Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week – Swim 2009

Since our previous “You want to see more models looking like… Left VS Right!” that featured 2 models with different body types was a hit, we figured that you need to see the whole bunch of models of (slightly) different body shapes and sizes from the same show.
And we’ve got plenty: athletic, a little curvy, skinny, super fit and toned, slim and lean, V shapes, hourglasses and pears, they’re all here!

She may not be a classic beauty or some designer’s dream, but I totally like her smile, her curly hairs and figure.

Clearly her sophisticated look and skinny figure make her a good choice for high fashion, but if I had the choice I go for a date with the surfer girl.
The other models? They are all lovely, there is no one, who needs force feeding. I’m suprised, that there are so many models with relativley big (=normal) waists.

i like the body in 55, and also her skin
My favourites (i.e. bodies I would love to have) are the blonde in the first photo, the girl in the front in the 32nd photo and my number one is the brunette in the 24th photo in a purple and white bikini. She’s so curvy and slim.
I think the model in picture 13 has an amazingly toned and super slim streamlined body. I would not choose it for myself, but it certainly grabs my attention.
I’m also surprised to see what looks like a half-Asian lady in there (picture 11). It’s rare enough to see Asians in the modelling world, let alone half-Asians.
Whoops, seems the coding is messed up. I assumed the numbers after 7199 were the numbers ordering the photos.
The ones I mentioned are 1, 31 and 23.
The slim model is in 5 and the half-Asian is in 3.
It’s refreshing to see models with normal bodies, some of them even have stretch marks or cellulite.
Model in pic n. 5 has the exact same body as me!
However if I had to choose another body shape I’d pick n. 45 or 53, both strong and toned and I also love their bikinis!
You’re so skinny then, why do you care about normal models? That’s one of the most typical models in the bunch! Good for you if you look like that
Good for me???? Well, not really….. I feel like an alien when I go to the beach but I don’t care too much because I avoid it as much as possible.
The real problem is with clothes: it’s so difficult to find something that looks good on me.
I have a toned butt but the rest is pretty flat…. so if I wear the wrong clothes I easily look like a “potato bag”. Figure-hugging clothes are my only solution, the problem is that they’re not appropriate for every occasion (I don’t want to look slutty at work!!!).
Sometimes it’s not very good to be me…. I’d rather have a normal body and spend less time in the changing rooms.
I have a very slender friend that complains about the same thing. People think that it’s only larger people that struggle with their weight, but there are women out there that are trying to gain weight/curves.
The same friend had a child and got even skinnier. She says it’s affected her relationship with her husband because she feels like she doesn’t look like a woman is suppose to look.
…so, I feel you.
I don’t know about you guys, i would love to have that skinny look on me. I don’t and not b/c i’m big or thick or very curvy, but b/c i have more muscle. And i know that trying to lose that will only damage me, but for as long as i remember i kind of wished to be skinnier and feminine in the same time.
I have to admit, that it’s really nice to see models with different bodies. It’s nice, to finally be able to relate to them.

No. 9!! Young, fresh, beautiful…Gorgeous face…But most of these models are looking great!
totally agree, imo no.9 is perfectly toned, not too toned so that she has really visible definition but toned enough to see shes tight and not wobbly! shes still feminine with little curves but she looks healthy which is the main thing
I don’t really like their faces but here is my top3:
-44 (HOT but needs to do some ab crunches)
-34 (A little too bony on the upper half but very impressive)
-30 (Nice but average ass)
I thought the 34th had a great body, thought I’m not really a fan of the horrible tan line.
If they’ve got models of all shapes and sizes on swimsuit runways, couldn’t they have a few fairer ones? Wouldn’t that promote, like, sun-safety, or something?
The model in 30 has a great body also, but I get distracted by her beautiful face.
They don’t really look like they have natural tans…so probably no sun damage there but I agree it would be nice if pale skinned women could be represented as well. I’m pale skinned an this message that seems to be conveyed alot that you have to be tanned to wear a bikini usually makes me feel very uncomfortable when I have to wear one, even though I love my pale skin the rest of the time.
I didn’t really mean specifically to them, more about the image of a tan. Like everybody who wants to look half-decent in a bikini NEEDS to have one and people sometimes get a bit rash to get them.
I have a friend that always sunbathes, even despite the skin cancer warnings, because she hates the idea of her tan being ‘fake’ or something.
She can’t be the only one, right?
Yeah she’s not, I know people who do that too. It’s stupid and I personally think that if you have to spend ages lying in the sun to get colour on your skin then it’s not really your natural skin colour anyway so why bother, it’ll only fade.
model 30 has a sweet face, but i actually find her body odd – there is something disturbing with her hipbones poking out that much at the same time, as her belly is quite round. is she waay skinny and pregnant? or just the posture and belly muscles poking out? anyways, generally speaking there’s quite a diversity in body shapes here, which is good. some of the girls even look “normal”
I love it, lots of healthy and slim ladies in all shapes and sizes. Nice to see some pear shaped ladies in there too, I always thought the fashion industry thought it wasa major flaw to have big hips…maybe times are changing.

Neah, i can’t choose, too many of thems, can’t remember. Very different body types indeed, i’ve seen some that kind of look like me, so i felt ok, but i still have skeletical arms, even next to them lol
This is refreshing, so many different body types displayed here, I’m stoked! I have not been able to look at them all and the website is running a little slow for me but I really like #34. Slim but athletic and toned. She also has very nice breasts and great skin. I will look more when I have more time.
I like #23 too! I like her small waist!
just after a quick scan, i really like model 59 a lot. very thin but her body (especially waist) has some curve to it, not straight up and down, and she has breasts but not ones that are too big for her small frame.
