Alicia Keys in Daisy Dukes
July 15, 2011 in Alicia Keys, Body Type and Clothes by Versus

Alicia Keys was spotted on a stroll with her 9 months old baby and stepson in New York – and on this sunny occasion, Alicia opted for a sleeveless top and a pair of daisy dukes that showed off her legs.

More pictures after the jump!

Wow! No offense to Alicia, she’s a beautiful woman with immense talent, but these are my worst nightmare in terms of legs. Perhaps its just the place she gains weight. Luckily it doesn’t detract from her beauty as a person.
i am concerned that she might have edema… hmmmm…..
Why the short shorts Alicia, why?
These are some of the biggest legs I’ve ever seen on a woman with an upper body that (relatively) small.
I think you need to go to Youtube and search for “Super Dome Booty” and prepare to reconsider that sentiment.
super dome booty? lmfao! where do you find all this weird sh”t?
Yeah, or this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yQAU0mgLSA
warning: shocking content!
scary
That is disgusting. Nothing sexy or healthy about that. Geez!
traumatized from that…lol
I don’t think she looks so bad, it’s just that she gained what looks like a lot of weight REALLY fast. That’s what’s not so encouraging. She’s still beautiful, though. Just not a great outfit choice.
She got a baby. She gave birth 10 month ago. Since when isn’t it okay anymore to gain weight in a natural way. Since when du we pressure women to loose weight as fast as possible instead of carying for their family???
Who is pressuring anyone? No one in my head but me.
Well, the people with the stupid comments like “i would hate me if i would have these legs” or “Damn! I don’t even know what to say…” or “she just let herself get fat, the fault is upon her own responsibility.”. Oh rigth, this is not pressure. That is just simple judging about a person with lots of other amenities.
Hello? She was way slimmer 3 months ago! Read the post…
That’s what’s shocking! And probably very unhealthy!
it was april 2010.
And what about loosing weight in a couple of weeks/month after giving birth or never gaining any weight while beeing pregnant? Is that NOT unhealthy? I read an article in Europe about “Hollywood” moms loosing weight to fast. I think this is awful because it pushes us in differint kind of thinking which i don’t prefer because it is simply not natural to be skinny while giving birth to another human beeing.
Right on! Alicia rocks!
It looks so surreal, almost like it was shot from a bad angle. Her face, neck and stomach stays slim looking no matter what, but the rest of her body is quite thick. The proportions are a little odd to me. I don’t know if I find her lucky or unlucky gene wise in this context, but I do find myself lucky for gaining weight evenly.
That’s call having a pear shape.Period
I don’t even… no.
LMAO
Oh Lord.. :-/ bad choice of clothing, I think. She could have worn something else that would have been much, much more flattering.. my legs are my problem area too and there’s no way I’d dress like that!
i agree, i actually have nice legs, and i dont even dress like that lol
well not in public
Good for you, she may not have nice legs but she’s going to wear what she wants because it’s her life and a free country.
She probably could have picked something a little more flattering but its not like shes anywhere near a point she has to feel ashamed of her body and feel the need to hide it, my legs are one of my problem areas too and I’d never have the courage to wear something like that, so good on her.
I agree. I love that she seemingly doesn’t care about what the world around her thinks, and why should she? She *should* be comfortable with her body, so I’m absolutely *not* going to criticize her for wearing whatever she wants just because she’s thick. It’s not her duty to make everyone else comfortable with her weight, especially when she is.
Can you tell me where the point is where someone “should” be ashamed? Where someone “needs” to hide their body? All women and men deserve self-esteem and self-confidence regardless of your “rules” about what they should and shouldn’t feel comfortable wearing or doing.
em not to be mean
but if i looked like that i would not be wearing short’s.
just wow ..
whoa nelly! she needs a pair of shorts at least 2 sizes larger because those thighs are eating up that denim….
Unfortch
Ok, I don’t really think that was necessary. She gained some weight, but implying she looks like a whale I think goes against everything people SHOULD be doing on this site…discussing different body shapes in a positive and polite manner.
what’s so negative and impolite about saying it doesn’t matter if she’s 200 lbs or 120 because she has actual talent? i think of christina aguilera and mariah carey that way. they are above aesthetic criticism because of their careers are built on something else.
the “polite and positive discussion” is not why i visit this site. i use this site mostly for observing fashion and the occasional tip on diet and exercise. i agree that being positive is better, but sometimes the ‘mean’ comments are really funny or just really true. for instance, i agree that her legs are my worst nightmare. your admonishment would have been way more appropriate on some of these other posts.
actually, (this is my last post) i agree that some people should probably not be so mean, but each to their own. i don’t take it personally or feel like they are misusing the site.
not forgetting adele……. stunning voice!
“discussing different body shapes in a positive and polite manner.”
Funny how that rule only applies when we are discusting big women.
alicia your legs is nice!
She gained really a lot of weight in just one year when you compare it to the other post.
I honestly think there is something wrong. I mean.. I know some people just like to eat a lot of good foods, but this much weight gain looks more like emotional eating I’m afraid.
she’s never been a TINY girl though. she has always been a little thicker and you can tell she carries it in her lower half. this isn’t surprising to me at all.
anyway she’s a homewrecker, who cares what she looks like? we talk about leann rimes like she is the devil, but alicia keys is just as bad
Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears or Tori Spelling never get talked about the same way either. I think it’s more to do with Leeann’s actions after getting with Eddie than actually breaking up his marriage.
Nobody wrecks anything that is not already broken why do we talk so bad about these women when we dont know what is going on, I am happily married and if my husband leaves with someone else that was single I would be upset at him not her!
Both parties are to blame. Sure, a marriage that is already in tatters is bound to be destroyed at some point if not repaired but why go and rub salt in someone else’s wound? We should know better than to have an affair with a married man/woman. I think the whole ‘their marriage was failing anyway’ excuse is a load of BS. It’s like me seeing someone bleeding from a knife attack and shooting them to test out my new gun because they were going to die anyway. I may not have started the initial problem but it was my action that brought about the full destruction.
Perfect comment, Nkeon.
the husband is the one to be faithful and all that sh*t, I myself would never date a married man but that does not mean that married man are poor little inocent ppupies, they want it, they go for it…so in me eyes, the only guilty is the person married, s/he is the one who should respect their spouse anyway…
How did she wreck a home? Is the man really blameless? Was Alicia just far too much of a vixen and he couldn’t help himself? How misogynistic can you get?
it’s not misogynist if a man went into someones home broke up s marriage they’d be a homewrecker too…we’re just not talking about the dude b/c he isn’t in this post
You can’t wreck a home that wasn’t already broken. As well, you *never* hear the man being called a, “homewrecker”. Ever.
