Meet Miss World 2009 – Miss Gibraltar Kaiane Aldorino

On a lazy Sunday, here’s another beauty queen for you all: Miss Gibraltar Kaiane Aldorino received the highly desirable Miss World 2009 crown yesterday at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
She is 23 and 5’8.5”.

Miss World is never going to be ”the most beautiful woman in the world”, rather the most beautiful who put themselves forward for the competition!
I don’t think she’s even that. Miss mexico standing next to her is stunning, more so than the winner.
Though its more of a mysterious classical beauty than the girl next door beauty that Miss world has.
I think she is beautiful. Not the most beautiful, but she’s not average either.
Also, Miss World is supposed to try to find the most beautiful woman in the world…on the inside and the outside. They look at poise and personality as well, so I’m sure she must have had good poise and personality since she won.

Ohhhhhhhh come on!!!!! english??? yes, Aldorino is a very english surname, totally, and brown skin, dark eyes, dark hair…sure.
You all speak with spanish accent, Andalusian accent to be more exact, and you definitely don’t look english. There are eglish people living in Gibraltar? Yes. But you people from Gibraltar who claim to be english are SPANISH, look like SPANISH, and talk like SPANISH. And besides all that, she doesn’t deserve to be Miss World, you can claim she is intelligent and whatever you want but i think the competition wasn’t about nuclear energy, maybe I’m wrong but it’s about beauty, and, by the way? Hasn’t UK sent 4 girls to the competitions when the rules says is 1 per each country???

originating from genoa italy. remember, gibraltar has 20% italians from genoa italy residing in gibraltar
1st of all spanish and italian people are much better looking than british people and kaiane is at least italian because of her last name and probably has spanish blood as well. anyway,
she is beautiful and seems like a very down to earth person who loves her family , friends and country. leave her alone
their were many lovely ladies in the pageant. but , knowone was any better looking than kaiane

Well, to be honest here, part of me said “wow” when I first saw these pics because she doesn’t fit the “normal standard” of beauty (she’s got a crooked, bigger nose, thin upper lip, huge gums…) and then I caught myself and realized that I have been brainwashed like the rest of the population.

Gorgeous figure and cute face. I’m thinking she perhaps has a special aura about her that cannot be captured in a photo. I’ve known women before who have been average or a little above average looks-wise, but they had this amazing aura about them. Something about the way they carried themselves, something about the way they felt that was sent out to the world… it was an intangible quality that drew everyone’s eyes to them and had people mesmerised. The thought wouldn’t have crossed your mind if you saw a picture of one of these women I’ve known, but they had everybody falling over each other to be their friends and boyfriends.

I am also a Gibraltarian, and I have seen her about many times, before all this & i have always thought that she had a special way of walking & stylish way of going about .
I don’t think she was picked just for beauty [ they know what they want !!]
she was picked for many reasons– for modesty [and she is!] for her perfect figure, for her casual way of doing things with her friends THERE–she comes from a friendly family too! and “my” she needs all this, much, as she is NOT rich– by far, she is a working girl trying to make something out of her life……
Imho she is cute. Far from what i see as beauty, but she is definitely not ugly. I however like the fact that this competition promotes diversity and does not fall into sterotypes and i’m sure they chose their winner on more than what she looks like in photos. As Ella says it is very possible that photos do not capture her essence. She seems a very warm and likeble person, with a huge and contageous smile. Sometimes, the most beautiful women cannot smile, cannot “share” this beauty. I just watched these pictures trying to decide whether i like her looks or not, and i realised she does have something very nice about her. And her figure, overall, is very balanced. Not skinny, but slim, toned but not overly so, very feminine. I also like Miss Mexico standing next to her better, but that’s just personal preference, i could definitely not call miss world ugly; however, discussions such as i dare you – impersonal – to post pictures because you don’t like her are just as uncalled for. I don’t understand why these topic become soooo personal. There isn’t one person out there that every other human being will agree that is beautiful. The beauty of beauty stands also in the fact that it is so subjective and sometimes so beyond our reasonable explanations.

For your info. she has an Italian name — from Genoa , from where most of us originate.
She has a German back ground [gran father ] she IS a 100% Gibraltarian– her accent is pure Gibraltarian and NOT from Andalusia!
We are a multi race people– mostly from Italy & Malta
WE have a perfect little country, without WARS or big problems like most country have –we have no unemployment we have one of the best health care in Europe – and the World too. AND i think, that YOU ARE a visious person full of that dark inside ,called ENVY…..

I’ll agree with most people here, she isn’t the “standard” of beauty. She isn’t hollywood beautiful (fake). I don’t know why noone here said she has an ED because she seems thin with a small chest.
But I think she has a very nice body and a pretty face.
