Emma Stone Continues Her ‘Makeover’

Some while ago, we noticed that actress Emma Stone had lost weight. Since then, Emma also transitioned to a much lighter hair color and a darker skin color, in addition to losing even more pounds.

I don’t think she’s lost weight. She has always been very slim.

I think she lost a lot of weight, actually. I’ve been watching her in a lot of movies, they are more accurate than the pictures. She looked slightly chubby (for hollywood) in The House Bunny and definitely very thin in her latest roles. I would say it’s like a 25 pound weight loss based on her movies. Just look at how she’s lost the roundness of her face!

LOL That whole film strip is stretched out vertically. It’s all distorted – Jonah Hill doesn’t even look fat! Anyway, she’s definitely thinner now than she was in Superbad. Definitely.

I didn’t even realize this was Emma Stone! I really really hate this make over. I mean she doesn’t strike me as too skinny (yet) but I def. prefer her as a red hair. I think the blonde just washes her face out. I know she’s a natural blonde but the red hair made her stand out. Now she looks just like every other 20 something in hollywood. She’s not as interesting or unique.
Maybe after Spiderman wraps she’ll go back to a darker shade. *fingers crossed*

This makes me sad. I won’t lie, she’s pretty in the “after,” but she’s also generic. Unrecognizable, whereas before I could pick her out right away. I’m still not sure it’s the same girl, especially in the last pic!!

She looks great both ways actually. I will admit that she looks hot with the tan, blonde hair, skinny bod. That being said, it makes her look rather generic. Her original appearance was more unique and went well with the characters she has played. If she wants to look hot and get on magazines she can continue with the blonde look. If she wants to stand out and play clever, quirky roles then I say go back to red and pale. The choice is hers.

I think her new look is great. It’s even better if she changed her hair color, lost weight etc. for herself. If she did it to fit into hollywood standards or any other reason like that then, not so great.

I also like her old edgier look, but I think she looks good and not too too drastically different body-wise. At one point I read that she’s a natural blonde and dyed her hair partly to make her stand out more from the crowd, so at least her blondening is going back to natural.
I much prefer her pale, red-headed look. She’s a natural blond but that look really suits her and also sets her apart from the rest of the Hollywood blonds. The tan also makes her look older.

I’m blonde naturally. I suppose i’m just another generic person? she’s naturally blonde as well, fyi. just because some one has red hair doesn’t automatically make them ‘red hot.’ i’m pretty sure personality has something to do with that. so judgmental.
I’m blond and I don’t take offense. It’s just that there are so many blond and tan ppl in Hollywood that she doesn’t really seem the actor that ppl can relate to anymore…sooo disappointing! She looks like so many other actors and models now.
I totally agree she’s become the Hollywood genetic blonde starlet. Shame because the way she looked before really made her stand out as an amazingly talented actress and I just love her husky voice. This is the actress Lindsay Lohan should have been.

Don’t take offense to it. As a light brunette, I don’t think blondes are generic at all. In fact, when I see a natural blonde I usually think “Wow!” I would love to have light and silky locks but unfortunatly I was also born with black eyebrows and eyelashes (I know, weird), so unless I bleach them (which I won’t) I can’t be a good blonde.
I think when people say blondes are generic, they are referring to the common bottle blonde that you see in Hollywood…I don’t think it’s even so much about the hair color as it is about the overall style.
The “generic” label probably comes from the fact that less than 20% of the blondes in the U.S. are actually blonde. It’s rather common to dye the hair blonde, get a fake tan and lose lots of weight. It is especially true in Hollywood.
I prefer brunette hair color but I think most natural blondes are attractive. I do not care for bottle blondes because I prefer a more natural look.

Personally, I prefer her with darker hair, but Gwen Stacy is a blonde, so I understand the change. It’s weird that her natural hair color is blonde, because I think the auburn/red color suits her a lot better.
In terms of weight, I think she looks great! I certainly don’t think she lost too much weight and the more slender physique seems to suit her. Some one else will have to help me out with her body shape, ’cause I suck at telling what people are, but she seems to carry a good amount of weight in her hips and legs (like me!), and the 20-30 pounds — I’m guessing — that she lost really makes her look very sleek and proportionate.
The tan, on the other hand, I’m not loving. Her natural skin color is more creamy-looking and fresh.

Ok a) the hair is for the new spiderman movie [in which she plays a BLONDE. apparently it was said that she dyed it which was easier than wearing a wig]. So who cares about that? If it’s for a role then that’s her business.
B) i dont think she has lost as much weight as everyone thinks. yes, she looks thinner. does she look a la Nicole Richie a few years back? NO! She doesn’t look like a rail! She was chubbier before in her other movies, like The House Bunny, or at a comfortable weight. She has probably been working out obviously enough, possibly for the movie [which is action...duh], so why put that down? Working out is a good thing! People, to me, would just simply want to see her back at the old weight because it makes them feel good. The moment a celeb hits the gym, looses some weight, people freak & accuse them of ‘getting too thin.’ There is no crime in working out & improving one’s body. More power to her.
The spray tan also probably makes her look thinner than she might be. Pale skin doesn’t look as ‘slenderized’ as tanned skin, which is why so many do it. So that is most likely what is contributing to the effect.
She isn’t in scary skinny territory, so don’t rag on the girl.
Hear hear. Her body is exactly how I’d like mine to be (which it can be, but it takes work lol) because it seems slim but not yuckily so. Toned, but not Annalyne sinewy.
I hate the type of pressure that is being put on perfectly gorgeous actresses to turn them into “a package” so they can land more roles.