It’s an absolutely antiquated term used to defile women and as such is misogynistic in nature.
i never said the man was blameless. they both have issues and they deserve each other for being oblivious to other peoples (his ex’s) feelings
So if you fall in love with someone else do you have to stay in a relationship that no longer works to make the other person happy?
No Man or Woman can wreck a home in which both parties are happy!
Who are we to judge!
?saniT
Of course not but the whole of making a commitment is to fulfil it. That means that you work hard to make it last. If it can’t be resolved then people should have the decency to break up with the person they are with first rather than being unfaithful and using the whole ‘why should i stay in a relationship that isn’t working just to make the other person happy’ excuse. If that were really the case you’d end it. As far as i’m concerned people in unhappy marriages that cheat (except in circumstances where fear or violence are involved) are just trying to have their cake and eat it. If someone wants to move on then they should move on.
Nkeon:
I agree with you about the cheating but what i am trying to say is that people who live a very public life ( and maybe even regular folk who might have children or hold on to news of their separation as to not to hurt family members) tend to separate behind the scene for months prior to an announcement being made to the general public, info has to go through publicists, agents and others. So, before we judge them maybe we can consider that the marriage was broken and they found someone else and all we saw was the separation and one of the parties walking around the next day with their new partner.
I think that if it is not working you should try to make it work as long as there is love but if that still does not work then leave before cheating and hurting someone else.
*starts damn near gagging to death* how long pray tell where you in Womens Studies til they told you that one…let me just give you a definition b/c apparently you’re a little lost
homewrecker: noun; a person who engages in a romantic relations with a person who is married or engaged to be married with the INTENTION of breaking up the engagement or marriage. So according this little tid bit Alisha couldn’t even be a homewrecker unless she intended to wreck a home….but imo if a home could be wrecked it probably wasn’t all that secure to begin with
*oh and before I get this this was not an attack on anybody who has ever been in a womans studies class…i just hate when people just spew shit outta their mouths
Agree with saniT and Renee
maybe we should all stop at this comment people just don’t get it with this homewrecker stuff only the bitter ones that like to project their own emotions unto these women. Their men probably left them for someone else! Get over it losers!
Seriously?
that blouse is on sale right now at Zara. Almost bought it today but didn’t…hmmmm…Alicia used to be so pretty but her attitude turns me off.
Today I was at Zara too
But I didn’t see that blouse. I bought a dress for 10Euros
Yay, I love sales
I agree. I don’t think she is attractive as a person because of her attitude. She has a lovely voice and write great songs so she should keep to that. We don’t really need to hear her deluded view of reality.
what are you guys talking about? She always seems so cool and relaxed to me. Has she said some crazy stuff recently or something? Am I out of the loop ?
it’s been hot and humid as hell in the northeast this past week, so why shouldn’t she wear daisy dukes? Honestly when it’s 100 degrees outside my top priority is staying cool and comfortable, looking good is at the very bottom of that list.
That can’t be comfortable though! My thighs touch, too and when it’s hot and humid out I tend to opt for something flowy or at least shorts that are a little longer.
agree, tho i love shorts on me, skirts are def better cuz you won’t sweat tho i hate it when i have too be careful at the ‘wind’
lol, I’ve had some pretty unfortunate skirt/dress mishaps on windy days. my problem with skirts is on days when it’s really hot and things start getting really sweaty the fabric sticks to certain areas of the legs. I haven’t had that issue with shorts as much.
Mia- I can totally relate! I don’t wear skirts very often but once I was walking to the shop with friends during my lunch break when a gust of wind blew- I quickly tried to hold on to my skirt/ modesty and thought I’d got away with it as I was halfway through the shop door anyway. However as I casually glanced behind me to confirm, the creepy sneer I got from a guy in a white van told me: “Yep Zoe, now nonexistent.” It was his loss to be honest; let’s just say my bum is definitely not the best part of my body
have to totally disagree. i used to have the chub rub as we call it, when your thighs rub together and it is much worse in skirts than shorts. shorts put a fabric barrier between your thighs so sweaty skin doesn’t rub against more sweaty skin which is how you end up with red raw rashes.
I think she looks fine. Heavy legs. so what? I hate this idea of hiding your body just because it isn’t perfect. I used to live in a very hot country and wearing long dresses while stylish is also hot, sweaty and impractical especially if you are looking after young kids.
I would hate to sit and watch a parade of perfection, even if i were equally perfect.
i spent today in the sun wishing I had put on something shorter instead of worrying about my pale, cellulit-y stretch marked legs. I ate lunch outdoors and people watched, one of my favourite activities, and not one body that went past was perfect. skinny, fat, and everything inbetween, there was still pot bellies, flat bums, jiggly thighs, missing whr and pretty much everything else. i love it
ha, chub rub! i used to wear bike pants under skirts when i was chubbier to stop that happening:)
well it depends…i have a gap between my thighs tho they are thick so i don’t get that red rash fortunately
anyway i love both shorts, cuz they show the curves and short flowy(w.e the name) skirts cuz they make my legs look long hehe
Honey, when you have THAT much money, you can look “comfortable” AND “good.”
Damn! I don’t even know what to say…
Then shut the f**k up. You annoy me anyway.
TROLL. You’re either a troll or you’re a kid who doesn’t realise that there is no need to display such rudeness. Your parents may want to know what you’re up to, little one.
Maybe I set myself up for that one
No, you didn’t Lovisa. How anyone could set themselves up to be talked to like that, on weight gossip site no less, is beyond me.
necessary?
Take your juvenile crap somewhere else, troll.
Cut her some slack. She just had a baby and some women gain weight all over during pregnancy. She is also probably still breast feeding. It can take up to 2 years to lose pregnancy weight if you are not hitting the gym and cutting calories.
Do you people NOT READ the posts, just look at pictures? She gained weight since April this year, in the past 3 months, she had her baby 9 months ago. She was slim in April. She gave birth to her baby in October last year.
Exactly. She put on all this weight in three months without the excuse of a pregnancy. Unless she’s was severely underweight before (it doesn’t look like it to me? Her frame isn’t that large), this has bad health implications written all over it.
And those ankle straps are doing no favours for her calves.
