Katy Perry Talks Favorite Food
June 4, 2010 in Celebrity Quotes, Katy Perry by Versus

Maxim’s Hottest in 2010 babe Katy Perry shares her culinary preferences with us:
‘I love mushrooms. I could eat a ton of them. I really love truffles but I hardly ever get them. Mushrooms in general though are so healthy and good for you. I can’t get enough.”
‘My fave things include barbeque chicken chop at CPK Chinese, chicken salad at Chinchins, Rock shrimp and yellow tail sashimi at Nobu, Crispy beef at Mr.Chow’s, four curry chicken salad at Urth Cafe, my beloved double double at In-N-Out Burger. All so good!’
… says Katy.

well its nice that she’s not like most celebrities with their “salad only” type of meals…and it is obvious that she really eats such stuff…good for her…we need more “middle bodies” (not fat -nt skinny) in celeb world
She has really bad legs.. like around the knee area… ughh
I totally agree!!
Does she have cellulite or is it just the angle of the photo?
could just be the angle, but even if she does,so what? its refreshing to come across her body type and attitude!
For once a celebrity doesn’t say “I love greens!” and you post a bad picture. The angle is mean, there were way better pictures of her on that particular day.
I’ve noticed that Versus does this a lot. If you look at other websites, they’ll have tons of flattering pics, and you come here and only the bad ones are posted.
More drama that way, I suppose.
@ Anne & Awau,
I did not choose a “bad” picture on purpose – in fact:
1. She does not look bad to me here at all, I like her normal-slim figure. People have different perceptions and I am not responsible if you interpret an OK picture as bad, I can not possibly predict 50 000 people’s different, potential or probable perceptions.
2. The outfit is very revealing, so it shows a lot of her figure, which is relevant for this post.
3. I went to FamePicture’s site and looked for THE MOST RECENT pictures of Katy – this one showed up.
4. My general rule when the pics are the main focus of the post: more pictures from different angles for more accuracy, NOT “bad” pictures on purpose. I do not want to deceive anyone and I do not want to create drama and it saddens me and it offends me that you think I do. The most “drama” I want to create is when choose an interesting / unexpected picture for the front page and the rest after the jump, it increases the fun factor of the post – but I am NOT trying to deceive you, this is completely against my values.
5. I am the FIRST to point out things like: “it’s the dress / outfit that makes celebrity X look bigger, she’s not fat” or “the angle is unflattering”, I am always trying to indicate these factors in order to help you form an accurate opinion.
6. I’ve been accused of so many unjustified on this site, things like I am pro-obesity, pro-anorexia, hate celebrity X, purposely make celebrities look awful and many more. Considering all the above, I don’t understand: with all my posts against falseness and media manipulation through Photoshop plus my positive tone, why would you believe that I have such defamatory intentions?
Hey Versus, it’s ok, most of us (I think I assume right) think your posting style is as balanced as possible. I certainly appreciate the fact that you don’t take such a definitive pro/against stance about a certain look, and don’t try to lord it over with what you personally consider attractive.
Thumbs up.
you said it all, this is def one of the best websites…
Thank you Suzushii & Natasha!
Versus, I didn’t mean to offend- as you said, it is just my perception. I appreciate all the hard work you put into this website, and I know that it must be really difficult to maintain it, but *to me* it just seems that the photos chosen are the ones that are going to incite the most discussion (which is what I meant by ‘drama’). But that is just one perception in a sea of many, and I apologize if I hurt your feelings- that was not my intention.
I come to this website to see different body types celebrated, but *to me* it seems like the posts celebrate predominately thinner body types. It gets frustrating, because there are so many beautiful bodies out there but I never see them on here.
For instance, you covered the Mark Fast fashion show, where all the plus models looked horrible, but you never covered the Elena Miro fashion show, where all the models look gorgeous and desirable. There is post after post about VS models, but rarely anything about the stunning BGM models, Bella Management models, or the (other) 12+ UK models.
I know that it is not your responsibility to cater your website to my aesthetic, and obviously you are free to post whatever you like. I just made an observation that seems true through my eyes, but as I said, it was not my intention to hurt you and I apologize if I did so.
