Miranda Kerr Gets a Schoolgirl Makeover for Numero
June 4, 2010 in Hot Models, Miranda Kerr by Versus

To complete the title, Miranda Kerr gets a naughty Catholic schoolgirl makeover for Numero Issue 114 magazine, since skimpy outfits, cigarettes and out-in-the-open boobs are part of this shoot.
No bubbly personality, cute dimples and brown locks in this one!
So how do you like thin & blonde Miranda here?

Make sure you see the rest after the jump!

she is really beautiful! and, surprisingly, a good model, too! since this is a website focussing on weight and shape- she is very, very thin. she doesn’t look ill, though.
I disagree. I think the blonde hair makes her look much thinner, especially in the face.
I love the fashion in this shoot. LOVE.
i really like this photoshoot! i’m not sure if the blond hair flatters her, but it fits the theme. anyway she looks good and fit.
Her thigh looks really thin in the 4th picture down
I think she is a great model though, one of my favourite
wtf??????????? doesn’t even look like her..
Oooo, I like it. It doesn’t even look like Miranda Kerr! I really like the first one.
wow, she looks really nice, I don’t really like the blonde though but she somehow manages to pull it off. I love the clothes and stuff, especially the shoes. <3
Ok seriously, whats up with her thighs in the fifth picture (esp. the right one) ?? WTF?
Bad photoshop??
hot, hot, hot
There are only two or three pics where i can tell it’s Miranda, but i like the shoot a lot, and i agree, looks aside, she models well. Maybe it’s my imagination and it has been going on forever, but i feel like recently the blond, alien-ish, no eye brows look has gotten more common.
Goregous pics.
However, even though I love her poses, she needs to work on elongating her body. At 5’7.5, you can see it..
^^I hope I don’t get b*tched at for this. But I model, I’m 5’9, and photographers b*tch at me for not elongating my body!
she is 5’7? i would NEVER guess. dont you HAVE to be 5’9 to model? (with exception of kate moss)
no, 5’8 is the average minimum… but there are some that are 5’7.
She’s actually 5’9. Here’s her profile on FMD: http://www.fashionmodeldirectory.com/models/Miranda_Kerr/
you actually believe that model statistics that are released are real?
I usually doubt their waist sizes/hip sizes, but why bother lying about the height? They usually don’t lie regarding 3 inches.. Even Devon Aoki and Kate Moss are listed as being shorter because it just wouldn’t look remotely plausible to deem them a 5’9 if they’re clearly a 5’6/5’7. Just looking at her in comparison with all the other VS models (i.e.: runway, or even sans footwear on the beach in that VS promotional shoot) you can see they’re all of similar heights, and I HIGHLY doubt ALL of them (Alessandra, Miranda, Rosie, and Doutzen) are 5’7. Just saying.. no need for catty-ness.
i’ve met miranda.. i’m 5’9 and i was a fair bit taller… doutzen is a little taller, maybe 5’9? but alessandra/miranda are definitely 5’7 or around there
i dont know about rosie, but.
and yes, agencies DO lie about height, probably more than for other measurements.
yes she is definitely 5’9” even pushing 5’10”. just watch her on a runway.
I’m surprised that she’s so versatile – most VS models can’t pull off that “high-fashion” look.
agree!
I love the kookyness of numero. I really think she is the most versatile model in a long time. She can be both commercial and pull off the odd/unique runway girl look – you don’t see many runway models all smiley in Victoria’s Secret campaigns. I really like her.
Maybe I’m the only one, but I really hate when people add sexuality school girls or their uniforms.
It’s all types of perverted and disgusting.
No, sister. You aren’t the only one. I’m with you!
i agree! this photoshoot makes me sick. it’s incredibly demeaning and just plain wrong
I search on the net for Numero magazin. If it was a sex magazin I understand the photos. But it is a fashion magazin. So … everybody knows the models pictured in this kind of magazins are taken like role-models by school girl and boys (they think this is how a young woman should be).
I really believe in free spech and free to express yourself. But some things must be viewd by a child/youth with parenteral adviser. Somebody must tell this youngsters – it is just a photo and somebody’s work; and not an everyday lifestyle.
I’m catholic and I think this is so wrong and perturbing, I really really hate it , it’s really offensive. THIS is called sacrilege. Why they needed to use the bible and the holly images????? dont like miranda anymore
Aaaah religious people are soooooo open minded.
lol.
Get a grip, she’s a model she does what they ask her to do.
I don’t like her though and I think the shot is not beautiful, but everyone who are shocked make me laugh.
lol i agree. if you don’t like it don’t look at it.
Yes of course, we all know that only truly open minded appreciate sacrilege and such. If we don’t then we are typical narrow minded prudish brainwashed ‘religious people’.
Hey I’m catholic too and I found this to be disgustingly offensive.
i like this photoshoot, miranda is great but i hate what they did to her face here…
Sexy as hell))
And I love her with blond hair actually
This is the first time I have ever found her sexy – I don’t think I would even know it was her if her name weren’t there. The pic with the nun I feel a bit grossed out by (catholic schoolgirl/nun schoolboy/priest – whats the difference?).