It’s for her role as Gwen Stacey in spiderman… plus she’s actually a natural blonde and only went redhead so that she could get more roles- she said that when she first started as an actress and a natural blonde she couldn’t get hired because it was too common.

It’s clear very few woman are even naturally blonde – most are that gross, fried, “burnt my scalp with peroxide to get this pale color” – type.
If you’re going off of AOL for your statistics, you may want to rethink your sources. For every bs “study” you read on the internet saying that it’s proven men like brunettes more, there is another study on the internet saying men like blondes more.
Your naming of celebrities who are brunettes has nothing to do with the credibility of the “study” you mentioned. I can name 4 attractive blonde celebrities right now, if you’d like. Carrie Underwood, Scarlett Jo, Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon. I could go on all day.
The bottom line is, you can’t rely on studies to speak for all mens tastes- especially studies that you read in passing on the internet. It’s like believing in the whole “men like curvy women better” shtick. Clearly, that is not the case for every male. Men like different things. Men like brunettes. Men like redheads. And guess what? Men like blondes. So to say that men like brunettes and redheads the “best” is not only a lie, but a grossly untrue lie at that. You can’t pinpoint every guys taste and try to make generalizations.
And further more, I AM a natural blonde. And guess what? I get just as much attention, if not more in some cases, from guys as any of my non-blonde friends.

I thought she looked beautiful at the Critics Choice Awards. I did think it looked like she lost some weight. Maybe it was the hair or maybe because she’s been training for the movie. I love her red hair. I like the tan, too, though.

Good Lord people, read the comments before you reply. As many other posters have pointed out the blonde hair is for SPIDERMAN. She did not choose to dye it, she had to for the role. Actresses do this all the time and I see nothing wrong with it! I’m betting the spray tan is also for the movie just like the spray tan she had in Zombieland. I think she’s a beautiful girl either way. Don’t count on the red coming back anytime soon. She told Leno that she will probably have to keep it for at least a couple years as there apparently are a “few” more Spiderman movies in the works. Also, there is NO WAY she has lost 20-30lbs! She is tall and thin and always has been. I have a similar body type and you’d be surprised how losing as little as 5 lbs can make a tall thin person look drastically different. If she lost 30 lbs she’d look like a skeleton, which she doesn’t. This girl is not going to be like Lindsay Lohan. She has her act together and is very down to Earth and sweet in interviews. I think she’s going to have a very long, successful career.

I think the phrase, “giving in to Hollywood pressure,” gets thrown around so much these I’m not sure what it means anymore, and I’m not sure what the pressure is because there’s lots of different pressures that Hollywood can be responsible for. Honestly, even in Hollywood, the fake blonde hair/tan/thin look is only one of many.

she doesn’t look quite as dark in this picture and i think part of the reason why she looks so different is because her mouth is neutral and she’s not smiling w/ her teeth.

I’ve got excellent facial recognition, I can easily recognize a person who’s changed through age, surgery and the works (which makes me a little annoying when watching, for example, a movie; “That’s the guy from the bar scene in that series from the 80′s!”), and I didn’t recognize her at all until I saw the name. I was stunned.
She’s lost weight, dyed her hair back to blonde (although probably a different tone), tanned and plumped her lips. Apart from everything else mentioned, her lips are obvious to me, especially since she makes that “I-just-got-my-lips-plumped-and-I’m-not-used-to-it-yet” smile.
I think the reason why such common changes made such a radical change in her case, was because she, in a way, changed her entire physical appearance and presentation. She changed her body shape, the shape of her face, the shape of her lips, the tone of her skin, the color of her hair, her hair style, make-up style, general style, pose, body language and posture. That makes a whole other being – physically. The entire impression is different, ergo; I didn’t recognize her at all at first.
I don’t know what I feel or think about it. I’ve always liked her personality wise, she seems very intelligent, levelheaded, cool, empathetic and aware. Just an all around great person, and albeit I find her more physically attractive like this, I think I liked it more when I could actually point her out from a crowd of Hollywood starlets.
But I can’t blame her for “giving in” to the extreme pressure (minus the blonde hair for the movie), although I wish she would have the strength to stand it. But nobody seems to manage to do so, so how could I expect that from her? The psychological pressure in Hollywood is enormous, it’s impossible not to be affected in some way or the other, no matter your strength or intelligence. And if the norm is “if you can get closer to perfection, why settle for less?”, then that’s exactly what you start to think, why settle for anything less?

