Kelly Osbourne to Christina Aguilera: ‘You’re fat!’

Here’s a little celebrity-attacks-celebrity story that involves a little unpleasant body-related name calling:
Kelly Osbourne has never been a fan of Christina Aguilera, but the 26-year-old took their feud to a new level during a recent episode of E!’s Fashion Police.
After Joan Rivers, 78, said Aguilera looked “stuffed into” a Givenchy LBD at an event in Munich, Germany last month (and likened her to “Snooki’s Scandinavian cousin”), Osbourne chimed in: “Maybe she is just becoming the fat bitch she was born to be. I don’t know. She was a c**t to me. And she bought my house!”
Osbourne’s digs at 30-year-old Aguilera’s fluctuating weight didn’t end there. “She called me fat for so many f***ing years,” Osbourne continued, “so you know what? F**k you! You’re fat too.”
What do you think of Kelly’s reaction? Justified or should have taken the classy road?

Apparently Kelly insulted Christina first…saying she wanted to stab herself when listening to her chrismas album on tv and other rude comments like “disgusting” Than Christina started insulting her back and the feud continued. Even after Christina tried confronting Kelly and fixing things.
Kelly just sounds like a spoiled brat that doesn’t like that fact that mommy and daddy sold her childhood home to someone who can sing better and at the time was “skinnier” and prettier than her.

Let me give you an example of class: when the media announced that Jesse James had cheated on Sandra Bullock, Jesse opened his big mouth about why he left Sandra and every other personal detail regarding his marriage to her. Did we hear from Sandra? Did she open up about her issues with her husband? No, she ignored it and moved on with her life. She didn’t take the bait and she’s regarded as one of the classiest women in Hollywood and is well liked. I admire that kind of person.

CA has probably been called a fat bitch by others and all Kelly Osbourne is doing is showing that she still gets to her after all this time. If anything CA is the one having the last laugh. Kelly Osbourne used to have a reputation for being a wannabe punk with a foul mouth whilst CA has always been famous for being a singing sensation. Now Osbourne has a new image and look and has overcome the past. If she sees CA going down why join her?
I agree taking the high road is a smarter move than fighting in public. But I definitely have known women who think they’re being “classy” when not saying what they think about you in your face, but then tell it to their entire group of friends.

Neither girl is slim by any stretch of the imagination. The thing about Christina that is annoying and I see other people, non celebs do it also, is that they are not small but they have BIG boobs (implants or real) and so they dress like they are thin…with very formfitting outfits etc, to accent the hooters and they just look fat. They aren’t fat, but by wearing clothing plastered to you to enhance the “girls”, you are drawing attention to every roll and non flattering thing about you. Nasty. Not a fan of either girl, but women are the harshest critics on other women. Men seriously do not care…

The ‘you’re fat, too’ comment basically to me is saying kelly knows she isn’t ‘skinny’ but that neither is christina. I don’t like christina. I prefer kelly, however rough around the edges she is. Girls and guys picked on me in school, I was the ugly tomboy. Now I’m the only one who has grown up to be beautiful. I am thin, in shape, eat healthy and look good now and they all look like crap! Spot on I get the feeling that many of comments suggesting Kelly take the high road or should have been classy have come from people that don’t always practice what they preach.
I’ve struggled with an eating disorder for a long time (10 yrs. and no more specifics than that) and I find myself sympathizing with Kelly. Having an ED doesn’t grant you a pass to be right about everything, but I think you can have a lot of sympathy while still feeling hostile. I try very hard to be positive and encourage those who I’ve come across in their struggles. It still doesn’t take away how hateful and cruel girls can be and I find myself wanting to take a jab at my old “attackers”. The anger never really has vanished. I just wish Kelly could see that she’s warring with herself because her jibes are probably falling on closed ears. Be happy pretty lady! The same for Christina too. I wish them both the best in overcoming their dark corners.
I find Kelly’s reaction unprofessional. You can’t get personal when you’re working, even if your job is to judge other people for what they are wearing. Either way – celebrity or anonymous person on the internet – we’re contributing to a culture which makes it okay to be so critical about other women’s bodies. I say ‘we’ since I’m just as responsible for it by visiting this site.
I honestly believe humans have been critical of bodies since we’ve had bodies to be critical about. I don’t think without internet or sites like svc that this nit-picking would cease to exist. I think this may just bring a forum that draws it out more into the public view and we recognize it, but even without it we’d still have people in like at the supermarket thinking ‘my god, so and so has fat ‘insert body part here” or ‘oh I’m so jealous of so and sos ‘insert body part here.” Maybe we’re not proud of these thoughts, especially the mean spirited ones, but they are still part of our world and have been since, imo we were able to think them consciously.

