On feeling pressure about being thin for her role in Lipstick Jungle:
“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t. It was a dream to be able to step into couture clothing straight off the runway, but zipping into size 0 samples made me feel like I had to mold my body into a fashion ideal. I have scars from zippers cutting into me. There was no way I was going to starve myself. So I had to get up in the morning and work hard to tone up. As much as I loved the show, in some ways I was relieved when it was canceled. “

“Brooke and [Lipstick Jungle costar] Kim Raver are fans of my butt. I had a frightening thing happen last year when we were filming in New York City: I had a bunch of spider bites—three on each, um, cheek. I developed an extreme allergic reaction that made me break out in hives. So I sent an e-mail with a photo of what happened to Brooke and Kim. Instead of saying, “Oh my God, I hope you’re okay,” they said, “Oh my God, I would do anything for that butt!” That made me feel better, I have to say.”
I like her first comment, it seems sincere and I like that she says she’d be lying if she didn’t feel pressure to be thin–how many women would not feel some pressure to be thin if they were expected to fit into size 0 couture??
Holy **** she is so much skinnier than how I remember her on Beverly Hills 90210! I like her honesty though
i have much respect for her owning up to that fact. most celebrities brush it off and say they dont feel it but they know, subconsciously or not, the pressure is there and they feel it.
she does look a little too thin right now.
That quote from her was sincere and intelligent. I respect that she went the working out route rather than the starving herself route.
Regarding her weight, she is quite slim, but she looks like she has a smaller frame like many Asian women, so she does not look too thin. She looks healthy.
That’s scary since she looks so thin anyway! She would have looked entirely unhealthy if she had subjected herself to conform
I love her! She’s so exotic looking very beautiful!
She has her own unique look I haven’t seen anyone that looks
like her! And she’s lost weight but she’s still very healthy looking:)