Umm, the date in the post is april 2010, 15 months ago, which would mean she was already preggers but not very far, so i think it’s pretty safe to assume her weight gain is (at least partly) due to the pregnancy, plus she’s been getting a tiny bit heavier in the past years anyway(compared to when she came out with songs in a minor), so it doesn’t surprise me she hasn’t shed the lbs off in the past 9 months. Her face is always pretty and her body is ok but i wouldn’t wear those shorts if i were her. Heck i don’t wear shorts that short now and i feel like my legs are the best part in my body.
Ummm, no. Please read, it is dated this year with her 9 month old baby. It is a current pic.
Actually the other post was from April 2010. But maybe she did gain from April of this year too? I’m not sure…
April 2010. Check the post again.
There was a picture of here on June 29 and it’s not like she’s gained a massive amount of weight in weeks. She just had on a longer dress and heels in the other pictures
Yeah fair dos she doesn’t look great. But in response to the weight comments she had a baby in october and unlike all other celebrities obviously can’t or isn’t bothered about dropping all the weight off in a ridiculously short amount of time!
Her legs seems bloated. It looks like she gained too fast and her legs were not keeping up… They will fall back into proper size I think, or they will get more used too the extra weight.
I know it’s the angle but her feet look so TINY compared to her legs in that first pic.
Leg shape, unfortunately is something one can’t control. My legs are opposite-tiny and shapeless and small compared to my shapely figure. At some point I decided that I’m not going to suffer in 90 degree heat because someone might notice them and judge. WHO CARES!!! I’m sure Alecia feels the same.
exactly! I have extremely mascular calves (I get comments on them from random men on a daily basis). I used to only wear pants and long skirts in my teens and early 20s and finally I decided enough is enough! I don’t care what people think I’m sick of sweating my ass off every summer.
just curious, what kinda comments do u get? b/c i have extremely athletic calf muscles that men love but i haaaaaaaaaate
Coudn’t agree more!
I’ll cut her some slack because she just had a baby. But at the same time, she’s a celebrity with unlimited resources….as in trainers and nutritionists.
Yep. That was actually going to be my comment, but I decided I couldn’t be that mean lol.
*sigh* Us pear shaped ladies can never catch a break, can we? Alicia has always been an extremely bottom heavy pear, and she’ll never be anything different. Maybe I just don’t notice it, but I feel like the apple shapes never come under scrutiny when they’re exposing their midriffs in bikini pics, and ruler/rectangles only get crap when they’re particularly heavy (ie Kesha).
don’t worry, i think big bellies on girls look ugly. im a pear. my bf agrees so i’m not saying i just cuz i’m a pear
you’re the first person to state the obvious – she has ALWAYS been extremely bottom heavy! granted, never to this extent, but still. I was always surprised how people throughout the years down-played this fact. her legs have always been noticably large, and altho mostly muscular, they were not without fat as well. she always got lumped into the “curvy” category, because she was relatively slimmer on top.
but to all the comments before, she is in no way shape or form trying to camouflage her weight gain. either she doesnt care what others think or she still hasnt processed it…
I am a pear-shaped girl myself and my legs are my problem area as well. But, this is bad. I would have opted for a different outfit. Very unflattering! The top is also the wrong choice. It doesn’t show off her waist.
Also: wrong shoes. Pears, please stop cutting your legs off at the ankle! You’ll look 3 lbs lighter immediately! (I hope JLH reads this, too)
haha agree, tho some wedges with a T strap look good on me, they’re also flesh colored. but i’m way slimmer, 100
I just don’t understand how she could get this HEAVY!! I know she’s pear shaped too, and her legs probably exaggerate her weight gain for the worse, but it makes her look so so so so heavy! poor girl
removed by admin*
I think she’s still fly as f*ck but she defo shouldn’t gain any more and should try to tone up/watch what she eats for a while.
Obviously, I don’t like her legs but she carries herself with confidence so I think she looks fine. I love her hair curly like that. Her stepson is adorable with his impish little expressions.
wow…i’m a small pear and that’s why i wouldn’t wanna gain a lot of weight…also, guess gladiator sandals would look bad even on me
she looks so good slim
she just had a baby give her a break! i think she’s lucky that she gained the weight in a way that made her still look curvy and she’s still so confident! good for her! she probably just doesnt have enough time to exercise and eat as healthy as she used to
She had her ”baby” a year ago or longer– what is wrong with you people! she just let herself get fat, the fault is upon her own responsibility. Don’t blame it on pregnancy, being pear shaped or the African American predisposition to obesity it’s simply Alicia’s own ”issue”.
She had the baby in October 2010. How has it been longer than a year? Most women don’t lose all the baby weight in 9 months. Celebrities do it but that’s definitely not the norm
Oh please, she didn’t carry the baby in her legs did she? and I know plenty of pears who don’t have legs like that.
Did I say it had anything to do with her being a pear? Nope didn’t think so. Most women gain weight all over their body during pregnancy. Her bottom half has never been small so it’s not that unusual for her legs to now be larger. It’s not everyone’s top concern to immediately lose baby weight and it shouldn’t be. Some people have some warped perceptions of what the priorities of new mothers should be
1) As Tasha said it wasn’t a year ago or longer that she had her baby. And as she did have a baby there is no need for quotation marks.
2) Since when have African Americans as a whole been predisposed to obesity? Pretty sure they have just as diverse a range of sizes as any other ethnicity.
3) She’s extremely pear shaped. Her legs have always been large and as you can tell by this picture that’s where she’s carrying most of her extra weight. She obviously doesn’t have an issue with it.
It’s been speculated that African Americans, Pacific Islanders and Native Americans carry the ”thrity gene” which predisposes them to obesity more than most Eropeans. Because their ancestors experienced long periods of fathom their bodies developed a mechanism to instantly store fat rather than convert it into energy for fertility mostly. Couple that with western culture and fast food and you’ll get obese pretty quickly. I didn’t mean any racism whatsoever to come across, it’s based upon solid medical facts.
Famine* typo, not fathom, what was I thinking lol.
My apologies then as I did take it that way. It makes sense I supppose, but as she is mixed that would be a spotty “excuse” anyways.
That is interesting though. I should look that up.
speculated and solid medical fact are two opposing terms. but you had it right with the first word. This is far from medical fact, and further the actual extent to which these genes may actually affect your weight is still very much to be determined.
thats funny, because europe and america are the fattest places in the world. and as far as statistics go. the majority of inhabitants of these places are still white.
now what were you saying about caucasians and obesity again?
