I wonder what made all these celebrities wear little black dresses at Spike TV’s Scream Awards. With or without cleavage, plain or accessorized, short, midi or long, it’s official: the black dress was the hit of the night.

3 is already a crowd, but wait and see (in the following posts) a wide range of celebs that proved, once again, that cocktail-type black dresses fit any body shape, type and size!

First stop:  Winona Ryder, Neve Campbell and Alexa Vega! Who looked best?

Dear Jessica,

I see that you insist on wearing clothes that do not flatter your shape – either that, or you are very fond of yo-yo-ing and gain and lose loads in a matter of days – I highly doubt that, so I stick with my theory that, in your case (or, more precisely, in your body shape’s case), the clothes you choose are highly relevant.

Why isn’t this outfit perfect? Firstly, you look great in shorts – just not the ones that might reveal your butt when you barely bend. Secondly, gotta work on creating a waist. Therefore, adding layers in the middle area or items that have the potential to look baloonish when associated with your impressive boobs is not recommended.

I mean, I say all these cause you looked so super pretty here. Bring back the A-line dresses, the V necks, the fitted clothes, the tight jeans and long T-shirts!

So I guess it’s settled that Lauren really likes leggings and skinny jeans. But wait – not any kind of leggings: shiny ones! I know what you’re thinking: Not the easiest item to pull off.

No no, I’m not referring to their bodies, but to their fitted, respectively puffy white dresses.

Which type of dress do you find more flattering?

The fitted dresses define your figure nicely, but they can reveal any minor flaws (lumps, bellies, bumps, rolls). Lucky Kate, she’s flaws-free.

The puffy dresses can make you look… a little puffy, but they can also hide all the imperfections (lumps, bellies, bumps, rolls) successfully.

So, what can we say?

1. Jennifer is into purple mixed with black.

2. And likes shiny textures.

3. While the outfits aren’t actual disasters, Jennifer could compliment her body shape even better with smarter cuts (that accentuate the waist and the bust and create a fluid effect on the bottom half).
