I normally LOVE skinny legs but these legs just totally freaked me out….UGH! The area right above her knee is sooooo skinny it’s just not normal. ICK. Her thighs are smaller than her calves for goodness sake!
yes, I can see that..but for example in the first pic only one of her legs looks like that…she IS walking
Maybe it does look smaller because she’s walking…but it’s still just too darn skinny IMO. I do love her outifit though…the skirt is to die for:)
She looked a bazillion times prettier when she was younger and in the movie “Labyrinth” with David Bowie where she had more baby fat on her face. She’s just the type of woman who looks better with more weight on her than less, just like Kristin Cavalleri (sp?). Especially because of their rectangular face shapes- does not look good if it’s gaunt and bony, makes them look much older than they are. She would look better with 5 pounds of muscle on her body and more weight on her face to soften its sharp angles, IMO.

is it just me or is this emaciated look that celebrities are adopting, getting a bit lame.
it seems everyday there’s someone new that looks like a skeleton.
i’m not saying having an eating disorder is lame – i was anorexic for 5 years, and can sympathize with celebs like nicole richie, mary kate olsen etc.
but this is clearly becoming just a trend in hollywood at the moment – and imo it’s getting old and predictable.

I agree with you…and i think that the ultra skinny are almost over, thank god! All we want now is slim (but normal) and proportional measures! =)
I get what you’re saying, but I think in Jennifer’s case, she didn’t do it on purpose. Her father died a couple of months ago, I believe.

woah, she is way too skinny! i love her outfit though.
I love her style and her outfit, the skirt and the shoes, but with those skinny legs she looks like a little child who got not enough to eat..is it only my imagination or does everyone want knees which seem huge compared to the skinny legs? They look so fragile like unable to carry her.
Her legs are looking scarily thin, but I find it hard to focus away from her face. It’s the most beautiful face in Hollywood! Those eyes are amazing.

if this is your definition of perfect then i think you have some serious body issues. this girl is clearly not eating enough and anyone that deems a stick figure like this to be perfection is putting unecassary pressure on anyone who reads this, particuarly young girls or people with eating disorders
Why do people feel the need to put down others whose idea of perfect is different from their own? So what if Ramie thinks this girl is perfection? Clearly she is in the minority, so let her have her opinion without insulting her. And your view of eating disorders is way oversimplified.
everyone is entitled to thier own oppinion thats true, and i didnt mean my comments to “put down others” but anyone can see that this photo does not depict a healthy girl. It shows someone who is clearly underweight and therefore (is likely to be) undereating/over exercising which, lets face it, is a pretty twisted idea of perfection.
Ramie can like this type of body with out having any body issues. I don’t think Jennifer looks that bad as people here are saying, I think she looks good for 39…and I don’t know about her legs..she’s walking in the pics, she would have to stand still…
Also I don’t see why she can’t say her opinion for fear of putting unnecessary pressure on young girls or whatever, she wasn’t being rude or anything. Since you care so much about young girls, there are also a lot of naturally thin girls, specially when they are growing, that can’t help it, and on who you are putting unnecessary pressure.
I agree. She looks perfect. :] People need to stop the whole ‘omg, thin? BAD!!’ I’m naturally thin and toned, so it gets annoying to see other women complain about how thin is unhealthy.
More people die to heart attacks due to excess cholesterol, that comes with fat, or bad nutrition, and nutrition isn’t exactly related to actual food, but more to vitamins and extra supplements you ingest. She might look thin but be in great condition, but of course, a critical eye will only look for the ‘REAL WOMAN’ figure and try to have 130+ pounds.
Naturally thin isn’t bad, I don’t think anyone is saying that, not here anyway. The thing is, Jennifer wasn’t always this thin, and I think that’s what people are saying is bad. She’s lost weight, and considering she was slim before her weight loss, she looks underweight now. I don’t think she did it on purpose though, if I remember correctly her father passed away a few months ago.
If her and her father were close, people should let her be, she has bigger problems than what her legs look like.

I <3 the outfit, bodywise??…good but…- I agree with those that say she needs to gain a few pounds.
She looks like someone who probably can’t gain weight in her legs. I’ve seen borderline overweight women with super thin legs before…they just had all of their weight around their midsection. She’s probably on the slimmer side with really thin legs.
If I were her I would consider weight training my legs to get some muscle on there. But I don’t think she needs to do anything if she is happy with herself…women come in all sizes, and not everyone has thick thighs.
I’ve seen her in movies and i have see older pictures of her. Trust me, her legs did not look this sick. Having a smaller thigh than calf is not normal. Some people are very rude and harsh, but you are almost naive this time (though usually i love your comments, don’t get me wrong please
); you do not need to find an excuse for everyone, too thin is just too thin.
I don’t know who she is and I didn’t bother to Google her. I still stand by my statement that it is possible to have very thin legs (some women don’t gain there). However, I could be wrong about her specific case. If she used to be bigger then it’s very likely that she is not eating enough, or actively restricting her diet.
Well i happen to know her and know that is not her natural look. She is a very slim woman. And yes there are women with naturally thin legs. However, i don’t know of one single case where skinnier thighs than calves is healthy or natural.

