Cameron Diaz Wants a Curvier Figure

Cameron Diaz is no stranger to plastic surgery.
She had her nose fixed (after breaking it four times!) following a 2006 surfing accident. “S*** just finds my face — it’s crazy!” she tells July’s Marie Claire (on newsstands June 9).
But the 36-year-old actress says more radical forms of surgery are likely out of the question.
“I’d love a bigger butt, more meat on my bones,” she tells the magazine. “I’d love to be more voluptuous. It’s just not my body type.”

Love her! She’s gorgeous and if I remember correctly she looked curvy in “The Mask” when it first came out. She’s athletic which I admire.
I’d want a perfect body too, we do the best with what we have, hopefully without any surgery. Although I well understand wanting to fix a broken nose, hasn’t happened to me but has to folks I’ve known.
I like it when people understand body types. It’s nice that she gets that she’ll never look like Scarlett Johansen just like Scarlett could never look like Camron. If people would just accept their body types an work on trying to make it the best it can be for THEM they’d be a lot happier. She seems to have a nice outlook on life.

All the celebs say this! Something tells me they don’t actually mean it, though. But she looks cute the way she is.
I m sick of celebrities saying this. We all know that they are starving, trying every diet there is out there, taking diet pills and exercise like crazy. So please dont tell me that you dont like to be that thin.

Eating more doesn’t automatically make you curvy/curvier though, it’s to do with body shape and I think she’s right, she doesn’t look like she has the right shape for that judging by her bum and hips.
Yes, genetics usually wins out. Eating more will just put on weight, not necessarily curves. And I’m not sure that Cameron would put on weight. This is clearly her body type.
I think she has an athletic/slim body type, too, but I think it’s B.S. that her body is naturally as thin as its been in recent years.
Remember her in “The Mask” or “My Best Friend’s Wedding” – or even “There’s Something About Mary”?
She was still slim but thicker and healthier looking, IMHO.

It’s true that she will never be curvy. Yes, she was softer and fuller in The Mask, but not curvy. She is more of a V or lollipop shape as she has never had full hips. You can’t grow hips. Not that there is anything wrong with that because those sorts of shapes are very popular: Angelina Jolie is one of them. Even Jessica Rabbit was drawn with that body type.
I have no idea if celebs really mean it or not when they say these things because I don’t know them. I am sure the pressure to be slim is great, but I also still believe there is pressure to be curvy too. Not in the sense that one just lets go and is whatever shape one is meant to be, but pressure to have that classic hourglass body with a minuscule waist. I’ve known both and it seems to me a number of them are always thinking the grass is greener on the other side!
I agree with you. Women seem to either feel under pressure to have a slim boyish shape or a toned hourglass figure, both of which you are either born with or you’re not.
I too question whether celebs mean these things when they say them. Because of the skinny boyish ideal i think a lot of slender celebs say they wish they had curves for good PR. I don’t see why she should have to say that. She’s a healthy looking woman with a great slender body and should be allowed to love her body without feeling guilty.
I agree, I don’t understand why people can’t work with what they have. Cameron is either a triangle or a ruler and that’s okay. She looks healthy and athletic.
And I agree that she’s probably talking about wanting curves for good PR. I’ve read some quotes from her regarding her diet. She says that she can pretty much eat whatever she wants and she’s always been a really active person. IF she is being truthful about wanting a larger bum, I can understand why. She’s not very curvy, but then again, she’s not biologically hardwired to be.
i agree with that. i think women should accept their bodies because at the end of the day, just like not every girl will look like cameron or gisele who’s skinny, not every girl will be curvy like kim k and beyonce. and i agree. i think it is some type of pressure to have that hourglass body with the tiny waist. cameron has a nice body and shouldn’t have to be like everyone else in order to fit in. skinny or curvy, we’re all women.

but i think she’s one of the naturally slim celebs out there – she does a lot of sports and not diets and doesn’t seem to care much what people love or hate about her. i love her charme and her genuine personality!
The haters fail to consider that she isn’t crazy and that perhaps she just works out and is healthy. I have a very similar build and yes I workout more than some and I eat healthy but I don’t take diet pills nor am I starving.
Has anyone seen The Mask?? She’s voluptuous and curvy in that movie and she looks GOOOOOD!
Why can’t anyone just be happy with their current body?
Especially Cameron Diaz who has a beautiful body.. You want more curves, eat some more sandwiches. Its almost like we just all want to keep changing ourselves, it seems like no matter what anyone looks like, change is constantly needed.. It’s rare to hear someone say they are happy with their body and don’t want to change a thing, too bad!

She is very athletic, She loves surfing and sports and she simply is comfortable with athletic activities. She looks nice and fitted.

Very true. A woman is expected to be thin in the right places (arms, legs, waist), and to carry fat in the “right” places (bust, hips, butt). Few meet those requirements. An hourglass figure is actually unusual in nature.
Being hourglass has little to do with weight also. Eating more will simply make her a larger version of the shape she is now. Thin women are not boyish either, that’s just nasty and mean phrasing. You can be very thin and have a more feminine shape than a much heavier woman….there’s nothing boyish about being thin.
The problem here is that she actually used to be amazingly, jaw-droppingly curvy and voluptuous. Hasn’t anybody seen the movie The Mask?
Her saying ‘curvy not my body type’ is buuuuuuull. She was born with a sexy ass. But then she went anorexic and lost it all; now she can’t get it back. She IS biologically hardwired to be curvaceous, but its just very hard to get a fantastic figure back once you lose it.
