That is truth in the joke.
