Kelly Rowland Cut Sugar & Lost Weight
June 2, 2010 in Celebrity Quotes by Versus

‘I’m telling you, I’m not eating sugar. I didn’t even try to lose weight.
‘I read this book, called You Are What You Eat. The author [Gillian McKeith] is talking about sugar, she’s talking about meat, she’s talking about cheese.
‘I did some of those things for a month, but for the most part, it is just sugar that is gone from my diet.’
… says Kelly while showing off her great bikini figure in Miami.
See some more after the jump!

she looks so hot! toned and curvy and so lean and statuesque. i think i may have to cut me some sugar out of my diet too
Wow, her bilateral line is like BAM!
What is a bilateral line?
It’s the line that runs from her navel to her sternum.
She looks so good it’s not even fair.
i should try to cut back on the sugar so i could lose weight too. c”,) hehe
She was ever fat? I don’t think i’ve ever seen her fat so hard to believe this crap. Oh and losing 10 pounds isn’t really that much of an accomplishment
As for her, she looks amazing as always!
she’s soooooo pretty and underrated!
Yeah, underrated. Idk why Beyonce gets all the attention…
i was thinking the same thing, she’s always been really fit! but i guess there’s always room for improvement?
10 pounds would be a perfect accomplishment for me…especially from my lower me
That is true! We put too much sugar in our bodies and it comes from the most surprising aliments: white bread, white pasta/rice, breakfast cereal, protein bars and so on… All we need to do is look for the least amount of sugar in the composition of for fructose (which is the natural sugar found in fruits)… or no sugar, of course.
wow!! she looks great!! i wonder what shape she is…is she a pear?
She looks like a mix of vase and pear.
she’s a pear since those titties are fake
WOW, she looks so great! me too I have read that book, that’s true what she said!
Yep, I think she is a a slender pear shape, kind of like Rihanna. Especially when you take into account her boob job.
I think she looks lovely: curvy, toned, healthy, and beautiful skin color too. She gleams so nicely!
Fit and feminine! Awesome combo.
agreed!
ha ha ha gillian mckeith. don’t americans know who she is?
haha, was thinking the same thing
Thats a really good book she is talking about, gillian mckeith is great
, Kelly looks stunning, her skin tone is beautiful and her body is perfection, saw these pics on another site, but she still impresses me a second time looking
huh? don´t believe it. She´s always been thin. In destiny´s child she was tiiiiny
Yes, while I’m sure cutting out sugar has helped her lose a few lbs she was always SUPER tiny!
It’s not that hard to drop a few when you’re naturally built like that and/or have a fast metabolism
Well to be fair. She was younger when she was in destiny’s child, she’s nearing the 30 now so her metabolism may not work as fast as it used to. I don’t know about her popularity, I’m not from the USA, but destiny”s child was huge. I don;t think she is performing as much shows as she did with destiny’s child or doing that hardcore dance moves she did with them.
That’s a weird quote…seeing as it looks like she’s gained weight over the years. She used to be really really skinny.
agree

Kelly has always been my favourite member of DC, but man was she blocked by Beyonce. I must say though, I never new she had such a banging body. She looks great, clearly defined waist, some hip action and nicely toned. Go Kelly!
oooooh she is thick!! I love her skin, muscle tone, thighs n hips — LOVE IT! … but, don’t think turquoise is her color… she should go for orange or yellow.
i started cutting sugar by lowering my carb intake and not eating junk food and ive went from 114lbs to 109lbs in five days. it really does work and the weight mainly goes from your stomach. its just hard to stop the cravings!!!
My mom is a huge fan of that book!
It’s about being healthy, not being thin.
Awesome body!!
Haha, Gillian McKeith. I love watching her show, and am amazed by the amount of people who are actually clueless about nutrition. All she does is talk common sense.
her abs do look awesome. great abs are made in the kitchen! thighs are nothing to covet, and she has admitted to breast implants so we know those are fake. so truly she is a pear, b/c she was really naturally flat chested. she looks happy and healthy and cutting out sugar never hurt. go kelly!
Tks for sharing!
I think weight loss and fitness always boil down to 2 things: 1) Metabolism and 2) Nutrition.
Metabolism: You worked to expend the excess calories so that they do not turn into fats. To do that, either you create a calories deficit or you increase your calories usage.
For most cutting calories (aka reduce portion size) is easier but not everyone can withstand the hunger pangs. That’s when a hoodia gordonii supplement can be useful as it make your brain think you are full so that you won’t feel lethargic or cranky.
For those who prefer to exercise, you should focus on weight training and high intensity interval training like wind sprinting. Forget about cardio.
Nutrition: First thing is to get the habit of reading labels. If you see anything that says high fructose corn syrup, trans fat, hydrogenated or partial hydrogenated oil, put it back.
Next understand that you need to eat a balance meal, and not follow a fad diet. One that contains carbohydrates, protein and fat.
Opt for unprocessed carbs and when possible, it’s better to take fruits (not fruit juice) and vegetables. Technically speaking, fruit and vegetables are less calories dense. Good for losing weight.
Get your plant protein from beans, legumes, and nuts, while animal protein, eat free-range and/or organic meats.
Get this straight, we need fat. And the right kind of fats would make you fat. What we need is natural fats from fishes like salmon and tout or fruits like avocado.
When you need oil, use coconut oils and pure virgin olive oils.
By the way, for the ladies and gentlemen out there, avoid soy based products and beer.
Guys, soy and beer (contains estrogenic compounds) cause fats to accumulate on your chest. So unless you are interest to grow boobs continue eating.
Ladies, one of the reasons why your stubborn belly fat never go away could be due to your high intake of soy based product and beer.
Oops, I blah too much on a blog post! That’s it.
I’m sorry, I have to reply. I am all for a balanced diet, I agree with most that you said.
BUT, what do you mean “forget cardio”?!?! I love interval training, it’s the best for toning up and shaping those problem areas the way you want them. But just as with food, your workout should be balanced as well (a little bit of everything). Cardio is the best for heart health and has the highest rate of burning the fat in your body. Too much weight training can cause to build bulk muscles and women don’t like that. Yes, you do need it, because you need muscles for an accelerated metabolism. However, you should always start with cardio and then the rest, as you get better results if you first burn the fat, then shape and tone.
Second, you sound like those advertisements saying that eating a certain food will target belly fat. That’s all rubbish! Where fat goes on your body, as well as where it goes from first, is determined genetically. If eating a certain food (or not eating it), will indeed trigger fat burning, it will do so from all around your body, not just a certain area.
PS: wind sprinting sounds like cardio to me (maybe it’s just a misunderstanding of word definition over there)
Damn, she makes me feel so terrible; terrible because with my body type, I know I could look like that with a few rounds to the gym …
Aww she’s looks so good!!
I tried the whole cutting sugar thing…didn’t stick, I failed…epically :’) ahh well, i’ve decided…I’ll look good NEXT year
lol x
Sugar is delicious.
She looks good; very toned yet still soft enough to be feminine. Her WHR is better from the side view than the front, though, which is the case for most black women.