*sidenote. lord knows there have always been fat white people with enormous saddlethighs. i live in the netherlands, and welp *looks to the side* ..just come and see for yourself. that’s all I can say about it
Why did you put “baby” in quotes like that? Do you mean to imply she didn’t actually have a baby? That her baby wasn’t real?
Anyway, she had a baby. She’s now bigger than she was. She obviously doesn’t prioritise getting back to how she looked before and who cares. It’s not your problem. Lay off her!
I put the word baby in quotes because it doesn’t serve as an excuse for her getting this overweight ( like everybody is claiming). She gave birth nearly a year ago, the ”baby weight” excuse is now long gone she just got heavy on her own accord.
Obviously the baby weight made her heavy. She just hasn’t lost it. Regardless of the reason why she hasn’t lost it, the baby weight caused the weight gain in the first place – dunno how that’s hard to see.
alicia always had thick thighs but never that thick. guess it’s the first time she show her legs because you barely see her in shorts. she’s still beautiful though.
This is wrong on so many levels…
she has really put on some weight!
she used to be quite slim..
Must be awesome to have such a thin face even when you’re severely overweight.
Opposite of me. I am at a normal BMI weight, yet my face looks like that of a puffer fish.
HAHAHAHA
Ugh she isn’t SEVERELY overweight.
maybe not severe but close to it…girl needs to lose like 30 pounds.
She’s always had large legs to begin with, so I’m not really surprised. Her face is stunning though! Versus, don’t you mean 9 years old? I don’t see any baby in the pictures
She was with her baby in a stroller, guess that pic is missing.
hmm.. it looks like she has lympho problems. her legs do not look healthy. there are women with cellulite, or this size. that is not the problem. they look like they are retaining water. i cant judge her because it looks kind of painful.
she could wear loose fitting linnen pants. it would be less obvious. then again she should do what makes her happy. i will take a confident happy person with flaws over an insecure people pleaser anyday
Well…I’m guessing the majority of posters on here are in fact, skinny and are a race that prizes very thin women. In the African American culture it’s the complete opposite (in general). As long as your waist is small and toned, your legs, ass, hips can big big or “thick” as we like to say. I’m of mixed racial descent (black and white) so I see it from both sides of the spectrum. If this were a prodimently African-American website you bet your bottom dollar that the posts would say that Alicia looks good and “thick” and men would say she’s good to F$#@. The worst, absolite worst shape you can be in an “ethnic” culture is an APPLE SHAPe– Skinny legs and arms with a large middle and no ass….it’s the one shape that I hear consistently get made fun of. Those types of men do not find it attractive at all. Actually, most men in general don’t find that shape attractive but I digress….I know this is a website where we can openly discuss body types and such but this sites obviously biased towards skinnier bodies and white women in general. There, I said it. My most controversial post to date.
*absolute
I was just thinking that! if this were on MediaTakeout or something, there’d be 35944395 comments saying ‘she can get it…for real tho lol’ or something! Totally weird how different our beauty ideals can be…for example, check out this woman in this Big Boi video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWsvkW6rKkQ&feature=player_detailpage#t=105s
…similar to Alicia in a way! I was raised in a culture that values white beauty, but I’m glad that black communities prefer bodies like Alicia’s (and mine…hahaha)
This IS on mediatakeout and the comments are just as negative! http://cdn.mediatakeout.com/49818/alicia_keys_photod_taking_her_son____and_step_son_out_for_a_walk____and_shes_looking_extra_thick.html
Yes I just read it too. I guess she is fat and having fat legs is the worst possible sin you can commit in any race. Poor Alicia. And boohoo for any girl whose thighs touch. To be honest I need to stop coming to this website because what you posters say makes me want to off myself
Anyone looking for self validation in external places is going to be severely disappointed.
Just sayin’
A lot of the comments on there are worse than the meanest ones here, in my opinion.
I actually think it’s a bit more gendered than racialized, as you touched on a bit in your post. The vast majority of black men would think she looks good; I’d also wager that a decent number of white guys would feel the same way, or just wouldn’t care. Females in general, however, are gonna have something to say about her body- by white beauty standards, she’s too heavy on the bottom. By black beauty standards, she’s too small on the top. Women can be really vicious sometimes- even Kim Kardashian gets flack, and she’s pretty much the black body ideal (trim waist, big booty, big boobs, slender arms).
And I’m not saying she has a “great” body, she does look a lot bigger than she has in awhile. But what I’m trying to say is that in the Black community she would not receive the level of criticism that she and other “thicker” women get on this website.
Yes and no. I don’t agree that her body would get the level of praise you think it would, especially from men, because her body is “thicker” but really isn’t a nice shape at this weight. Certainly some men would be all about her, but I really don’t think she’s the kind of “thick” you’re talking about. Maybe in tight jeans…. but not like this.
What you’re saying about apple shapes is pretty spot on… I’m mixed too and grew up in a black/latino community, and people who aren’t hourglass/pear/skittle-shaped are frequently pitied and seen as less attractive (which is especially traumatic if you are not one of these shapes but are part of a culture that is famed for its curves). Sad but true. I more or less lucked out, but I can only wonder how I would feel about my body if I weren’t a pear/hourglass.
I do think there is some truth to this. I live in a predominantly African American neighborhood in North Philly and I see men hollaring at women who are definitely overweight by medical standards and would be heavily criticized on this site (many who are much heavier than Alicia Keys). Of course I also see very thin African American women who get a lot of attention. it seems a lot of it has to do with how you carry yourself, with less consideration for weight than there is in the European American community…I think most White men would not hollar at a girl like Alicia Keys regardless of how confident or flirtatious she was.
Of course, there are just averages, there are going to be exceptions….but I think there is a difference in the standard of beauty.
No shit! I grew up in North Philly
for real?! I teach at Temple, so for now we live around here. It’s probably changed a lot since you grow up here, but some things never change.
Yeah, I grew up right around Hunting Park. I’m only 21, so it wasn’t so long ago
It might be controversial but it’s TRUE.
There is definitely cultural differences in what body type is preferable. The black ideal tends to lean towards a Beyonce body type over a VS model. That isn’t going to change.
Pretty much every black female on here is called fat and criticized for having big thighs and a butt. That can’t be denied
You’re definitely right! I’m a Turkish girl living in Germany and like many Middle Eastern women I’ve got a curvy butt. While I’ve always been praised by Turkish guys for my back, my German school mates and fellows have made fun of my butt. I was even called “fat ass” by some German boys and my butt isn’t THAT big at all! (definitely smaller than Kim K.’s
)
Hmm I think a woman with a big belly would get an equal amount of criticism on this site!
