I agree that women shouldn’t aim to look skinny (when they’re naturally not skinny), but also, many women can not look like Kelly here, simply because they do not have her horglass body type, her bust-waist-hip ratio and her bone structure.
thank you, Genetics rules over anything. I’m slim, but i naturally just dont have a serious defined hourglass shape, even though i have a larger bust line. exercise can’t give you curves, you are either born with it or you arent.
thank you for saying that. just because you don’t have doesn’t make you a woman. hell you are one! women can’t be helped by how they are shaped and i agree. exercising isn’t always going to give you the curvy body. you have it or you don’t. people these days choose to be ignorant for no reason. you can be skinny and still be healthy and look beautiful without starving yourself.

I think what the posters are probably implying is that Kelly’s body is perfect because of the curviness and realistic proportions for her body type. It would be completely unreal for anyone to assume that there is only one type of body that is ideal for everyone, given the fact that there are various shapes and sizes in which the female form comes in.
As far as Kelly goes, I think she has the body of a goddess from Greek mythology!

thank you to the people who said not everyone can look like this. im so tired of hearing people say “now thats what a woman should look like” or “women should stop aiming to be so hollywood skinny.” its all so naive! women who dont gain weight in a curvy way have NO CHOICE but to be thin, because otherwise theyd have ..for example a bigger stomach because thats where they first gain weight. most women would love to be able to have a little weight on them, if it made good curves. we just arent all lucky.. i would love to be able to not worry about every pound because it went to my hips and gave me a curvy shape. like some of you said theres nothing a woman can do about the shape she was born with. this girl is just lucky.. if she had a different body type you all would be saying how fat she is. because lets face it, she does have some extra pounds on her…BUT its all in her hips and boobs so it looks good. staying in shape is important but its all about body type.

I have an hourglass shape similar to hers (except my hips are not as wide) and I have to work out a lot to keep my body fat percentage lower. People with an hourglass shape typically have to do a lot of cardio to maintain but they don’t have to lift a lot of weight to have muscle. They naturally have muscle. She may not look muscular because of her curves but it’s because she has subcutaneous fat. And that’s not to say she’s fat, most of us have subcutaneous fat, especially females.

It takes a lot of effort to stay looking good with an hourglass shape, because where you put on weight are the places it’s hardest to shift it from – namely thighs, hips and bum, and boobs too, I suppose. Basically, it’s easy to have a flat stomach with an hourglass shape, I’ve never put weight on on my stomach because that’s not what the shape dictates. Saying that, with working out lots, I really have to watch my thighs and what I do exercise wise with them, because I have a tendency to put on more muscle there which means they just get chunkier as opposed to slimmer – I wonder how Kelly keeps her legs looking that good?

Try doing squats to give your thighs shape without gaining too much muscle. I do 3 sets of 30 every other day and I do NOT add weight. When I did, my legs got thicker so I backed off the weights. When you feel like it’s getting easier just increase your reps. This is my favorite exercise!
I also have to really watch my carbs, no processed carbs! They’re evil! Good luck fellow hourglass:)
i agree with you 100%. she has a beautiful shape but not all women can look like that. some people here that say that this is what a woman should look like is ignorant and retarded. and they should know who i am talking about. as long as you’re healthy and take care of yourself but feel comfortable in your own skin then that’s a woman!

There are many women who simply cannot look like her. Take Anna Kournikova, for example. She was posted on this site recently and was described as being ‘V-shaped’. Broad shoulders, not so large breasts and slim hips. How is she supposed to achieve this shape? She would have to have implants put on the sides of her hips and a boob job. Even then, would she look normal or would implants on the hips make her look deformed?

It’s funny how whenever an hourglass/pear shaped woman is posted, there are all these commentes how not all women can look like that, b/c they don’t have that certain body shape. Which is perfectly true. But how come these comments don’t appear when a model is posted? A ruler of some sort. Do you think that a pear shaped woman can have skinny tiny legs like a model, v-shape, ruler? How come no one gets mad when just long, skinny legs are called perfect? How come you have such double standards? You think that is offensive for a natural thin to have to hear that an hourglass is perfect but not offensive for a pear to hear that her legs will be fat no matter what? Think again!
