Kate Moss With and Without Make-up & Perfect Lighting & Photoshop
August 17, 2009 in Kate Moss, Photoshop Job by Versus

I’ve been asked by many of you to do this, so here you all go:
On the left, Kate Moss on her free time, natural and make-up less.
On the right, Kate on the cover of W Magazine, with the perfect make-up on, styling, in the perfect light and helped by Photoshop. This “magazine Kate” seems to have everything… just no wrinkles.
I think Kate is a great model, she is beautiful and she has a great bone structure…. but I just wish the difference between daily Kate and cover-girl Kate wouldn’t be as big, because the second picture sets unrealistic & false standards for the regular 35 year-old woman (Kate’s age).
Here’s the rest of the shoot:

No way…… is this for real
You would be surprised at how different many models and celebrities look compared to their ads (or movies, or posters, or anything).
First off, can I just say THANK YOU for this website. I love the positivity…There are so many sites (also focusing on celebrity weight) that are just filled with horrible negativity and slander. But here most comments seem atleast fairly decent and you do a great job of being honest all the while maintaining kindness too
Personally, I think the first picture of Kate just happens to be a fairly unflattering one. If she were looking straight at the camera it would be easier to tell. But, that said, there is still a very noticeable difference between the two. I think her skin is perhaps a bit damaged by the sun, and that causes the wrinkles as well. She is an attractive and unique looking woman, which is why she is a model. I just feel something in between the first picture and second picture would sell whatever it they are trying to sell best.
love your comment, so had to reply straight away… i agree with most of what you said, only that i would like to add that alcohol and smoking surely accelerated the aging process, too. however, i love her editorial shots and i do think that she is a fantastic and extremely versatile model.
Thats very true. I completely forgot about alcohol and smoking, but you are so right, they make a difference too. And though I do not know much about Kate Moss, I do think I remember something about her taking drugs (a couple of years ago?). Im sure things like that have a negativity impact on skin and overall physical appearance as well.
But even so, she does look great! And like you said, she is incredably versatile as a model!
And i appreciate you opinion to.
I thought exactly the same when I saw these pictures a few days ago on dailymail. Very unflattering pic. I saw many candids of her and she’s not so awful, that’s for sure. Yeah, she’s smoking and drinking, but that doesn’t affects so much your skin, especially when you’re one of the highest paid models out there and visiting spas and all that crap on a regular basis as she does. I really like her and her attitude, even the lifestyle. Without this package it’s not Kate Moss anymore.
Thank you for your nice words! We’re happy you like the site!
I never thought she was beautiful I just liked her a bit because she was a small model and did not have a perfect body.
This is what alcohol and drugs do to you…
wow my 75 year old great aunt has better skin than her, and she smokes daily
for me it all boils down to how much money these models and actresses make for these photo shoots. the truth of the matter is that without photoshopping they wouldn’t be breathtaking at all, and they are being compensated millions upon millions of dollars for these shoots even though they don’t “deserve” it. If they got paid regular salaries, all the photoshopping wouldn’t bother me one bit…
see that’s how you will look like if you live on sun, alcohol, cigarets and… sun…but I personally think she is somewhere between those two. It’s like that episode of “sex and the city” where Carry had photoshoot named “single and fabulous” and end up looking like crap, remember anyone?
Yeah, exactly! That was a funny one!
NO WAY! she must roast herself in the sun and smoke non-stop. I’m 32 and I shudder when I look at this!!! for real….SHOCKING!
I’ll believe that first picture 100%.
You need to remember- she’s a cokehead (it’s been pretty much proven) who drinks a ton, smokes cigarettes and sunbathes like there’s no tomorrow. Combine all those things and this is what you get- wrinkles like THAT ate the ripe age of 35…
agreed completely.
It’s sad, she used to be really great
hahahaha
i think with Kate it has never been about her looks, what makes her special is this “something” she has, you can t describe it but you just know she has it.
I don’t think that the photoshopped picture is completely out of the realm of what a woman at 35 can look like. I do think it’s unfair to make us think that’s the only way a woman can look beautiful though. I know a lot of woman who are that age and don’t have wrinkles and look very fresh and young. I am 30 and still look 20. It can happen, but it’s not the only way to look great. I wish magazines and ads would stop making everyone look mostly the same. That’s the part that bugs me. As for Kate, she has great bone structure and it’s a shame she has been so hard on her body.
I NEVER ever thought this woman was beautiful. She has a good sense of fashion and is a great model, but she’s just NOT PRETTY :s
I dont’ think you’ve been quite fair to Kate here, the picture of her without any make-up is unflattering, it’s clearly taken at a moment where she had the sun in her face – which would make her frown, and that would give her more wrinkles.
There’s a lot of pictures out there of her without any make-up, and a lot of them would have done her more just. Please make a new one, oh and ceep them up, I love these posts.
But please try to be fair and use pictures of them where they relax the expressions.
