Star: Beyonce Is Living on ‘protein shakes, egg-white omelettes, pineapple and water’

Beyonce, who gave birth a month ago, is supposedly on a strict diet while exercising 4 hours every day in order to recover her hot figure. From star Magazine:
Beyonce is getting back to bootylicious! After giving birth to baby girl Blue Ivy Carter on Jan. 7, Beyonce is determined to drop 40 lbs. of baby weight she packed on during her pregnancy – and she hopes to do it in just four week of boot camp!
Trainer Marco Borges has moved into her and Jay-Z’s Hamptons home to put the new mom through intense daily sweat sessions.
“Beyonce and Marco are up at 5 a.m. for a two-hour workout, and they do it again at 5 p.m.,” says a source. “They do a mix of cardio, Pilates, plyometrics, yoga and of course dance.”
Beyonce is sticking to a strict diet too. “She’s having six tiny high-protein meals a day,” reveals the source. “She’s living on protein shakes, egg-white omelettes, pineapple chunks and lots of ice-cold water.”

She got heavier to trick us into thinking she gave birth when she did NOT. She used a surrogate. I mean why the heck would she close off the entire hospital wing? Why is her assistant living in a mansion in the Caribbean with million of dollars and why oh why is the baby named after the girl jay z cheated on b with?

Some people use surrogates for lots of reasons, and if it means they can have a baby, then they’ll do it.

nah i don’t think so. and did she really gain 40 lbs, i mean did she have 40 lbs extra after she had already given birth and all the extra junk was out of her body? if so, she gains weight in a really flattering way.. i could believe she’s sticking to a healthy diet and exercising, but that sounds a bit excessive for a new mom. though one could say that is her job, and it’s no different than regular moms just going to work.. hmh. is it ok to diet if you’re breastfeeding? i remember hearing something about toxins releasing from the fat cells or such, though i don’t even know if Bé is breasfeeding.
She gained 40 lbs. during pregnancy? i don’t think so. But I believe she could gain 40 lbs. wearing her fake prosthetic belly and eating crap instead of healthy food.

Beyonce never did extreme diets. She was always a bit bootylicious, her weight was always up and down, but never too extreme.
She’s maybe on a diet, but I think she’s doeing it healty way. Why? There’s no need to do it extreme: she’s got album out, I don’t belive she’ll make any videos soon or go to tour now.
And you know this how? I recall a few years ago that she admitted to going on a Cucumber and Cheyenne pepper diet.
Well she did the maple syrup nonsense to lose weight for a film role but that was different i guess. You’re right she’s always worked hard for her body but I guess she’s not completely adverse to doing something extreme for quick results.
She did that maple syrup diet to lose 20lbs in 2 weeks for Dreamgirls. That’s pretty extreme.
Oh, I forgot about that! That makes me believe this one now.
She’s in damage control over the surrogate rumour. I’m not saying I definitely believe the rumour’s true (although a few things put together and her pregnancy seemed a bit.. .odd.) but even if it’s not true, this idea of her taking extreme diet methods is probably just a way of convincing people through the media that she does in fact have ‘baby weight’ to lose. She is a smart powerful and wealthy woman, and has an image that she controls very tightly, and successfully up until now.
The more I read about Beyonce, the more I am convinced she never had the baby. Not that it matters. I just see anything on Beyonce and my reaction is “next!….” Meh I don’t know….

^ I think the part that makes me not like celebrities like her is that they have such huge egos like they believe we should worship them as gods. Nope, I don’t worship them and I wouldn’t even get nervous if they talked to me on the street. They are normal people that happened to get lucky or work hard to be in the spotlight.
Also is it true that they cut off a whole wing of a hospital to have an ultra private birth for their baby?
I understand that the papz are annoying but the whole wing? What about other women that went into labor that night? Were they relocated and had to go out of their way to get into a hospital room? If so, that’s horrible. Beyonce’s fruit of the loins is no better than the rest of the world’s.
Wow I just lost a lot of respect for her. How can a new mother consuming a diet like that ever enjoy the health and wonder attached with caring for your new born? She must feel exhausted and sick… AND to top that of 4 extreme hours of exercise taken out of her precious day instead of bonding with her child? What an awful example to set. Why can’t she just eat healthily and take it slowly and enjoy her life…. Saddening article.
because she has to make money (even though she already has a shitload of it..). unfortunately there are so much people who never can get enough. i would hate not being able to just take some time off for a few weeks or months.

I can’t think of a single new mother who has ever had 4 hours in a day extra (and that is women who are not working either so its not like Beyonce is just working out 4 hrs/day is like working part time or whatever)… I wonder who is with the baby for those 4 hours everyday
Just remember this, she most likely has a whole army of nannies and other child wranglers, personal trainers, chefs, etc around to make her life easier.

I’m not one the cast aside these weird fitness/diet regimes of celebs that come from ‘sources’ just because they sound extreme. Sure a ‘source’ is hardly trustworthy, but we know that celebs do engage in this type of nonsense – there is a lucrative fitness industry targetting Hollywood clients for nothing. If it is true then it sounds ridiculous.