I do like thicker legs on women sometimes: the nice, toned shapely kind of thick leg like Beyoncé, while Alicia’s legs seem more like tree trunks to me.. Straight up and down with very wide knees and no muscle tone.
I think her shape if fine but if she lost a little weight and toned up it would look 10x better (imo)…to me the baby excuse is not valid b/c she has access to trainers and the what-not…but to me it doesn’t matter what she looks like a) b/c she sits behind a piano and b) b/c she has talent to the point where I don’t give a f
Well said Lauren!
There is a website which clearly demonstrates exactly your points regarding the sharp contrast between Caucasion and African American’s preferences in women’s bodies :
http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=293969&PN=691&title=body-inspiration-thread
Oh my god, the woman in the first picture on http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=293969&PN=691&title=body-inspiration-thread has SUCH a sexy body.
I think most of the time it’s women policing other women’s bodies. In my experience, men from Black and White cultures like a curvy shape, which is more important than how heavy or thin a woman is.
A lot of truth in what you said Lauren, however, I’m not sure that a site that caters more to black audiences would’ve been so much more favourable. I’m Nigerian and I can tell you that they are picky when it comes to women’s bodies. I think the men would like her small waist and shapely hips but wouldn’t like legs much. Google/Youtube Mercy Johnson; she’s a Nollywood actress and has the ment drooling with her very pronounced hourglass figure complete with thick toned legs, teeny waist and packed backside! I’ve also read a lot comments from African-American men that their definition of thick is Serena Williams or Beyonce (Crazy in love era).
Agree that apple shapes are less adored. There’s a stunning actress called Ini Edo that does have booty but the men go on about her ‘protuding belly’. But I don’t think you needed to have that tone about apple shaped women. No need to go there.
she can stand to shed a few pounds
O_______________O
Ehm…I applaude the fact that she feel so secure in her skin to step outside her house with those shorts on? I would never do it, thick legs or not.
I knew she was pear-shaped as she has almost always had a slimmer upper body, complete with nice toned arms. Her arms are much thicker in these photos (as well as her legs – yikes)… it’s nice to see I’m not the only one who gains weight in arms as well as legs. I’ve been working my butt off, though, so I’m much more toned currently, but I swear — having thicker arms in the summer with it being sleeveless season can be very difficult! She should have just worn pants. light, cotton pants
Ditto for having thicker arms– it really blows sometimes.
I AGREE.
My arms will not get any smaller and it’s driving me crazy. It hasn’t kept me from wearing tank tops or anything, but I’ve accepted that my legs are the way they are. I just haven’t got there with my arms.
She should be wearing dresses. Comfortable and hides the legs
I’m going to go ahead and believe that you mean this in a nice way, but Alicia can wear whatever she wants…just like you, just like me.
her face is always so beautiful no matter what weight. i think part of it is that i know what her gorgeous voice sounds like, and it makes me think of her as beautiful.
lucky for her she hasn’t built a career on looks like most of hollywood.
I’m all for loving your body.
That said, one of the best ways to show it love is to dress it the way it deserves to be dressed.
This is not it.
I agree with some of the comments above about pear shaped women seemingly criticised much more than any other body shape! She had a baby, and yes she may have all the resources to get back into shape. But firstly if she doesn’t want to or feel the need to then why should she? Secondly some women when they have had a baby find it very difficult to get back into their “pre-body” weight category and some never will because their bodies have changed as a result of pregnancy, not everyone is the same and can just “snap back” to how they were before. Although i don’t think her choice of clothing was a good one for her body, i applaud her for not being obsessed or covering up like she should be ashamed. Celebrity or not she’s human. Enough said.
Her legs are awful why oh why would she go out her house wearing shorts……………..
sorry to be mean but I have never seen anyones legs that look like that!
I just can’t understand how nobody told her she looks bad :/
You obviously haven’t been exposed to many people
Wow…
Not to be mean, but I’d never, ever want those legs…to each their own though; Alicia doesn’t seem to mind them.
Um, she probably “doesn’t mind” them because she can’t get a leg transplant! What a silly comment.
What I meant was:
She looks COMFORTABLE with them, not like she feels she needs to cover up. She doesn’t mind them being that thick or she’d lose WEIGHT as the alternative…umm, no not so much thinking along the lines of a transplant. No need to be a smart ass…your comment was silly.
My bad – misunderstood what you wrote. Sorry.
It’s all good.
I honestly thought she was slimmer than this. I agree that it’s not flattering, especially with the shoes. But it’s not like she’s committing a crime… it’s summer ;(
People are being extremely rude. Alicia Keys doesn’t have a particularly nice body, but why should she wear something else? Who cares if something isn’t “flattering” to someone’s shape? Some people aren’t in denial, and aren’t trying to hide the shape of their body. Alicia obviously knows she’s pear shaped, and she doesn’t care. Why should she try to camouflage her body to look like an hourglass? It always annoys me when people make comments about “dressing for your shape”. I think thats BS. People always criticize Mischa Barton too for not dressing right but I applaud her for not conforming.
Alicia Keys was in 90-100 degree weather, what do you people suggest she wore instead? A Burka?
Are all overweight people supposed cover themselves up in “figure flattering” clothes and suffer in the heat?
My god, some people are so ridiculous.
OMG I LOVE YOU ….high5!
lol I agree, I don’t get the big deal alicia always have been thicker around her legs so I don’t get the big surprise. I don’t think she look that bad sure she could have found a flattering outfit but who cares she is having fun with her kids
I don’t buy the baby excuse. I had a baby in march of 2011 and I’ve been back to 115lbs (at 5’6”) for about a month. Motherhood doesn’t mean you have to get fat and stay that way.
She is probably happy at this weight and doesn’t want to spend her time working out or worrying about what she eats.
Yep, and because something happened for you that should be the rule for everyone? How ignorant you sound.
She didn’t mean that because it happened to her it should happen to Alicia. She actually said that Alicia must not seek her pre-baby weight, or she’d try to get there as she did.
She actually said that she didn’t buy the baby excuse, implying that because she found it easy to lose weight or even possible, that everyone else could. Maybe Alicia is trying to lose weight? Maybe she isn’t happy like how she is? Maybe she is, of course. But my point is that just because one person can lose baby-weight, this is not true for everyone.
I took her comment another way…I guess I didn’t think that was what she was trying to imply.
