Former plus-size, current not-really-plus-size model Crystal Renn (who is now a size 8-10) opened up about her recent (major) weight loss. We’ve got the details from Daily Mail:
She shot to fame as one of the world’s most famous plus-size models. But last night Crystal Renn admitted that she is now no bigger than a U.S. Size 8-10 (UK Size 12-14). The 24-year-old Chanel model, who was previously a UK Size 16, said that she finally felt ready to exercise for the first time since her teens, when she suffered from an eating disorder and became addicted to working out for up to eight hours a day. She revealed that a difficult break-up had contributed to her decision to embrace a more healthy lifestyle, and a combination of hiking and yoga had helped the weight drop off.
She told NY Magazine: ‘In the past, I avoided exercise because it brought back terrible feelings. I wasn’t ready. And I was scared that maybe I was going to be addicted again. That’s a fear that goes through your mind, whenever you’re getting over an addiction or a disease like anorexia, yeah, I absolutely was worried. But then I guess you could say my life changed in a really drastic way. For one, there was a split-up that I went through that was very difficult, and I thought, “You know what? I need to be in a good place. I need to find me again.”’
I went backpacking for three weeks and I came back and I had lost some weight. And basically I’ve been traveling ever since. This is just how my body is now… It’s been strange, actually, because it’s not something I’ve been trying to do,’ she admitted. She added that her current routine was far from rigorous: ‘I think I probably have a good relationship with the exercise that I do do,’ she said. ‘I’m taking care. I’m just in a really good place. I do hiking. I do yoga, but nothing crazy, just in my house. It brings me peace.’

WCurve plus-size model Robyn Lawley is featured in the November issue of Australian Cosmopolitan Magazine – this number has the tagline ‘Sexy At Any Size’, which is why plus-size models were included in the pages next to the straight size ones. Robyn is rocking a wide range of one and two-piece swimsuits in this shoot… and here are her thoughts on the experience:
The greatest thing about the shoot was getting treated exactly like the other model and not just in the way of how the crew was (crew were too much fun :p) but in the way that the swimwear was just as glorious as what the straight size model wore, which is extremely rare in plus size. I absolutely love the spread and I am very proud of what we achieved. I’m so happy that more and more of this kind of editorial opportunities are happening and that more kinds of different models are now used to showcase all type of clothes.
