Jennifer Love Hewitt Brings the Quote of the Day
June 10, 2010 in Celebrity Quotes, Jennifer Love Hewitt by Versus

“I do the elliptical every day for at least 45 minutes. I don’t enjoy it, but I do it. I love doing the spin bike. It’s a great way to burn 500 calories or something every time you do it, which is amazing.”
“I watch America’s Next Top Model and go, ‘Okay, I know if I stay on this an extra 15 minutes, I will look like that girl!’” she tells Us. “I don’t however, when I get off, but it inspires me.”
… says Jennifer.

Looks good to me:)
Is this an old photo of her? She looks bigger than in the recent pictures I’ve seen. Not that it matters, she’s one of my favorites at any weight, simply gorgeous!
I always thought that JLH was one of those “naturally skinny” people because she was extremely thin a few years back…… Now I see that she’s not and I feel sorry for her!
It must be horrible to have such pressure and to be obligated to become paranoyd by counting calories, exercizing like crazy and being constantly compared to the other women in the business.
If I had to do that on a daily basis I would have no time to live my life and I don’t think life is all about watching your weight.
In my honest opinion the best way to look good is to be sensible. Exercize because it makes you feel good and, not because you personal trainer is asking you, and eat reasonably without being obsessed by the calories.
I think she was naturally skinny when she was really young. I remember her old interview when she said that she does not work out to lose weight and she only does pilates because it makes her feel good, as you put it
She seems to be quite reasonable, judging from her other comments
She lost weight and toned after the negative comments about her bikini pictures, but she didn’t become extremely skinny to fit Hollywood standards
Yeah, I like that she hasn’t given up to the Hollywood standards to become a skeleton.
However if being thin was her natural shape, she would still be, and that’s not the case. Also, she clearly states that she doesn’t enjoy the elliptical but she has to do it.
I wish she could play on the beach with her dog for 1 hour instead of killing herself by doing activities that she doesn’t like, that’s what I meant.
You’re right saying that she’s not naturally skinny. But there are many girls who are really skinny when they are in their teens/ early twenties and then suddenly their metabolism slows down and they gain.
I agree with you on that
There are so many fun activities that you can do and still burn calories and tone your body
I agree gray.
Life is way too short to spend an hour a day doing something you really dislike!
her comments sound reasonable to me. I run at least 45 minutes a day, which is a lot harder than using the elliptical, and i am not a celebrity….its healthy to get your heart pumping a little every day of the week.
Why in the hell would she want to look like anybody else? She is HAWT!!! Those twits on ANTM go to bed and dream about looking like her.
She will never look like the models from america’s next top model, she isn’t tall enough, plus she doesn’t have the right body shape. Why would she want to look like those models anyway?? what a freak. I always thought that she was smarter then that!!! Whoever wants to look like a model is just plain silly
they are just toooo skinny
45 minutes on the elliptical a day? What a waste of time.
What? That is a totally reasonable amount of time to work out every day.
The elliptical doesn’t actually burn 500 calories, even though it says it does on the display. That’s because the machine is providing most of the momentum. Actually running for 45 minutes is a better workout.

45 min everyday is a little much. I’d expect with that kind of cardio she would be slimmer…? Maybe not. Don’t leave out the weight sessions JLH. Cardio is nothing without doing weights.
I was just watching Ghost Whisperer last night and thinking she is so gorgeous. She’s got an amazing body!
@Meh: That’s an ignorant comment. Not all models are too skinny and it isn’t ‘silly’ to want to look like them. Some people may prefer to more slender type and some may prefer the curvier. One shape or body type is not better than any other!
Again, I love Jennifer!
i didnt know the eliptical wasnt that great of exercise. thanks guys for sharing the info. and i was wondering why im losing weight so slowly when i eat great and live on the eliptical machine, high settings and all. gotta get my ass on the treadmill from now on!
actually you should run outside, it burns more calories than running on the treadmill.
Running outside is harder on the knees for some people and can be a challenge if you’re just starting out. Plus allergy season, oh my.
Yeah because calories can totally tell if you are indoors or outdoors. If you are talking about running up hills you can change both the speed and incline on treadmills.
The eliptical makes your ass huge!! same as biking!! DANCE people.. thats fun and a great work out.
maybe its a good thing for me lol im very apple shape. i did go from 142 to 124 lbs (at 5″4) by doing eliptical but it took me like a year while eating good. thank you for the advice though i do have the days when i like running outside.
or ashtanga yoga, that shaved my ass off in no time (well, about a year, but it’s stayed off!) without any change in eating habits
what are you talking about? it doesn’t make your ass huge!
It can build a lot of muscle making your legs look bigger, that’s what I was told by my trainer. She said it’s good to do the bike every second week. No mention about making your ass bigger though! And it hasn’t done that for me!!
two years ago i lost 40lbs in 7 months doing the eliptical for inly 30 min a day with some weigh training,so it can work
ANTM is the show I avoid when I’m at the gym!!