I kind of agree. How much weight did she gain during the pregnancy? Women typically gain 20-25 lbs at most during those 9 months. Gaining too much has always been discouraged by doctors, for the baby’s later growth and development. I guess this is turning into a comment about overall Hollywood pregnancies rather than just Alicia’s, but it’s still boggling to me that actresses put on 40+ lbs and nothing is mentioned of it.
My best friend put on 40 pounds during her pregnancy, and her doctors really weren’t concerned. She was lucky because her weight just fell off and she didn’t do anything. My mother, on the other hand, had her entire body change after having me and my brother.
I think it’s stupid how women are pressured to suddenly look the way they used to as soon as possible. Caring for your new child is a bit more important.
Have you guys actually been pregnant? Granted, I am tall, but I gained about 70 pounds with each pregnancy. I got it off each time in about 9 months. My Doc had no concerns. My body bounced back fine, stomach flat as a board, but I am a pear. Either way, I weigh less now than before I got married, even. Most docs recommend 35 pounds, depending on the woman. If you are tiny, I think you gain less. My legs never looked like that from being pregnant, I would have worn a nice longer short. Like a Dojo short-my favorite pear jeans shorts. 7 for all mankind Dojo, the friend of every pear.
I agree with what everyone else has said about this post – just because something happened for you doesn’t mean it happens for everyone. But seriously, how skinny ARE you?! I’m 5’5 and about 140lb. I am still slim. You need a cake.
apologies – wrong post. But anyway, Alicia looks fine just the way she is and she’d look fine heavier or lighter – it’s her weight after all…*shrug*
Those ‘bandage’ shoes are the bane of my existence. Every trend-whoring teenager here in Australia wears them. They’re practically the uniform of those who don’t have a clue. It’s particularly funny when all the guys you know start to notice those ‘really ugly ankle bandage shoes’ and cringe when they see them. NO NO NO!
Still gorgeous.
I braced myself before viewing the photo’s because i knew they were going to be bad but no where near this bad. I’m not a fan of Alicia her interviews show her as being ignorant and stupid her comment about gangsta rap being a government conspiracy to keep black people dumb was completely idiotic. Yes she’s talented but her talent doesn’t excuse her ignorance. The sandals are bloody ugly.
She’s a pear shape and is so beautiful! She just had a baby 9 months ago. Any mom can tell you that losing the baby weight is SO hard. Your body just changes. I praise her for not being so obsessed and bouncing back in 2 months. Most moms take 12-18 months to lose their baby weight, with diet/exercise.
obviously her legs arent her best asset, but who cares? at least she has a pretty face, a family, and shes talented,, its not ilke shes hideous or anything shes still attractive
dam and her son is ganna be sooo gorgeous when he grows up
oh God those unfortunate legs! Hahaha funny thing is, her husband’s legs are half the size of her legs.
I can’t be the only one that is going to wear clothing that is comfortable and weather appropriate despite my body not being “perfect.” I have big thighs and will always have big thighs and I’m going to keep wearing my shorts when it’s still 100 degrees at 6 pm
Wow. Some people don’t have the legs for shorts, sorry. She should be wearing long skirts or dresses that would hide the upper leg fat
She looks horribly fat, can’t believe how fat she’s gotten. She was never thin to begin with, but wow she looks bad. SHe reallllllyyyy shouldn’t be wearing shorts like that AT ALL. She should stay away from shorts in general. I know she had a baby, but come on there is no reason for her to look this way. It’s more like she doesn’t care what she looks like. Having a baby is no excuse to get this big.
The thing that annoys me the most about some of these comments is. The other day some were giving Karolina Kurvova a hard time for having “skinny” legs. Yet when it’s a heavy set woman there is already a bunch of ready made excuses such as “she’s a pear” “she just had a baby” Karolina is naturally thin just as you are saying Alica is naturally thick, yet for some reason it’s okay to poke fun at the woman with thin legs but not the woman with heavier legs. So much hypocrisy.
Every size is insulted between too thin and too big on here. Some part of a woman will be called disgusting on here no matter what her size. That isn’t hypocrisy
It is when the majority of the board are whining about how fat women are treated then being just as rude about thin women. You seem to think only big women have feelings. Nobody called anyone out in the KK topic but in this one everyone is upset because people are saying “mean” things about her legs
Big women get more sympathy on this site, that is a fact! no matter what you say. Look at the Lianne Rimes or Katie Homes topics. There are some awful comments in there, that would never be tolerated in a topic like this. Of course you will deny this as you are biased towards bigger women. Thin women get a raw deal here. Keep denying it. I know the truth
I actually defend against idiotic comments in general despite what size they may be. That may be a hard concept for some to grasp that I wouldn’t feel the need to insult people’s bodies. I’ve actually regularly defended Kim Kardashian and Katie Holmes. That must make them bigger women. If you are seeing a bias it is in your mind.
I’d say bigger women get many more comments here than skinny ones. I think this was discussed on an article last month, can’t remember which one though.
No bigger women get loads of sympathy and called a “real women” and people like Leanne Rimes gets called a “bag of bones,” even though it’s clear she has an eating disorder. Which isn’t a laughing matter. And she gets told to just pull herself together and snap out of it.
and stop being an attention whore. When it is a bigger women, people say
“this is how a womens figure should look”
Why am I in moderation. i didn’t even insult anyone. That’s what gets me about here, other people say much much worse and not one do they get put in moderation. Pathetic.
Big women do INDEED get more sympathy on this site than skinny ones do. It’s true.
Are there anywhere as close to the unnecessarily rude comments against a woman that is too thin? Are thin women regularly compared animals or to tree trunks? How often is a comment on here that says something along the lines that she would pretty is she lost x amount of weight or she looked better when she was thinner. Oh but the lovely comments of I would die if I had her body can’t be forgotten.
If I dared to say that a woman was so skinny it was disgusting I would be jumped on by the group that think thin is the only attractive look. But somehow these people think it’s acceptable to say someone is so big they are disgusting.
Then go to the Skinny. You’ll be in good company. They HATE on thicker girls.
because in this day and age (as obesity rates skyrocket by the minute) its not politically correct to make fun of fat people. everyone makes excuses for overweight people “oh she had a baby” “oh shes thick” etc, when most of the time, its pure laziness and lack of willpower…but what overweight person wants to admit/come to terms with that…so instead, they all band together, refer to themselves as “curvy” and call it a day.
@ Tasha- Yes, there are as many unnecessarily rude comments toward thin people as their are skinny ones. Leann Rimes, VS models, and Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud have been described as “gross”, “frightening”, “disgusting”, “12 year old boys”, and so on. This is true…but I also agree with mary.