That’s Miranda Kerr?! Isn’t the big selling point of a top model that she can always look different but still be recognizable? But then again, with that styling – who would?
She looks a bit like sophie ellis bextor here. especially in the fifth picture
thats what i thought!! glad someone else noticed. especially in the pic where she is holding the bouquet.
I love her! I really didn’t realize how versatile she could be, good for her
She does look a little creepy with the bleach blond eyebrows though lol but it suits the shoot.
well I guess I’m the only one, but I think this shoot is kind of gross, not sexy, the school girl thing is ok, but the whole nun and catholic thing is a bit too much… I wonder what people’s reactions would be if it was some other religion…
Also, her left thigh looks pretty weird in the second pic, like it’s barley attached to the rest of her.
i agree completely. The first photo has a picture of Madonna hanging by her bum…I dont know if it’s subliminal or not but it looks very offensive. While I am not catholic, I went to a catholic high school and maybe that’s why I find the ‘sexy’ school girl look so disturbing.
I understand it’s high fashion and part of the appeal is something a little more risque…I think showing any religion’s sacred practices or figures of authority in such a manner takes away the artistic appeal of the shoot.
Oh and Kerr looks good, unrecognisable but good.
Sharen, you’re not alone in views of this shoot.
The last few pics aren’t so bad but the first three, especially the one with her posing with nun are just plain tacky and offensive. I go to a Catholic church so naturally I don’t take to kindly to these.
And to answer your question Sharen the chances are that if this were another religion depicted with such sexual innuendos this shoot wouldn’t have been allowed or there would’ve been protests that would have led to it being taken off and an apology.
I accept that in a society that allows free expression you will come across different portrayals of religion but what irks me are the double standards that it seems to be okay to mock Christianity but not other religions and images like this photo shoot that serve no practical purpose (i.e. to spark a genuine debate, a critique) other than to make money.
Wow, I think this shoot is very inappropriate/gross/sick and Miranda has lost all the respect in my eyes for being in it not that her chipmunk face and ruler body had any to begin with lol
Jeeze…. B*tchy much?
i agree
Er, the 2nd and 3rd pictures kind of offended me… (and I’m not one of those extreme-religious types.) But she’s a really great model with a good figure.
I will always love her figure, though her legs do look a little twiggy in some of these pictures.
This is disrespectful and disgusting. I’m an atheist and feel offended by this.
i agree. and as i said below…i hate the schoolgirl stereotype. to me, it is exploiting teens and their vulnerability in one of their most challenging times of development. i mean, when i was a teen i was extremely skanky in some ways! i thought i knew everything, thought i was mature…ended up regretting so many things i did. and people take advantage of that. its sick. and im not religious, or a prude. but it scares me
I think this photoshoot is great and I love the idea. I think Miranda does it really well too — she seems to be a better model than I gave her credit for. Only thing I’m not crazy about is the blond hair.
she looks sooo much like magdalena frackowiak in this, as well as the other high fashion stuff she’s done lately..
I agree! I love magdalena even though she is verrry skinny.
Now you say that, I can really see the resemblance! The only thing that sets them apart here is that Magdalena has a broader jawline than Miranda.
Oh, and coincidentally, Magdalena did a shoot exactly like this (with the Catholic nun theme) for Pop magazine fall 2009, except it was racier than this one.
umm the photograph with the nun is in terribly poor taste. she also reminds me of a sick cat, her face just looks odd imo.
for sure photoshopped for bigger boobs in the bare boob pic..Compare with the non-existent boobs in the 4th pic.
gross.
Aweful she should be ashamed of herself.
i dont like the blonde hair on her…the photoshoot in general is VERY photoshopped and very…tacky?! I really hate the cathlic schoolgirl sex bomb stereotype…to me, it seems really wrong. they are still kids for godsake! they are often not even fully developed until their 20′s…and so mentally and emotionally vulnerable…even tho they dont act like ir or realise it (not everyone, just saying a lot are and its natural, part of development)
hmm her face looks about the same in every picture
I like the make over for this shoot, it makes her look high fashion-ish
i think this shoot is very disrespectful, (also, on an appearance note, miranda doesnt look like herself at all!!! and i the photoshopped boobs in the last picture are way bigger than hers) but anyway, yeah i think its very disrespectful and offensive, like the whole school girl thing ok thats fine, but the two nun pictures are in my opinion disgusting and going too far. but as far as high fashion goes, i think as a model she did this shoot pretty well (even though she doesn’t look like herself)
The theme of this shoot is just wrong. Personally, I’m agnostic so normally religious jokes or insults don’t affect me but this is just plain demeaning – to Christianity and females who seek higher education and enlightment. But really, it’s just plain degrading to women in general. What I say may seem quite blown out of proportion but as a 16 year old girl from a Methodist school, I have to say that this is how I feel. The organisers and participants of this shoot should be ashamed of themselves.
I totally agree with you, but that’s how things are, it’s just to sell, Christians just have to get used to stuff like this… \:
(btw I’m Christian too:)
Thank you I feel better because im not the only one who thinks this is way wrong
Overrated
What a horrible photoshoot, I don’t like the theme and the pictures are way too photoshopped to look good.