With any luck after the Spiderman movies, she will cool it with the tanning/weight loss/hair dye.

Hopefully she doesn’t choose to keep it after the movie is done, because I really like her paler, a little more weight, and red haired. On her, her previous look was just a lot more seductive. On some other people the tan and blone look can be more seductive but she really rocks the whole red head look.

why do people always feel the need to get a fake tan because they’re blonde? The prettiest blonde I know is Cassie from Skins (Hannah Murray), and she’s pale as a ghost. It’s okay if she wants to loose weight and go back to her natural hair color, but that combo of weight loss+fake tan+blonde hair makes it look like she’s trying too hard… And makes her look older. And a little fake.
That being said, I LOVE that girl! She’s so gorgeous and hilarious. I just don’t want to see her become the next Lindsay Lohan.
Why are people comparing her to Lindsey? She is no where near that stage or close. She’s fine and healthy. But I prefer the red hair on her.

Two points to drive home here:
1.) You don’t “dye” hair blonde anymore than you “walk” in a marathon.
2.) People really need to stop misusing the word “curvy” to convey “extra pounds.” Curves are about shape – not size or girth.

When I was scrolling past the pictures, I thought she looked like Kate Bosworth too. Not a terrible thing obviously, but I like her without the mega-tan better.

I think she fluctuates a few lbs and now she is maintaining her slim figure by eating right. I always think I look slimmer and toned with tanner skin so the tan adds dimensions as well.
So it’s for a role. Big deal. I’m not crazy about this look. Even though she’s a natural blonde, I actually like the red and pale contrast on her. She’s stunning.

Terrible tan. Her “makeover” is a make under for sure. I think she looks better pale and red haired…and with a little more meat on her bones. She’s a beautiful funny girl, and needs to realize what made her interesting before was her un-hollywood look.

i mean i can see if people wont agree because im sure people like her as being that red head (brunette? :S) on easy A but i dont know why but something here makes her pretty. maybe its because shes not smiling so big? not saying thats a bad thing but something in her mouth when she smiles makes her less pretty in my eyes but somehow cuter. haha.

Makeunder in my opinion. I usually prefer really skinny bodies but I like Emma with more weight. I know it’s for a role but I think she looks like a Real Housewife. She looked very nice in Superbad.
Trying not to be as harsh as I think, I’ll just put it this way . . . Ohhhhh boyyyyy.
Her weight looks great either way. I mean, it’s nice to see a fuller figure on camera, but I think she looks fantastic slim. Very enviable.
And I don’t like to criticize people for returning to their natural hair color, but I really preferred the red.
Her skin however, ugh. It really doesn’t look nice, IMO, and that’s definitely not an “I just came back from the islands!” tan. Fake tanning has a very distinct color, and this is certainly it. The tan even distorts her face, I think. I mean, she looks like an entirely different person.
Let’s just hope this is for a movie role, or something. I’ve always absolutely loved her.

This is really upsetting! She was so beautiful before, because she was curvy and had porcelain skin and gorgeous red hair. She was different. I think she still looks beautiful here, but so generic now. Like, this could be any Hollywood celeb. Tan skin, blond hair, skinny…like, she could be anyone. She’s not Emma Stone anymore.
Everytime I see that new picture, I think it’s Lindsay Lohan. Takes me a second to realise it’s actually someone else!

usually i hate spray tans and fake blonde hair but i would be lying and if i said she looked ugly with her new makeover. However she should try to go back to red it may look better. I like natural on every girl better. This makeover makes her look ‘hot’ but in a fake way
Actually her natural hair color is blonde. She only dyed it red because someone suggested she do it for a movie.
Her new figure is AMAZING! Not really feeling the blonde hair though..Out of all the movies that she was in I thought she looked her best in Zombieland (although i hated that movie).

As for her weight and skin tone, I prefer her with her original weight. She looks too skinny now, whereas before she looked fine and healthy. I also prefer her with her natural pale skin. I don’t find overly-tanned or fake-tanned skin that attractive.
Emma is blonde and a bit thinner for her upcoming role in Spiderman. The tan is a bit much, but tans are not permanent. We don’t know if it’s just a bronzing for special events.

She looks gorgeous! #1 her hair is blonde because of her role in spiderman as character gwen stacey so the blonde wasn’t her choice. #2 she’s not awfully thin. she has lost some of that baby weight! and she is an actress, seeing yourself on tv all day makes you want to lose weight, give her some credit.

honestly i still think she is pretty, but now she looks kinda sick and malnurished. i can say this because im a nurse and ive had to weight people countless times and i know the BMI, and she looks a little on the thin side. Still a very pretty girl though!
Good looking tanned blondes are a dime a dozen in HWood. Gimme the kooky, beautiful, blue-eyed redheaded or brunette Emma any day over any version of her blonde.