I would have loved to cover the Elena Miro show, I was simply unaware of it – I have my photo agencies and my sources and I follow those and the media basically made a big deal about the Mark Fast show, but nothing about the Miro show.
Also, in the recent months, I’ve been covering plus-size models a lot, but you have to understand that the final result (the posts, more precisely) are not a direct result of my wish – SO many factors intervene: the existence and availability of the pictures is the essential factor (VS models are EXTREMELY photographed and plus-size ones are not, I can’t do anything about that). I literally STRUGGLE to find pictures that cast different shapes and sizes, I look around for hours sometimes to feature someone new.
If you find something interesting and suitable for my site, kindly send me a link to the news – I can’t guarantee that I will post it (again, factors, not my personal wish), but I will try.
BTW, I recently received a mail that said that I am promoting fatness, not curves, that I “constantly bash the skinny girls” (?) and of course, that I must be obese for making such a pro-fat site. And yesterday, a mail that complained about my “obvious pro-size 0″ site that “bashes everything above a size 2″ and that real women are above size 12 and that I must be anorexic. It baffles me, really. I think the sole fact that people interpret my site in such opposite ways shows that I fall somewhere in the middle, I am neutral and in no way an extremist.
Yes refreshing is the right word. Every time I see a normal-looking celeb with attitude, I count it as a victory for women (versus media). And the hint of wobble thighs? Her BMI looks like it’d still be in healthy range, and she looks happy and satisfied so yay for her!
Yeah, those shorts and that sun, doesn’t flatter. She has a great shape and body in general. It is so nice to hear something besides fruit, fish, greens, and whole grain.
the first pic freaked me out!
does she ever cook for herself?
Hair and eyebrows in first pic – scary.
Legs in second pic – kinda icky. But quite a lot like mine haha
anyone who needs to have her face painted on like that does not deserve the #1 hot spot.
i loooooooove her hair in the first pic! so cleopatra-ish
sexy
her eyebrows are too bold
i wont be a biiiiiatch and say something bad about her legs cuz mine aren’t skinny either lol.
same bs every celeb tells cept its not fruit and vegetables but mushrooms..
Moving on, what the hell is going on with her eyebrows?
WAY too darrkkk
her eyebrows look way too.. painted on and harsh.
But if they were brown, that would look stupid because her hair is black haha
notice how everything she mentions is from a restaurant, like I think she was trying to sound down to earth and relatable but most “normal” people don’t eat out every nite! Anyway shes nothing special and I dont get why shes so famous.
why do celebrities have to prove that they are “normal” people? it seems pretty obvious to me that they are all just as human as we are until we put them on a pedestal. and there are a lot of non famous people who eat out frequently. everyone has a different lifestyle.
I don’t see how she is trying to look down to earth. Many of the mentioned restaurants are very expensive.
She sounds more like a foodie. Can’t blame her really, if I had her money I’d never cook a day in my life and always enjoy the best restaurants.
On the first picture she has way too much makeup on! Plus it makes the pimples around her chin more noticeable. Proactive may not be working for her.
Why the hell she puts so much make up on her face,it`s looks like something from a cartoon movie
that’s strange, her legs look pretty big on the lower picture … compared to some other pics in which she’s at the beach, and I think they’re quite recent.
She is a beautiful young woman. It’s nice to see that she does appear to have cellulite on the front of her thighs. She is like the rest of women.
She looks like she is a healthy weight and has a great figure (i.e. recent photos of her in a bikini and her fiance proved that).
Cellulite is common in women no matter how thin or fit you are. A little bit of cellulite is not the end of the world and it certainly doesn’t make her look any less attractive.
I really love fruit and greens, in fact fatty foods make my sick, maybe cause I’m italian and luckily I’ve been used to eat a lot of that stuff instead of hamburgers, french fries or junk food (of course I’m not saying all Italians are like this!!).
Is there something so wrong about loving yourself and eating healthy??
An impressive share! I have just forwarded this onto a friend who has been doing
a little homework on this. And he actually ordered me dinner
due to the fact that I stumbled upon it for him.
.. lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!
! But yeah, thanks for spending time to discuss this topic
here on your internet site.
