No, Candice is hourglass and Kelly is mroe pear. Kelly has very very wide hips in proportion to her shoulders/bust. Candice’s hips are lined up perfectly with her shoulders, making her a typical hourglass.

They both have absolutely great bodies. I must say that HERE, in these pictures I would propably rather look like Candice because her body is more toned, but still I find Kelly a lot sexier somehow. She is more sensual.

I was wondering the same thing. She seems to be some kind of a pear/hourglass combo, because she has wide shoulders but small boobs (not obvious in these pics of course).

This one’s hard. I’d say:
1. If we consider the 5 basic shapes: hourglass, pear, ruler, apple, V-shape, then I would say somewhere in between pear and hourglass. The only thing that keeps me from being sure she is an hourglass is her torso, it isn’t 8-shaped like Kelly’s, but very narrow on top then it widens a lot (which is a pear sign).

2. If we consider the 12 shape classification, then I’m kinda lost: she has very long limbs and a stretched figure, which is a clear column sign (most models are columns), but she still has the body of an hourglass / pear.
what are the 12 shapes? And how do we recognize them? I saw something on this site about a skittle recently and had no idea what that would describe or why. Thanks. And you run a fun site.

It’s hard to compare as pictures of both girls are heavily photoshopped. Candice’s breasts are nowhere near this big, who are they kidding? She is gorgeous though, no need for the enhancement which make her body look fake.

I’m usually not a huge fan of either, but I don’t get the Kelly Brook appeal, especially here. Her face doesn’t have many good angles. Also, Candice looks both athletic and “feminine”, in real life as well as Adobe life.

Candice looks to have a way better waist to hip ratio in the last pic. I would definitely say Candice, although i prefer Kelly’s skin tone. Also, i’m not sure whether Kelly has had slight breast implants…. I know she insists they’re all natural – maybe they are – but in one picture i saw while she was filming a movie called Pirahana or something, on the Daily Mail newspaper website, they looked very fake. Using modeling pics like this is not good for comparison. It allows them to pump up Candice’s assets and Kelly never looks as good in her modeling work as she does in candids. You see her on the beach or on a bike or walking around town (look in SvC’s archive for a good sampling), and there is no contest. She wins by a mile. In these pics, it’s almost a wash, but Kelly wins by a pinstripe.

Well then I think it’s a fair matchup, because in my opinion Candice looks better in candids than any of her modeling work, especially her VS photos. It would be interesting to see a candid vs candid of them two.

In those pictures they both look kind of pear shaped. I’m starting to get confused by all this shape talk.
Ah well what do I care they are both smokin.
The reason why they both look pear shaped is because they both have underdeveloped rib cages (that’s what gives them their teeny waists…they both actually have tiny waists, not just an illusion of one thanks to big hips).
They’re both hourglasses though because they both store weight evenly on their top half and bottom half. Some say Candice doesn’t, but if you look closely you’ll see she does. She does have quite prominent arm and chest muscles, B cup breasts…and her hips are not as big as they look…the small waist gives an illusion that her hips are bigger when they’re not). Plus, both of their shoulders are about as wide as the widest part of their hips, something you won’t find in pears.
I see they both have great bodies and pretty faces, but neither of them raises any emotions in me. To me it’s a tie between the two.
Candice by far! IMO she has the most desirable body on Earth. Even though Kelly allways looks good, I have to say Candice won here.

You know, I’ve ALWAYS said it would be great to see a matchup between someone like Candice Swanepoel and someone like Kelly Brook.
This is because whenever people on here do the whole, “THIN WOMEN DON’T HAVE CURVES” routine, they tend to state comparisons like Kim Kardashian vs Victoria Beckham. Clearly, Kim wins in that case.
But I think it gets trickier when you do a FAIR comparison. Candice to me is living proof you can be slim and curvy. And women like Kim Kardashian and Kelly are I guess more sensually curvy. So it’s kind of interesting to see how people wind up voting.
To me, they both have amazing bodies. However, ultimately, I’m going with Candice. I love her long limbs and endless legs, and I find her face more attractive. But I think this comparison is like choosing between ice cream and cake…you win either way. It just depends on your preference.
I was going to say the exact same thing. It’s wonderful to finally have someone to ‘prove’ one can be both slim AND curvy. I’ve seen plenty of examples in real life, but unfortunately this type doesn’t appear to be well-represented in the media.

I wish I knew. Hilariously, many sources say 32E-24-35, while Kate Moss’s measurements are 33-23-35 (apparently, Kate has a curvier figure) so lol, we can’t trust these sources, they are way off.

You know why some call Kelly’s look “dated?” It’s because her body type was considered beautiful for centuries (basically forever) until very recently. Classical beauties are never dated, they are always in vogue by those who appreciate classical beauty. If by “dated” you mean beautiful with classical proportions (which were typically envied by every girl until our own modern times), well yes, then, I’d agree with you.

Actually, I think most people think she looked “dated” in these pictures due to the cut of her panties. They sit really high instead of the low hip huggers that Candice is wearing, which look much more modern and flattering to the modern eye. They both have great bodies, just very different!

I dunno, I’ve never found Candice that enviable looking. She’s not unattractive, and her face and body are certainly interesting, but I find Kelly’s body and curves softer looking (I find Candice’s curves a bit “harsh”, if that makes sense – her waist seems incredibly small to me) and more sexy.
Meh, maybe I’m biased because my body is very similar to Kelly’s… I’m also not a fan of the thin craze. I think women look better with a little meat on them. But that’s just my preference. My mother is really thin and tall (she always has been, but more so recently due to a problem with her pancreas), and she’s always talking about how she wishes her body was more like mine.
It’s different for everyone of course. But, most people I know would choose Kelly over Candice in a heartbeat.

Candice wins, hands down. She is pure perfection – curvy without being “soft.” And as a result, her curves look sharper – if that even makes sense, or more defined. I don’t say this often, but I think I would trade bodies with her because she looks absolutely amazing – and I like that she has a good WHR without having really wide hips, she just has a super tiny waist.

I’m totally for the small boobs movement. But there is an incredible inaccuracy in your statement. The average woman is a B cup (44%) & in fact, only 1% of women are a DD. And Miss Brook is a E. so um, yeah, they are pretty special & rare LOL beauty comes in every shape & size. but there is NOTHING pear like about Kelly’s shape. A pear shape would entail smaller chests so not that I think Candice has a pear shape but her shape is much more “pear like” then Kelly’s. Let’s get our shapes right! Kelly has a great body too, but I like the part where Candice’s butt ends and legs begin… guys in college had a name for that upper-leg-butt-connection (or something).
