Ivanka Trump: “I drink almost no water”
May 17, 2010 in Celebrity Quotes by Versus

Ivanka Trump recently opened up about her eating habits – let’s hear her out:
“Discipline in what I eat is my biggest diet challenge. I know I don’t eat enough salads and things like that.”
“My friends would say I don’t hold back. I constantly rely on the fact that I’m 28 years old, and I just hope that my metabolism stays with me for a few more years, at which point I’ll have to start limiting these things a little bit.”
“I drink almost no water, which is very bad for me. It’s not particularly good. When I do drink water, I drink sparkling water, which I’m not sure is quite as healthy. I drink a lot of tomato juice. My diet is very sodium-heavy, which I’ve been told, but I enjoy tomato juice and pretty much that’s it.”
… says Ivanka.

no water and so beautiful skin…?
she’s gorgeous. either she’s lucky or lying.
Sparkling water is water!
Yeah, but you end up drinking less, because the gas stuffs you. =/
Ha! We have similar habits. I’ve got great skin (dry in the winter) and I don’t drink much water. It’s the worst. I have to FORCE myself to. My skin looks more radiant when I do drink water, plus I have energy. I’ve been known to wake up and realize I only drank coffee the day before. I also love salty foods…when I’m good about drinking water I’m actually slimmer. I think I’m constantly bloated bc of my water/salt habits.
Yeah, water is good for relieving bloating (as is peppermint tea). I actually have the opposite problem and don’t get enough salt and drink too much water, so get really bad muscle cramp. Guess there are the good and bad of both, eh?
hmm, I actually drink waaay too much water and waaay to much salt, which is not good either :/
she’s so gorgeous!
how much do you think she weighs??
sounds like she’s really healthy.
lol
Good comment. I hate how some celebrities are like I drink six liters of water a day. Must be to fill you up or something. Drinking too much water is overrated.
hell yeah it is
I agree. Drinking too much can be bad for you too. I also think the idea that every single person should drink the same amount per day does not make sense. People come in different sizes and surely a very tall person who weighs 200lbs is not going to be drinking the same amount as a very short person who weighs half as much.
She sounds believeable. I try to be healthy too but I’m not 100% with it and don’t care to be. She probably should cut down the sodium at least, but the amazing thing is that the body forgives and forgets, as long as you don’t overdo it. So if you have the metabolism for it, chances are the not-perfectly-healthy habits won’t damage you that much unless you’re overdoing them.
I do like to drink lots of water. Makes me feel better in a number of ways.
At least she’s getting her veggies.
How can her skin be that gorgeous if she doesn’t drink water?? I always think of water as such a diet staple. I’m shocked to hear that Ivanka’s not into it. But whatever she’s doing is working!
i used to despise plain water and did not drink it, no exageration, for about 4 years. maybe a cup in a restaurant that came with my meal but besides that never. and i always had great skin with virtually no breakouts. just recently my boyfriend forced me into it and i started drinking it rather often and dont really see any changes.. i think its good to drink it but to say it does magical things is overrated. also people think it will make you lose weight but it wont, it will just fill up the space in your stomach that otherwise you would fill with food. just my share on the subject!
how do you hydrate after you excercise? after i do i do cardio i have to have it
yeah i don’t drink water really either. i have to force it down. it sucks. guess some people just don’t crave it.
i never naturally want water. im doing it lately and im yet to see its magical powers lol
i trust her actually, i don’t drink water either, sometimes glass of sparkling one and i have very good skin and 33 years of age. it is possible, some bodies (can)work that way i guess
there is no medical evidence to support the beauty industries obsession with water. another myth to add to the pile. we also get water through our food, and there is evidence to suggest that we absorb it better this way.
Yup, I used to be that way too, at her age. Now I’m 44 and sister, it’s a whole new ballgame. Enjoy it while you can, because it definitely doesn’t last forever.
Basically I agree with the general consensus I almost never drink water and have verrryy clear skin however I stay away from the soda and plan to get a juicer. However when I do drink water I feel twenty times better and do eat less. Thus your skin looks more radiant and your cellulite looks a lot less noticeable.
Tomatoes and tomato juice are PACKED with good vitamins and anti-oxidants… She sounds pretty normal to me, with good genes. I’ve tried to drink the 8 glasses a day but personally never saw much changes in skin or energy levels after a few months so now I just drink anything and just when I’m thirsty.
I’ve read conflicting research about the subject though – some say u only need to drink when you’re thirsty and as long as it’s liquid (i.e. water in fruit, soup, regular food), it counts towards the required 8 glasses. Others say you need the two liters of pure water each day…. dam scientists can’t make up their minds! lol
huh… well then she must have good genes.
I’ve always thought she was fabulous!!
I recently started drinking water, going from 1-2 glasses a day, to about 10 big ones! So hard. I was runnign to the bathroom every hour haha.
But now my body is getting used to the extra liquid and my skin has cleared up!
Drinking water is good for anyone of course. And it is some kind of overrated, I guess not without small help of battling corporations.
She is gorgeous woman though! Maybe you are right and it is her young age is working for her.
I don’t drink much water either and people always comment on how great my skin looks. I think drinking water to give you good skin is a myth. It’s mostly genetics and avoiding bad things like tanning and smoking. I’m going to stick with diet coke!
oh it’s definitely overrated!
I’ve been drinking about 2-3L every day for 2 months and like I said, my skin cleared up but that’s it.. I don’t feel or see any difference otherwise .
i just dont understand how you can not like water, it has no taste what so ever, its so pure and refreshing, i just dont get it!
She’s just like my mom. I, on the other hand, drink loads of liquids because I just need them and my skin is good. I do think that what you eat may have plenty more to do with how your skin looks. I’ve cut out sweets and fried foods aswell as going without meat/eggs/dairy for the summer and a couple of weeks in and my skin looks absolutely amazing – like porcelain.
