Losing the baby weight is one thing – but keeping it off in preparation for the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is another for model mom Alessandra Ambrosio.

“Last year, because I had a baby and I had to lose pounds, I did a lot of cardio,” Ambrosio, 28, told PEOPLE at Thursday’s Los Premios MTV 2009 in Universal City, Calif. “This year is all about weights, squats and lunges.”

Ambrosio, a Victoria’s Secret model, gave birth to a baby girl, Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur, in August 2008. Less than four months later, she hit the runway for Victoria’s Secret, showing off a stellar post-baby body.

“After I gave birth, my diet was a very healthy diet, like no sugar, no bread,” she says. “But now, I am just eating whatever.”

The solution? “I’m working out to prepare for the show because it’s our biggest show of the year,” she says. “I’m trying to work out four days a week.”

Here’s petite mommy Nicole Richie, rocking a smokey eye and a long dress at Noble Awards this weekend.

As for her post-baby figure…

Nicole Richie is so determined to shift her post-pregnancy pounds, she’s turned to Halle Berry for inspiration!

The former Simple Life star — who gave birth to her second child, son Sparrow, earlier this month — reportedly keeps a photo of Berry pinned up in her kitchen.

Nicole apparently admires Halle for regaining her fabulous figure less than a month after giving birth to daughter Nahla in March 2008.

“Nicole would look at Halle’s photo and see how she was able to get her figure back in a matter of weeks and use that as an incentive,” a source told Australia’s NW magazine, adding that with Halle’s help, plus a sensible eating plan, Nicole has shed nine kilos since her son was born on September 9.

Well, Halle does look fabulous!

People Magazine reports:

Sure, Heidi Klum knows what to do to get back in to shape fast after having a baby. She even walked the runway for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show less than two months after having son Henry in 2005.

But this year, the supermodel told PEOPLE last month, she’s taking it easy.

“I don’t know if I’m going to try to get ready for the show,” Klum, 36, told PEOPLE before the arrival of her and husband Seal’s daughter Lou on Sept. 9 (actually, it’s October). “I’m going to totally play it by ear and see what happens.”

The supermodel, who said she continued eating a clean diet light on carbs throughout her pregnancy, joins fellow Victoria’s Secret angels Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima, who are also expecting, on the sidelines this year. The show takes place in New York City in November.

And though she has been known to turn it around quickly, even putting in twice daily workouts with trainer David Kirsch to lose the weight in 2005, Klum says there’s no pressure to get ready this time around.

“[Victoria's Secret] knows that it’s very close after [my due date], and they are not putting any pressure on me, and I’m not putting any pressure on myself!” she said. “It’s not a lot of time [to get back in shape]. I think I’m going to take it a little bit easy.”

 

Good for her, sounds like a healthy attitude!

Instead, Jennifer opted for an all-white look with large pants and turquoise accents.
