Personal Trainer Reveals Blake Lively’s Diet

What is Blake eating to maintain her amazing figure and fabulous legs? Let’s find out from US Weekly:
Blake Lively — who flashed her gams in a Marchesa mini at Monday’s Met Gala — has been hitting the gym with star trainer Bobby Strom to shape up for Green Lantern (which costars Ryan Reynolds).
“She always looks good,” Strom told Us of the Gossip Girl star, 22. “But she has to do stunts, so we’re focusing on core and strength training.”
Her workout routine includes four-day-a-week, 90-minute circuit training sessions full of planks, pushups and walking lunges in a gym near the film’s (out June 2011) New Orleans set.
“She looked at her stomach and said, ‘I have abs!’” Strom tells Us.
Her diet? Oatmeal with a handful of blueberries, salads with chicken and balsamic vinaigrette for lunch and fish and veggies for dinner. (Lively also blends fruits and veggies with a juicer, and avoids noshing on too much dessert by eating just a “fork-full.”)
Her food splurge: The 5-foot-10 actress loves to cook and eat Greek food.
“You would not believe what she could consume,” Strom says. “The Greek fest that she made… crepes with cream cheese in them… we could only eat half of it. She ate all of hers and then went back and ate somebody else’s half.”

So.. she’s basically following the same diet every single girl in hollywood follows? I’m sorry but i keep reading the same diets and exercises all the freaking time, why bother putting it in a magazine? Every time it is like ‘lose weight’ ‘diet tips’ and blabla bla and it ALWAYS ends up being 60 min or more a day exercise, cardio + lunges and push ups and crap like that in the morning it is always fruit and it’s always salad with chicken and ofcourse they always claim the celeb can ‘eat a lot!’ trying to make them look more human. Lame.

agreed. it’s because there is no “secret”. it’s healthy eating, portion control, and staying active.
yes, i believe in a few rare cases genetics can cause people to be large. but hey, you don’t see fat people in africa……we just overeat

In Mauritania (which is in Africa), women are force-fed as young girls because being obese is considered beautiful there. So yes, you do see fat people in Africa. That said, you are correct that portion control and an active lifestyle are they keys to a healthy weight.
True, I read an article about force-feeding young girls there. Too bad they don’t have fast food. It would make the process much easier! Apparently the love of fat women is becoming old-fashioned there though.

I live in Kenya its in Eastern Africa and trust me there’s a lot of overweight people here and in other African countries. The culture here is just now turning to healthy eating and exercise. There are the people who live in the arid and semi arid areas where there’s a perpetual drought who are incredibly underweight and malnourished but that’s just in those places.
She looks awesome and take it from someone who has DONE this and pretty much ate this or variations of it – IT WORKS!
As someone who has yo-yo dieted and yo-yo worked out for the since high school – nothing works like diet and exercise. This is the one “diet” that works for everyone!

we often have them for dinner and you can definitely eat at least 4 of them without problems….i guess he is used to hollywood bird-eating XD
fyi: birds eat three times their own weight.

As a Greek I have to correct Blake and tell her that crepes and cream cheese are French and we never eat them in Greece, well apart from the times we visit french creperies
I agree (am greek as well)! When I read Greek food I suspected something like mousakas or bean soup (fasolada) or at least our traditional junk food.
But I’ve heard Blake say she loves greek food. she can’t be that mistaken. I think her trainer got it wrong.
Anyway, she looks amazing! For me her shape is healthy. Not skinny, but also not too plump. AND she’s toned! Amen!

She’s 5’10, I believe the amount you should be eating is relative to your size. Maybe she ate more than other people there, but maybe they were a lot shorter and smaller than her too.
Actually, shorter and smaller people need a larger volume of food than larger and taller people.

She is my favorite girl… her body is not too thin it’s just perfectly toned all around! Love her!

I would say vase / hourglass, yes.
She has a gorgeous figure but wears some of the most distracting dresses that rather than emphasize her body, they take away from it (like that ugly blue dress there).
As for her diet, honestly I wouldn’t believe she was that strict with her diet/workouts.But okay.
i feel like trainers always divulge these celebrity diets in an attempt to show us how healthy they are, but when you actually think about it, she is probably eating less than 1,200 calories/day on this diet AND exercising 90 minutes on top of that…I dont consider that very healthy, but that’s just me. Oatmeal is 300 calories at most, her salad is probably 400 – 500 calories at most, and her dinner is MAYBE 400 calories…and these caloric estimates are on the high end!
I agree! It sounds like she’s really under-eating for the amount of exercise she does. I think she has a nice, slim, and attainable body, but I’m disappointed to hear she may be restricting and denying herself certain things to get it.

Oh no, I wanted to say the exact opposite! I think those meals she’s eating sound really delicious.
But I am a vegetarian and eat lots of organic fruits and vegetables… and I love oatmeal! Of course I always put a big piece of organic butter into it. My grandmother always made that for me as breakfast when I was a child. About the calories: I never count them! I think it’s really strange to do that, and that there is some kind of natural instinct for how much you can eat without getting fat… whatever, food should be fun!
actually a chicken salad with a tbspn of light dressing is about 120-150 calories. As for fish and veggies, lets say it is hand portion of salmon with nothing than olive oil it is about 155 calories. And like Mizzy said oatmeal n blueberries is about 300 calories. Total calories for a day is appx 655 calories on top of that shes doing circuit training for 90 min. and everybody knows circuit training is highly effective to toned a body since it is very intense and can burned to 300-500 calories (depending of intensity).
Well it doesn’t mention portion sizes at all so you can’t really infer how much of those foods she is eating. She has a strong healthy body, so I very much doubtshe is only eating 655 calories. She probably eats ALOT of those healthy foods which does add up in calories.
oh I just wanted to add that i doubt she eating like that evy single week, cause it is basically deprivation and would have shown by now (hair, skin wouldnt be so glowy and healthy). Then again it is my opinion.
Why do they say she only eats a “forkful of dessert” but then eats crepes with cream and goes off and eats someone else’s half…obviously thats more than a forkful!

Normal person eats everythink, works out 2-3 times a week and still have good body. I think she eats everythink – including candies, chocolate, fried food,… she just not stuck in KFC or Burger King everyday. You have to eat something different everyday…not just fried food or pasta.
I don’t belive that celebrities eat only salads…they are also just human.
I’m pretty sure a lot of you sound like women who NEVER work out or diet. To the person who thinks she’s eating 650 calories a day- are you NUTS? You’re really off on your calorie counts and like somebody else said, she probably eats decent portions. I’m her height and I can eat like a pig and not gain half as much weight as someone five inches shorter. That’s just how it is.
Plus, with how much she works out she can probably eat as much healthy food as she wants. It may sound ridiculous to work out that much to some of you, but when fitness matters you make time for it- end of story. There are plenty of “normal” people who work out this much too, it’s all about your priorities.
yeah you people are crazy. like really?? i workout sometimes for 5 hours straight i am like such an intenss dancer and i do a ton of stuff to stay in shape cuz i play field hockey and lax. you peole are literally crazy if blake only ate 600 calories a day plus all tht workout she would NOT look so healthy. she would have like dark lines under her eyes and might even be dead. like some of you people drive me crazzyyy

She is 22, lean and 5’10….I doubt she has to do much to maintain her frame thus far. give is 10 years hon and THEN lets see what you got!
Her body is just perfect ! Especially her legs ! Gorgeous !! She has a flat stomach, long slim but still toned legs, nice hips and boobs ( which i think are really big compared to how slim she is) ..
The only flaw on her body is her butt, that should be a bit bigger and round, for my taste
