Skinny VS Curvy

A while back, Kelly Osbourne called Christina Aguilera ‘fat’. Well, Christina has been losing weight lately and today, Kelly is back with a much kinder remark – the story from Radar:

From foe to friend? After years of publically feuding with Christina Aguilera, Kelly Osbourne is calling a truce – sort of! During a Plead the Fifth segment on Watch What Happens Live, the Fashion Police host was forced to say three nice things about her rival – and she did.

“You and my girl Christina Aguilera have been in something of a feud,” host Andy Cohen quipped. “Say three nice things about Christina Aguilera.”

“I think she’s looking way better right now, she’s got a great voice and she’s got a beautiful son,” Kelly responded with a straight face.

We all noticed that Chritsina Aguilera gained some weight this past year and it seems that gossip magazines love to speculate on her weight – Star Magazine claims that the singer gained no less than 65 pounds (see cover above):

Star – Sources claim Christina Aguilera is “out of control.” She is “getting wasted a lot and just embarrassing herself.” Among her offenses: She “goes days without ever getting out of bed. She’ll have food brought to her, and she even drinks in bed too!”

Another source says: “Her dressing room is always littered with wine bottles.” And yeah, some stuff is not so nice, like how she left her son, Max, on his fourth birthday, to go get drunk. She and boyfriend Matt (who is “just in it for the ride”) went to dinner, where they had a few rounds of sake, and then to a club, where they ordered bathtub loads of vodka and cranberry and partied until last call.

But even more important than drowning her sorrows in booze is Christina’s weight, amirite? That’s why the mag offers a sidebar called “packing on the pounds.” Contrasting photos from Xtina’s “Genie In A Bottle” and “Dirrty” days — 1999 and 2002 — with current photos, as though any of us weighed the same at 18 years old as we do (or did) at 31.

Christina Aguilera recently told us that she loves her figure and so does her boyfriend – and she’s back today with more thoughts on body image:

On her weight gain: Lately, she’s been subjected to cruel tabloid headlines about her fluctuating weight. (“I was never that fat,” crowed Kelly Osbourne on E! Fashion Police.) Aguilera’s response, she says, is to ignore the static. “I’ve been through my highs, I’ve been through my lows; I’ve been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger. I’ve been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. It’s noise I block out automatically.

She’s confident in her skin: “I have certain physical features that I favor over others. We all have our areas,” she says. “When I worked on Burlesque, I lost so much weight that I was too skinny (see picture below). I don’t weigh myself — it’s all about how I feel in my clothes. What looks good on one person might not look good on another body type. I happen to be very confident in my own skin. It takes time to get to that place, but it’s all about embracing yourself and your body.”
