Uh … 99% is a little high don’t you think? I don’t think 99% of men even like Adriana Lima! And Kelly is very extreme, so it’s likely that more men would be attracted to someone in the middle like Bar, who wouldn’t turn off men who hated wide hips but also wouldn’t turn off men who loved curves.

Walking can work wonders and it can be easy to fit in. I want to start walking to work or at least getting off the tube midway to walk the rest of the journey.

I was in the best shape of my life when I lived in Europe for 6 months and walked everywhere. I would walk to the libraries where I was doing research, which added up to 1 – 2 hours every day. I lost weight and my butt and legs were amazing. Back home, I was going to the gym 4 times a week, working out for an hour, and that didn’t give me the same results. So, yes, I would definitely recommend walking.
Where do you live now? Yeah, I love it during the summer when I walk practically everywhere, though I do stay more local as well! Walking up hill is also good for some extra toning. I’m naturally a very fast walker so even shorter distances can give me a good stretch. The only bummer is that I have urticaria, which means I randomly itch uncontrolably at times. I take an antihistamine but it is not always as effective.
I live in Canada, and luckily in a city that’s great for walking and biking. I do as much as I can and love walking long distances, even when it’s cold and snowy, but my work is just too far away & I have to drive. These days I run to exercise, and I enjoy that, too, but I do it in part because it’s time-effective. I can get a decent bout of cardio in just 30 minutes. I agree that uphill walking is incredible for toning. When I manage to get on a treadmill, I get that incline going! I’m sorry about your skin condition –walking in our city in the cold weather would certainly not help that!
I totally agree – I was in the best shape when I lived in central London and walked everywhere – I didn’t even watch what I ate at all. Walking does wonders when it’s a part of your everyday routine. I swear that’s why Europeans, on average (***in my opinion***), are slimmer than people in my country who tend to rely on their cars so much. I agree with happygolucky that the gym often doesn’t give you the same results. Plus it doesn’t even feel like working out if you’re walking to get to university, work, etc

and as great a workout as sex can be, I think that celebs who give that line in interviews (she certainly isn’t the first) just end up looking desperate.
on one hand, i totally agree with her about sex being great exercise. it’s really the only exercise my fiancé gets (i supplement with yoga and running) and he’s in awesome shape. people marvel at my fiancé when he tells them he doesn’t go to the gym, go running, or do anything really. he leaves out the details
that being said, it does seem desperate for her to talk about. it came off the exact same way to me. i would never even tell a friend that i am in good shape because we bang a lot. umm TMI i think. oh well. maybe i’m just a prude.
also i agree with an above poster. i spent over a year in paris and barcelona and had never looked better because of all the walking. life here in dallas (barf, i live here because of work, don’t judge) is so sedentary. but also dallas isn’t beautiful at all (compared to paris or barca) so i don’t want to walk around as much! my one mile walk to the grocery is through nasty convenience stores and stuff. living in a beautiful city that you can walk around, with good weather, is my goal in life. santa barbara, denver, austin…. i’ll get there some day!! anyway yes walking is awesome.
I don’t know why but I don’t like her. I think it’s the way she comes off and our figures are too similar except she’s got broad hips. I’m not a fan of my figure and big chest so maybe that’s where my dislike stems from. I would love to be a flat chested-the smallest I’ve ever been was before puberty, even at my skin and bones time I had too big of boobs and it feels unbalanced and to be honest? It makes the clothes I truly want to wear look less than stylish and more risque-not a look I’ve ever wanted. I envy smaller busted women.

Oh my, I feel you! I used to be 32A and I went to 32DD and I am still size 2. they look huge on my tiny frame and I don’t like it. you never look classy, only sexy no matter how much you cover them up
Sometimes I think my boobs have their own life it feels weird. The creepy looks from guys are no fun either. I miss my flat times, especially when I want to zip up my jacket and when I do I cannot breath

I love that her stomach looks slightly toned and soft at the same time.I also like the third picture how she has a little teeny pooch while she’s sitting down. It makes me feel less self conscious of my own. Her boobs are a bit big for my taste, probably because I have been a D cup for since I was 14, and I wasn’t comfortable with them up until the last couple years (now 24).
Also, I agree with her about walking. When I lived in Paris, I walked everywhere. Ironically, I gained weight…most likely because I ate a lot of bread, chocolate, cheese and really rich food that I was not used to. However, when I returned back to Florida, I read FRENCH WOMEN DON’T GET FAT. Although the author sounds a little condescending towards American and British women at times, (I think it’s just la coutume francaise and not necessarily done on purpose or in a degrading manner) this book is a great reminder of the importance of water, walking, and equilibrium. Although I can’t walk to work (lack of decent public transportation and a 6 lane highway), I work at a university where I have the option to park far away from my office building and the buildings in which I teach. Anyway, my point is, that I recommend this book for those who find diets redundant, unhealthy, and boring.

It’s just that the term curvy has become so generic these days that the media thrust Kelly Brook to represent the slender curvy shapes as well as the bigger sized girls that aren’t necessarily curvy. Even my friend who is a 5″3 UK14 hourglass used to go on that women like Kelly Brook and Scar Jo were a joke to represent a figure like hers and she has the same shape!