I found it when I was Googling her. She’s much bigger in that picture, although she still has VERY thin legs. I’m wondering how long ago that was, because she has definetly lost weight since then.
I don’t think we should judge whether or not she lost weight by looking at her legs…they don’t seem to have changed very much (walking and wearing black tights exaggerates the thinness of her legs in the pictures above). But I think it’s very obvious she has lost weight when you look at the top of her body.
Casey – that photo was taken in 2003. She looks ‘big’ because she was pregnant then.
I love this woman. She’s the classier, more beautiful version of Megan Fox, in my opinion. Or rather, Megan Fox is the less classy, less beautiful version of the amazing Jennifer Connelly. She was so adorable in Labyrinth. Everytime I see this woman, I’m so impressed by her. Her legs do look VERY skinny in this pic, but I wouldn’t jump and say it’s because she’s restricting and being unhealthy. Some people just have legs THIS skinny, no matter their age. Some people, when they start to make healthier eating choices, just go down like this. I don’t know what she’s doing, but I hope she’s healthy. That’s most important.
She is super pretty and yes very thin.

WOW! Thanks for the pics. Yeah, she was heavier in the past for sure but I think she looked great then…she still looks pretty but I think she should try to stay somewhere in the middle of the past and where she is now. Of course, that’s just my opinion:)
Wow I didn’t realize how much bigger she was back then. Maybe she isn’t naturally that thin… if I was her I’d gain about 5lbs but no more.

I usually LOVE skinny legs..But her calf muscle is bigger than her thigh. That is not right. She has lost so much weight recently, but I think she has gone a bit too far
as i have read, there are indeed girls/people out there who are convinced her body is perfection. as i have also read, a lot of people are referring to jen’s body/legs in this pic as a little girl’s figure, or prepubescent body type. i’ve noticed this among many other pics of stars, including Miranda Kerr, and even Jessica stroup back in the day on 90210. i do find it odd that a little girls figure to some, is “perfect” or “just right”. It makes me wonder if the world is just paranoid, including myself, or this idealiztion of youth has litteraly starved of us looking grown up. thats the norm? thats what majority of guys want? or have woman just done this to themselves and take pride when they have their pre-teen body back even if they’re 50. i dont know..it weirds me out.,it even weirds me out even more when how many times i read those “perfect” comments, or “those are the legs of a 12 year old,” remarks on this site and i cringe. i cringe equally every time.

The “legs of a 12 year old” comments are always negative from what I see.
And men like in shape women, but they also go nuts for women like Nicole Bahls and Christina Hendricks.
Yeah its true. Men like different things, but the mass majority it seems prefer petite or slim woman. Obviously not disgustingly skinny like Rachel zoe, but defently petite. I mean, what man doesn’t want to tot around a cute little girl? LOL. Also, being with a tiny woman makes a man feel more manly overall and its very instinctive for men. But there are men who like really curvy girls too… just not unhealthy tho.
I think men like women to look feminine, delicate and harmonic, it’s a common sense. Men like this fragile defenseless look on women, and it’s a man’s stuff, something in their genes LOL…just like all men check out a butt or boobs when they see them…they just can’t help it, it’s in their instinct.
Jennifer looks great, 39 and so young, because she is skinny…who knows if she was in her average weight she wouldn’t look young like that…my guess
hey, Versus, can you tell me my body type? I’m 5’7″, 120 lbs, my measurements are 34 23 36… I sometimes appear like a pear and sometimes like a hourglas… So who am I?
I know it’s difficult to say…
There are basic 2 things that tell you if you are an hourglass or not:
1. Your shoulders should be as wide as your hips, not more, not less – check in the mirror.
2. Your waist should be 70% the size of your bust and hips or less (typical hourglasses have less, like Salma Hayek for example) – yours is 68 and 63% respectively, so you sound like an hourglass.

I love her. The dark hair, light eyes and fair skin is gorgeous. And she’s a great actress.
However, her body has changed a lot throughout the years and I’m not convinced that her recent weight loss is as a result of bereavement. I think there is much more going on. I think she has given in to the hollywood pressures of thinness and I don’t like it on her at all. I liked her body more when she had curves.
I adore her. I think she’s gorgeous, and she went to Yale and Stanford! So she’s intelligent, talented, and breath-takingly beautiful. I just love her… Definitely on my list of “Women Who Make Me A Tiny Bit Less Hetero”.

They probably aren’t, there would be extra leg behind rather than side to side. If you measured them around I bet they would still be bigger.

She clearly doesn’t care about being thin, because this outfit actually makes her look bigger than she is. In a tight dress you can see how skinny she really is.
I don’t think you can exclude her care factor on the basis of what clothes she is wearing. It’s freezing! It’s not unreasonable to choose comfort over “flaunting it”.
I remember her husband saying her dramatic weightloss was a response to the fathers death a few months back. Let the girl grieve. She is naturally beautiful and extremely intelligent. She is definitely much more of a role model than most of todays celebrities who get surgery, sell sex, and value money and possession over intellect.

Jennifer has been very thin since her father`s death last year. She is now `runway model weight` i.e. underweight for her height and therefore has `bambi legs`- thighs too thin for her frame. If she is a pear shape her calves will always be curvier, even after weight loss. She has a gorgeous face, but I worry that she is tettering on the edge on `gaunt`. I hope she is maintaining her weight by eating lots of protein, fresh fruit and veg and working out, but I fear she may just not be eating enough. Although she has gorgeous thick hair, so she is getting enough b vits/ minerals. I hope she is ok.
When I was anorexic I would have thought she looked amazing and was proof that very thin is healthy. Now I am in recovery I know that she is too thin. A few pounds would do wonders, but I guess she needs to control her weight at this time in her life.