*Oops I mean: as there are toward heavier ones
I’ll take being called a boy over a whale any day
I think I’d rather be called neither.
“Then go to the Skinny. You’ll be in good company. They HATE on thicker girls.”
So you admit that this site is pro-bigger women?
I am not even going to say “curvy” because that word has been misused. Then why is it called skinny vs curvy? At least the other site is just called skinny so you know what you are getting.
Maybe this site should change it;s name to
“Real Women Have Curves” then at least everyone would know where they stand before they come here.
She doesn’t look terrible but as someone who has comparable thighs to Alicia, shorts that are mid thigh are much more flattering than super short ones!
I get that she’s naturally thick and gains weight in her legs, but somehow that amount of disproportionally bloated-looking cellulite doesn’t look healthy. Also, I would love to back up the former comments about how ppl are so mean about skinny ppl yet no one says anything, but when ur talking about fat ppl (not that alica k is rly that fat, though I would correct her fashion choices) u have to be “polite and positive.” It’s like the term “plus-size”- you’re fat! Accept it and own it and be fabulous… or lose the weight. Either way, as long as you have confidence you look good.
well THANK GOD she still has a flat stomach and a tiny waist
I mean heaven forbid if she had a body like Brooklyn Decker with a high waist and long legs omg the horror of putting ANY fat on your stomach. Brooklyn should just SHOOT herself!
quote: agree with some of the comments above about pear shaped women seemingly criticised much more than any other body shape! ”
no, you ALL Complain the most about angelina jolie/brooklyn decker, heidi Klum bodies more thanyou complain about pear shaped women
apparenlty having a giant cellulite butt and legs the size of tree stumps is OK as long as, heaven forbid, you dont put weight on your stomach like those disgusting pigs brooklyn/angie/heidi!
Totally, people with no waists have a much rawer deal on here than pear-shaped ones.
WHR WHR WHR ad nauseum
Lol. Your comment made me laugh:)
In part because what you said I have observed as well.
However, I am one of those small waisted women, with hips and a fuller butt.
And I can tell you that there was a time not too long ago before JLO came on the scene when a small waist and a fuller bottom really wasn’t favoured in the predominantly White media at all. The pear shape was dreaded and nearly every article in magazines was about how to shrink your bottom, your hips and thighs.
So, now I laugh when I see the tables turn in favour of the formerly “dreaded” pear shape.
It’s interesting to me that people are obsessed with WHR’s, bigger butts and legs (pears) on here. I’ve always, always, favored the looks of goblet/cornet Brooklyn Decker types. I LOVE Brooklyn’s shape! I think having a high waist with not as much definition, broader shoulders, and long, thin legs looks GREAT! I guess it just shows how different everyone on here thinks.
me2:D
It’s also been proved that fat around thighs is less dangerous than abdominal fat; plus, having a defined WHR usually indicate higher possibility of getting pregnant.
The truth is, up until a decade ago the most feminine attribute in a woman body was a small waist with slighty bigger hips, more than long legs or big breasts or even a big ass. I see that this site celebrate this, mostly. Gaining weight in some part of the body rather than in other is genetic, not a sin: for some people is just that they need to pay more attention to their body in order to be healthy.
There are women larger than Alicia who say, Who cares? I’m going to dress comfortably and not be ashamed of my body. Plus-size model Fluvia Lacerda is one of them: http://www.dignityzine.com/health-beauty/fluvia-lacerda-bikini.html
Let’s remember that Alicia is famous for her musical talent and her identity is more than just the sum of her thighs.
Beautiful girl. Great voice. Unflattering shorts. That is all.
if those shorts were jeans, the legs would look much better imo. shes gained weight everywhere. she just needs to focus more on herself and health and get herself together. because she would not weigh this much if she was living a healthy lifestyle. and if it really is pregnancy weight, then she gained too much. you arent supposed to gain THAT much during pregnancy, to the point where months later you still look like you’re 30lbs away from normal.
what the hell did she do to herself?!! this is gross and needs to be stopped!
Please cover your legs up.
She is a very, very pretty woman. Her face carries her.
She has always had thicker legs. That is where her body stores fat. Now they have just gotten bigger.
But she has a lovely small waist and flat stomach that few women have.
So, really it is a trade off, would you rather have a big muffin top or big legs?
I think I’d go with the bigger legs.
Cankles
I’m not going to be rude, but since she is in the spotlight she should have definetely lost weight more quickly.
I’m sorry Tasha but who called Alica Keys a “whale”
on here? I apoplogize if I missed it but I can’t see it.
And No being called a “12 year old boy” and “not a real woman” is not any better/worse than what bigger women are called. If you think it’s fine for skinny people to be called names but not big people then I feel sorry for you. I also get sick if hearing people complain because someones body isn’t “soft” and “womanly” enough. It’s that Real Women Brigade mentality that gets on my nerves. Every woman is real regardless of her size or shape. Why is it that some people will only praise the size they happen to be? I don’t think any woman is happy with her body tbh, even those perfect supermodels.
It’s been removed but she isn’t the only one that has been referred to as an animal. Some people find it necessary to say that some women look like whales, pigs and monkeys.
I’m sorry that you seem to see some bias in everyone but yourself. I’ve seen your comments and you always say that people are biased towards larger women and called someone a britney stan because they disagreed with your opinion that she looks masculine.
I have never said that a woman should be more toned or more soft which can’t be said for most commenters. I don’t think it’s acceptable for any woman’s body to be insulted like that which is why I don’t do it. If I don’t want it to be said about me I won’t say it about anyone else. I praise women that are smaller than me and larger than me. Can you say the same? I don’t have the idiotic mentality than some people seem to have including you that only a certain size range is attractive. If I think someone isn’t attractive it’s based more on face than body. I’ve said that every person born a female is a real woman. I did say on a Miranda Kerr posts that larger breasts and wider hips is a more womanly figure which it is compared to that of a girl or a man.
Perfect bodies don’t exist but some people are happy with the bodies they have been given regardless of their imperfections. That could be why I don’t feel the need to nitpick other’s bodies constantly.
You seem to be angry that everyone doesn’t conform to your ideals. Other people are entitled to think that larger bodies are attractive even if you don’t. You can’t always claim that there is some real woman brigade or that it’s a celebrities diehard fan every time someone has an opinion that doesn’t match your own. That is a thing called maturity that you might need to require.
