How about lets not “hate” on any shape. It isn’t kind and it’s judgmental to do so. Sure, it’s fine and only natural to prefer something over another, but just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean its wrong or ugly. I like this forum for embracing all different shapes and sizes. Us women are SO hard on each other it’s ridiculous. We really need to learn to love and respect each other and have a respectful opinion, not a hurtful one. Most girls go for the jugular..and want to make other women feel self conscious in order to make them feel better.
Sorry, I’m not meaning to go on and on, but I thought it was something that needed to be said.
On that note, I am between and hour glass and pear shape. We all have something that we would like to change about ourselves, but at the end of the day, you can only try to be the healthiest and best you can be. That is beautiful! No matter what size, color, race, shape you are!

i hate those bandeau tops on women who aren’t flat chested! they are so unflattering. she needs something with some support.
exactly! boobs and bandeau do not go together; it makes it look like your boobs are not too many inches from touching the ground. one has to be completely flat for it to look decent.
Except small-breasted women can look even flatter in those, and more masculine. I don’t think anyone should feel the need to try and make their boobs always look bigger and body curvier, but i just think that bandeau tops are rarely good looking on anyone. Michelle looks nice and healthy still.

or perky.. ive seen bandeau tops on extremely perky breasted women and it looks great!

In some cultures, apple shapes are preferred on women over hourglass shapes. To those cultures, having an apple shape represent fertility, and other things associated with femininity.
That’s pretty interesting, considering that everyone talks about curvy women looking more fertile!
I think it’s because a lot of women develop their “curves” after puberty, so curves are associated with fertility.
Maybe women in those cultures develop apple shaped bodies after hitting puberty? I’m not sure why it’s like that but I do know that there are several cultures that have been studied where men said they preferred apple shapes because they were considered to be the ideal body for a woman.

what a trade-off. i would kill for this woman’s legs. they’re long and thin yet still soft and un-bony. on the other hand, i can honestly say that my torso looks a million times better than hers (i’m a pear.. duh).
i guess in the end, because i can’t be giselle and have both, i’ll have to be happy with what i got. too bad midriffs went out of style.
Bikini is not a good choice, but she has a nice body, especially since she is mother. Her legs are nice and toned.!

She has a nice body, but it would be better without that bikini. I hate bikinis that just make you look naked. I mean, I’m loving the naked girls but I’m not loving the unattractive this-is-what-i-look-like-naked look.

I hope all apple-shapes will see this and take note. You can have a beautiful body by taking care of it and being in shape. You don’t need to be an hourglass, or a pear, to be considered sexy.
As if men actually took that much notice to the exact proportions and size of a woman’s waist compared to her hips, the way us women do. The only time they seem to notice is if it’s a drastic ratio one way or the other.
Ok—I’m an apple shape and look great when I’m all toned and stuff but let’s face it, she had a child and that does a number to your body. ALSO—-her ex bf/fiance died (Heath Ledger for you idiots out there)–give her a break! You’re lucky she’s smiling these days! Quit hating on her for being a certain shape or for dressing a certain way! I wore a bikini when I went to Hawaii too—yes the top of hers isn’t flattering but it’s what she chose! -MOVE ON! No one threw a fit or criticized me when I was there, most of the people in Hawaii are actually interested in the scenery/waters/sand/sun/fun/drinks–etc instead of what other people look like in bikini’s. Everyone has a different shape and color, we’re all beautiful. As long as we make OURSELVES happy, who cares?

Y’know what I totally agree, but if she was three stone heavier- even if she was healthy and happy… I doubt people would be as nice about her. Besides, she’s had really positive comments so far.