And her legs are too sickly thin to look sexy or attractive.
The pictures are so intense and Kerr is absolutely unrecognizable ! Except maybe for her (incredible) legs ^^
Wow, she really looks amazing. Thus why she is such a great model. She just have the perfect body for these types of shots.
Her thighs look way thinner than they actually are, imo. And also I think that her natural brown hair brings out her eyes and really makes them sparkle, unlike the blonde. Hut I loooove herrr! She is an amazing model cuz these poses are not like her personality at all… Kinda like acting. Love her poses. But huh, don’t fly like the school girl thing, kinda… Weird.
This shoot is pretty offensive, and in poor taste for sure.
She looks like Diana Agron in some photos
Diana’s much prettier.
Come on people, don’t be all offended, it’s just a photo shoot. No photo shoot on earth would be able to please all of you, jesus.
She looks great, her legs are sexy and perfect, so is her body.
Weird because she’s so young looking.
Um guys this isn’t Miranda, its Magdalena Frackowiak!
It’ Miranda for sure – check the video:
http://www.fashionising.com/pictures/b–Miranda-Kerr-school-fetish-incarnate-video-4036.html#video
Ew the fifth picture her leg looks sick – it’s probably photoshop for sure but it looks deformed and really unnatural. Why do they do this?
I didn’t even regonize . her body looks great! She would totally be out of uniform in my highschool school I use to go to and subjected to a uniform slip. lol
I lovev that she is taking riskier directions in her career.
First of all, stop acting like this is a new fashion concept. Have you never looked at “W” before? High fashion magazines have ALWAYS done this, and if it offends you then you should lose interest in fashion asap cause it isn’t changing. Secondly, she’s wearing suggestive clothing. Get over it! She’s not pleasuring herself with a cross or having sex on a stack of bibles. Calm down.
Secondly, the first people to sexualize “school girls” were the school girls themselves. They raised their hems, rolled up their shirts and opened up a few more buttons than necessary. LONG BEFORE these magazines or images. They used an adult model, not one that looked like a child…they aren’t sexualizing childhood. Are there sexual undertones? Yes. Is it implied that she’s in a highschool? Yes. But for all you know her “character” is 18. Worry less about what the model is wearing and more about what your kid is.
Finally, to the person who said girls read Numero and idolize the models…I don’t know a single person under 24-25 who reads this magazine regularly, and I’ve worked in fashion for a while. This isn’t an easily accessible magazine like Vogue or Elle.
I really, really think people need to calm down. Fashion is art. It has ALWAYS been innapropriate and boundary pushing. The reason people buy a magazine like this is to be shocked. It’s okay to be offended and choose not to read the publication, but your overall reaction is incredibly infantile.
That being said, I think she looks fierce. This hair would not work in everyday life but it makes her MUCH more marketable for high fashion (especially in conjunction with the bleached brows). Her body looks stunning. Very slim but not alarmingly so. I think the orange PVC nun outfit is a bit garish, but I LOVE the stockings and all the shoes!
Thank you Lea. Such a reponse was very predictable.
I think those of us opposed to this shoot are well aware that this isn’t a new fashion concept and anyone that went to an all girls’ school in particular is well aware that young girls do a good job of sexualising themselves without any editorial reference.
‘Fashion is art. It has ALWAYS been innapropriate and boundary pushing’. Really? Thank you for this “new” piece of information, i’m sure that many of us that find these pictures distasteful feel so much better knowing that it is for such good cause (because surely there is a deeper meaning behind shoot and not just a high fashion shoot that is using religious controversy to its convenience).
Rave on, rave on.
I couldn’t agree more with you lea.
My response was actually directed at Lolita; I typed in your name Lea by accident.
Anyway, i’m just expressing my views. Everyone has something they feel strongly about. Come another topic you may find yourselves are the ones protesting strongly.
Yeah you are right. But I always feel like there are so many taboos and that wa can speak about nothing, especially not religion because people are not willing to take jokes on it.
But you are right, we all have opinions, and there are others subjects that are important to me;
If anybody understands sensitivity to religion and faith, it’s me. My father is a rabbi. And I never meant to imply that there was something wrong, per say, with your opinions. We all have them, as you stated, and we are all equally entitled to them. My statement was directed the infantile “shame on her!” and “I’m no longer a fan of hers”. It was a job, and in modeling you take what you are offered. And a lot of times you don’t even know the subject matter behind the shoot until you get there. If your angry with someone, be angry at the manager.
All I was trying to say was the fashion is art. And as you quite rudely pointed out, there’s nothing new or unknown about my stating that. But I felt if this was so wildly known then you’d know practically every piece of art offends someone and is evocative. It’s pretty much the goal. And I didn’t understand why anyone would look at a post from a notoriously evocative and brazen magazine and be shocked that it was, in fact, evocative and brazen.
That being said, I get where you are coming from (to a degree) and understand that Christianity and Catholicism is serious. But just as you expected such an answer from me, I expected the same kind of answers from you. I harbor no ill will and like I said before, I do see and appreciate your beliefs.