Tasha, that is a great and sensible comment, but somehow, i think you are wasting your time. Only people who do already think like that will get your point, the others will just extract the parts that “prove” their opinions and that’s that… But still, thank you on behalf of the rational for taking time to writing that down! Cheers
agree T, i hate it when ppl say I’m too skinny when actually i don’t look skinny at all w/o clothes, just have a tiny torso
or would you rather be an apple like Kate Upton and have a small butt and legs and a slightly thicker waist but Ginormous boobs?
I used to think Miranda Kerr had a super hot body and gorgeous butt until i saw how SHORT her legs were. Now i still think she’s hot but not nearly as hot b/c her legs are so short and her upper body is so long
http://www.skinnyvscurvy.com/alicia-keys/alicia-keys-gets-waxed-hit-or-miss.html#more-36394
She was waaay slimmer here too. And it’s from June 29
i agree she has an amazing voice. and a beautiful face. those shorts don’t fit her as they should. but it’s hot outside, it’s not like she is supposed to dress like it’s winter, she has the right to wear them if she feels comfortable in them.
but i have one question..are those “thunder thighs”? seriously i was talking with some friends and we can’t really tell how thunder thighs actually look like (you know..most girls are self-conscious and don’t know what to think about this kinda stuff)
Honestly, that’s what the majority of the population looks like. So why start yelling?!
Those are hardly “the biggest legs I’ve ever seen on a woman”. But, then again, I work at a Wal-Mart and have seen my fair share of giant legs. She is clearly pear-shaped and I see no difference in her size and Beyonce, other than just lack of tone
i’m like 5’6.5″ and a toned 110-115 and I even find daisy dukes uncomfortable. I have like an inch between my thighs at all points (wide pelvis/thin legs) and when I sit even baggier pairs cut into my thighs… i dont get why anyone where’s jean short shorts. I wear ones flared out so they are comfortable and cool
her body as a whole is gorgeous, but you’ve got to make the most of what you’ve got …. so goodness knows why she would wear hot pants!! NOT a good look! :-s
@Lauren
i am an apple shape lauren, and the ppl on this site make me want to off myself too. no matter that I have large breasts and really long legs, i feel like absolute crap when people go on about how tiny waist is ok even if you have a legs the size of tree trunks. TINY WAIST –> ALL.
but anyways Lauren, your comments about what black men find attractive reminded me of this photo:
http://ll-media.tmz.com/2007/02/16/0216_niecy_booty_2-1.jpg
that is niecy nash from the show Reno 911. She is a black woman and in that photo she is wearing a FAKE BUTT. She said in the commentary that her own butt was not ‘big’ enough, and that with the prosthetic she got SO MUCH attention from black men that it was unbelievable. That it was considred to be absolute perfection at that size.
Now to me (im white) that seems absurd. its just soo big!
but look at the popular celebs in white culture, Pam Anderson, those Page 3 girls from Britain. Their boobs are so grotesquely LARGE, it is honeslty as ridiculous as what you see on Niecy there with her oversized booty!
this is so wrong
To me, she looks like a normal, healthy woman. She’s not overweight by any means. Over 90% of women have cellulite, even thin, fit and toned women. Some obese women have no cellulite. It’s just part of being a woman, and maybe that’s why it’s so hard to get rid of. I wish our society would just get over it.
I would hate myself if I had her legs!
I’m shocked SHOCKED!!
Althought it comes with the territory as a celebrity, being a female & gaining some weight is hard enough without people tearing your image apart with of photo of yourself in denim shorts.
Honestly her genes are pretty good, i’m peared shape, & if i gained weight like that to my thighs my jawline, cheekbones, & neck would no longer be visible, which Alicia clearly still has.
Remember – Alicia Keys is a singer, an musician, so who are we to stay that she’s gotta tone up/cover up? Is there a catwalk appearence she’s making that i haven’t heard about? i eat more when i’m happy, she has a beautiful baby boy & a husband who seems to think the world of her, i’m sure ‘killer legs’ aren’t her priority or focus right now, sorry crictics
I can’t be too hard on her because she just had a baby, but this is NOT a good look. This makes me glad I have the body I do. Currently, I am bigger (a US 12), but my weight distributes itself so evenly (and a lot goes to my boobs) so I look thinner. I would HATE to have ALL my weight go to ONE place liker Alicia’s does.
[...] See this super popular post on Alicia! [...]
maybe, just maybe shes put being a mother before losing weight on her list of priorities….granted the shorts and sandles do little to help her, shes not out looking for this attention……
People like Miranda kerr and Candice Swanepoel have ideal bodies in my eyes, yet everyone is different, if she’s happy then what’s the big deal?
the big deal is that people love to hate and put others down:P
I feel most of you all are harsh on my girl….True she’d look hotter with firmer tone thighs on her legs; some of us dudes just love women with thick and firm legs, it spices sexiness. I couldn’t think of my wife more sexy without them thick & full legs
ALicia Keys is an emblem of beauty in my mind any day, just hope she keeps it together, over-weight could mess up things. Our women must work at their man’s flavour in body preference; keep in shape for your man or see him out looking for the shape you know his heart desires.
Alicia, Hope Your baby is growing into a hunk, tapping mama’sbeauty.
Wonder how hard men work to “conform” to the shape/ideal their women desire. Either way, both bodies will change as time goes by, wrinkles and aging are inevitable, and while I’m not saying you should totally let yourself go, and gain 100′s of kg, true love is much more than skin-deep.
Wow – I’ve not been on here for AGES and some of the comments – whoa. Judgemental much? My problem area is my legs too, if you gain weight there, nothing you can do about it, it won’t shift easily! Good for all of you who are going on about having nice legs. Go flaunt them then. Leave her alone to wear what she wants. Admittedly they ARE pretty short shorts, but IMO they wouldn’t look good on one of you people with ‘nice legs’ either…
I never realized how pear-shaped she is.
She has always had a beautiful face and although she has gained some weight recently, she still has a healthy-sized top portion of her body. I haven’t seen many people with such a healthy upper body and legs that heavy, together. :/ Anyway, she could wear more flattering shorts (maybe a bit longer and not as tight) or a skirt or something. I feel badly for her because the pear body shape would be the last one I would want.
I have a feeling she will lose weight relatively soon, though…I don’t know why.
I think pear shapes are cute. I’d be pear shaped if I gained weight and I have really short legs. I would probably be in a similar state, but I have never had cellulite on the front of my legs…
Alicia…. Damn. I hope she`s back in shape
