Queen Latifah in a Flattering Dress at BET Honors Awards

The BET Honors Second Annual Black Entertainment Awardstook place a few days ago and Queen Latifah made an appearance, looking really good in a black lace dress.
Definitely flattering, definitely right for her curvy full figure! Even though the purple empire waist gown that she wore at People’s Choice Awardswas a beautiful one, this black dress hugs Queen Latifah’s curves just perfectly… and it actually looks like she’s lost pounds in between the events (there was only a 1 week gap).

The neckline is more flattering on the black dress. That is what is making her look slimmer.

I like Queen Latifah but even she admits she’ll never have
a stick build of a Halle Berry. Skinny women such as Pamela
Anderson may seem to be more popular, but I’ll bet Queen
Latifah might get some votes in a skinny vs curvy vs either
Halle Berry or Pamela Anderson. No doubt Latifah would be
the underdog in both matchups but they might be interesting
to see. Halle, though much smaller than Queen, seems to be
the curviest and would be my pick of the three. Pamela needs
to remove those too huge breasts and look normal. It seems
Pamela is trying to play two roles. Queen Latifah’s role would
be better suited to turning on guys that like huge breasts and
women with meat on their bones. Pamela Anderson’s skinny
body type suggests she should concentrate on men that lean
toward thinner women. That usually coincides with small breasts
as well. I’d love to see a skinny vs curvy with Queen Latifah vs
any of the above two.

I love both. I think part of the reason she looks slimmer in the black dress is that her hair’s up, so there’s less volume in the neck area.
That black dress does have a tendency to make Queen Latifah look slimmer.
We’ll know for sure when some of the Victoria Beckham haters start responding and call her anorexic. Looks good in the mean time.

Very interested in finding the dress that Queen Latifah wore for the 2009 BET Awards, (the black lace). I am looking for the actual dress or pattern so that I can possibly get it made. Please help its for my daughter’s wedding in October of 2011.
