Yes Model Management says that supermodel and “Angel” Doutzen Kroes is a size 4 or 6. I am always PRO diversity, so I am really happy to see that there is at least ONE runway model out there who wears a size 6 (even if just occasionally). A successful model, since she was number 5 in Forbes’ Highest Paid Models in 2008 Top (in case you’re wondering, the first 4 were Gisele, Kate, Heidi and Adriana).

But wearing a size 6 also has a downside in the fashion industry – because a while back, Gucci basically rejected Doutzen for being… you guessed, “too fat”. Very, very sad. Doutzen’s words:

“I like the Versace show best so far. The collection is really beautiful and at Versace femininity is important. Feminine shapes are allowed. In contrary to Gucci where I got rejected because I was too fat! Gucci likes slim girls only.”

2 things are majorly wrong in Doutzen’s statement (but she’s so not the one to blame): 1. “Feminine shapes are allowed”, like they are some sort of sin and 2. “Slim girls only”… coming from the stunning slim girl in the above pictures.

Wow, “Jessica Gained Weight” appears to be the story of the week! More and more rumours and responses are surfacing – here are 2 different versions:

OK! Magazine:

Indeed, the singer sent a statement to critics: She loves her curves! “I’m not fat,” Jess recently confessed to a pal. “Going from a size 2 to a size 8, that’s not fat. If I weren’t Jessica Simpson, no one would care.”

Jessica’s confidence no doubt comes from her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo, 28. “He thinks Jess is hot no matter what,” a friend of the singer tells OK!. “He wants to date a girl who can have a few beers, ribs, fries and dessert.

And it seems Jessica is more than happy to indulge Romo’s wishes. “She’s not willing to trade having fun with Tony with being a size 2,” the friend says. “She doesn’t want to have people focus only on her looks.”

MSNBC:

“She’s loving it,” said a source close to Simpson, who suspects her weight gain is strategic. “It will probably get her back on covers right when she is a ‘supporting’ act on tour. I bet Joe (Simpson) has already sold the weight-loss story.”

Despite the benefits of once again being a newsstand success, Simpson’s rep says rumors that dad is shopping around the story are “entirely untrue.”

And the Victoria’s Secret Angels in a Bikini series continues (even more than I had imagined)!

This episode features 27 year-old Alessandra Ambrosio, whose body is particularly incredible, considering that she gave birth exactly 5 months ago.

Now Magazine reports that Cheryl Cole is planning on gaining weight for Girls Aloud’s upcomming tour:

The singer-turned X Factor judge – who was recently criticized for her skeletal appearance – has hired a personal trainer and is seeking advice on her diet so that she can regain her curves. A source tells Britain’s Now magazine, “Cheryl knows that she looks too thin and wants to get in the best shape possible.

“She’s a size 6 (UK) at the moment, but aims to a size 8-10 and weigh around 8st (112 lbs.), which is healthy for her 5ft 3in frame. She struggles with her weight, but with help from her trainers, she hopes to get it under control. She wants to bulk up sensibly, so she’ll be eating lots of complex carbohydrates such as potatoes, wholemeal bread, pulse and rice.

So this means that she’s around 105 pounds now, since she plans on gaining around 7 lbs.