22 years old is not a kid and is not an age that you can use to excuse someone’s bad behaviour.
Of course not. But when I’m 31 (I’m 21 now) I wouldn’t think it reasonable or deserved for someone to throw me under the bus for something I did 10 years ago, provided that it wasn’t some huge crime and/or act of violence. Especially when I’ve moved on with my own life and have more or less been a productive member of society.

yes, both women are extremely low-brow and offensive. But, this should also be a lesson to those who make fun of overweight people and call them disgusting and other nasty words! You never know where life will take you and how you will end up. Christina was always slim, but obviously gained a lot of weight due to her divorce and possibly other stressors…I doubt she anticipated every being a curvier woman, which is why she thought it as permissible to make fun of people who struggle with their weight.

I actually like Kelly even if she is only famous for being a rock offspring. She’s actually very involved in fashion and I find her quite fashionable, I think she should design a clothing line. I love her style and I almost always agree with her comments on fashion police.
As far as the feud with Christina, I’ve observed Kelly really hold back in the past when confronted with one of Christina’s horrid outfit choices, not wanting to sound like the dislike for the fashion aspect is just a personal attack because of their notorious feud. I think her recent comment is funny, and I think it was in a more comedic tone given the show, then it appears in print.
Either way, good for her. It’s okay to stand up for yourself, even if that sometimes means being uncouth.

People are overreacting. Kelly has every right to make comments if she wants. I personally wouldn’t because I’m more of a private and reserved person, but I’m sure many people here bashing Kelly would make comments, too. The only reason this made headlines is because Kelly and Christina are famous, but what about non famous people who have twitter fights? I witness it happening on an almost daily basis. Kelly may be famous for being famous, but Christina is famous for being famous at this point, too. She hasn’t done anything successful since her back to basics album. She’s more known for her personal drama now than her “talent”. Besides, aside from her voice, I wouldn’t call her talented at all. Her voice doesn’t even match her music. She takes herself too seriously, she sings like she’s an opera singer in simple songs that do not require such a strong voice. When she sings, she vocalizes excessively to show off her “skills”, but it ruins most of the songs. She doesn’t write her music, she didn’t create her “image”, and nothing she has done is original. Who cares if someone has an amazing voice if they have several producers and song writers putting their CD together? Its not her work. As much as I dislike Lady Gaga, at least she WRITES her music and she created her own image. Christina Aguilera is just a puppet, just like Britney Spears is. They both started off as generic bubble gum popstars, and their music and images both evolved to keep up with current trends.

People, chill. That comment by Kelly was made on Fashion Police — a show where over-the-top to the point of cruel jokes are made (all in jest though). It’s meant to be a catty, snarky commentary on celebrities’ appearances but it’s all tounge in cheek humor. I am not a fan of Kelly but she was making an (exaggerated) point to the effect of ‘what goes around comes around’. Just shows that bullies often pick on someone for something they themselves are insecure about (for Christina, weight. I think it’s always been a struggle for her…she used to be super thin but had never been able to get back to that). Oh and I wish everyone would stop saying it was an un-classy/un-ladylike move…ladies can be feisty and speak their mind too. You don’t need to be a docile lamb. They’ve both been taking VERY public digs at each other for years. Christina threw darts at a cut out of Kelly a few years back, and absolutely refused to be on the red carpet at the same time as her. Seems to me this isn’t anything knew. And for everyone who seems to have missed the comment in its entirety, it seems to me that Kelly isn’t saying “haha, now I’m thin and you’re fat”, but “haha, no we’re both fat.” Not saying its a sweet thing to say, but I’m not going to judge considering I don’t know all of the bad blood between them.
I do know that if someone teased me for being fat, and ended up fat themselves, I’d probably comment on it with a smile. Fear that karmactic kickback.

To all these people saying that Kelly has a right to defend herself, I can only reply with this: There is a way to show that you’re a strong person, that you’re not a doormat and that you’re not going to take nonsense. What Kelly obviously doesn’t realise is that throwing insults back at the person who wronged her in the past is not the way to do it. It’s only going to start another immature catfight. Ugh, I don’t even know why I’m commenting on this, as I find the whole thing petty and I don’t like either Kelly or Christina much. I love that Kelly played the victim when on her reality show she was very vocal about calling Christina a Whore, or a Clown or any number of things. It was only after all this that Christina hit back. Not to mention this was 8 years ago and Kelly hasn’t stopped bad mouthing Christina while Christina hasn’t said a damn thing to her since.

I’ve always admired women who were in control of their emotions and words. When I was younger I was ruled by my emotions but getting older I’ve realized that sometimes you just have to walk away. Let people say what they want to say. Be the bigger person and show them that they have no control over your feelings.
Personally I find it harder to not say anything back. I’ve had girls say things straight to my face and as much as I’ve wanted to say crude things back, I’ve learned to put a big smile on my face, thank them for their kind words and walk away. Kelly should have just let it go and went about her business.

Kelly sounds extremely pathetic. She knows how hurtful it is to be criticized about your weight, so why is she doing it? What Christina said happened years ago, so why is bringing it up? And if I recall right, Kelly “got her back” various times at the time.