Actually they broke the true Ashton Kutcher cheating story- sooo not everything they write is false. I believe this, Beyonce is to narrsasistic not to diet and be so concerened with image, but I also believe she never actually gave birth to the baby

WHAT IS IT with egg-white omelettes?! What is so awful about the yellow? If you’re on that restrictive a diet surely the couple extra grams of fat the yellow provides would not only be welcome but desperately needed. It is the latest of dieting fads which seem genuinely mystifying.
It has cholesterol though, which is why it isn’t good to eat too many yolks per day, esp if you have problems with cholesterol. I think some people eat like several egg whites a day, which is why it’s maybe wise to not have the yolks with them too, but if it’s just one or two, i don’t see a problem with it. If you only eat a couple of eggs and still leave the yolks behind, hmm, reminds me of my ed days when i always had to cut a portion off of everything i was eating, like it could be an apple and i’d peel the skin off in really thick slices and get kicks out of the fact that i “saved” calories while still having the sensation of eating an apple.
The egg yolk is the most nutrient-dense part of the egg. The myth that eating cholesterol causes high cholesterol simply must die. People need to become better educated about what they eat. Finally, there’s nothing wrong with cholesterol in the first place. Read “The Cholesterol Myth” if you don’t believe me.
interesting, i’m gonna have to look more into it. the little i read just now doesn’t quite cover the whole issue (surprise surprise), so i’m not 100 % sold yet. (though i do realize cholesterol is an essential part of our system in healthy amounts) I’m studying in a medical field myself and so far all the doctors etc that’ve been lecturing have brought up cholesterol in connection to heart diseases just as one might expect. This might all be propaganda, or misinformation on a wide level, but i also am not going to change my mind just bc a couple of sources seem to think in a different way. Cholesterol levels inside the body (i.e. in the bloodstream) ARE connected to heart disease…but there isn’t a big connection between how much cholesterol you eat and how much of it ends up in your bloodstream. Your liver synthesizes (makes from scratch) at least 85% of the cholesterol in the body. Only 15% is from your diet. Normally, if you eat a lot of cholesterol, your liver just makes less. Something goes wrong with that process in people with high cholesterol, and their liver stops being able to regulate how much cholesterol is in their blood. But cutting out cholesterol from their diet usually doesn’t help those people — that’s why they need to take drugs to lower their cholesterol levels.
i’ve been wondering about how healthy eggs are recently! thanks i’m going to look into it too. i really really like them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! eggs whites… meh… so i hope i can eat them whole every day bc i am trim and young so cholesterol shouldn’t ever be an issue for me

No way it is true. And she never gained 40lbs, i’d say 20. Because i am sure she’s breastfeeding (look at her enormous boobs lol), she cannot eat what we just read : i think she wants to be healthy for her baby and, she never did crazy diets like we always read about her ! She just does a lot of exercise.
the first couple months after giving birth is crucial recovery for a mother and her body, she should not be working out 4 hours a day. She should just eat healthy throughout the day, and small portions.
i don’t know if everything is true. they use to exaggerate things. but it’s great that’s she’s trying to keep herself in shape. people think that if you just had a baby, you just need to forget about yourself and your health and focus only on the baby. big no! you have to focus on both. i always envy those celebrities who have a determination to stay fit after having kid.

I just don’t buy into stories that don’t have named “sources.” Especially when its Star Magazine.
I’ve had 3 kids. I find the quicker I go on a diet and lose the weight, the better off I am in the long run. If I wait too long my body settles into the weight more. It also makes you a happier mom/wife if you feel confident in your looks.
I haven’t had kids yet, but I aim to have that approach for the same reasons as you when the time comes – a happy me is more likely to mean a happy husband and children.
I didn’t hear about the surrogacy rumors until reading the above posts–so googled a little about this vainglorious lady and (WOW!) her belly DID deflate!! She is really mental.

Why is a month such an amazingly extreme amount of time to lose baby weight? I ate healthily throughout my pregnancy and I walked out of the hospital with a flat stomach (granted I had a 6.11lb baby and I am 5’10) and within a week I was back to same old size/shape/weight.
I was able to do that with my first but not my second. Being short (5’4″) with a small torso makes it harder. My 2nd baby was over 8 pounds as well. I could kick myself for having a belly button piercing since that pregnancy stretched out the scar. It looks terrible.
My mom is only 5’5″, and was in pre-pregnancy jeans a week after my birth, and had a flat stomach as well. And I weighed 10 lbs at birth (I was also 2 weeks late). So I think it has less to do with height and weight, and more discipline with food during pregnancy.
Also kick ass genetics help.
Okay, what’s the f*kin rush?? It’s not like she has to hurry up her maternity leave because she has to get back to work to make money. I am not a fan of her, or the shadyness (?) regarding her pregnancy and birth. But what about spending quality time with the life you just brought into this world? The world can wait for you to get your figure back Beyonce, but your child cannot wait for your love and attention.

40 lbs in 4 weeks? No one loses 10lbs per week in any healthy way. She would need to burn more than 3500 EXTRA calories per day in order to do this.
nah, a LOT of it is water weight on many new moms. not that it isn’t still a big number to drop, just not quite as extreme as it may sound.
Well, doesn’t that 40 lbs include the weight of the baby itself, as well as the amniotic fluid, placenta, etc? I mean, if you weighed yourself before and after giving birth, wouldn’t there be a significant difference right there?

YES IKR. haha sorry if I sound too excited or whatever, but really- Beyonce says she does a huge number of reps of 100 squats to get her “awesome legs” and diets like crazy (cayenne/maple syrup diet) to get in shape. Well… I don’t think that she’s ever that in shape, you know? I mean, people who do the cayennepepper/maplesyrup diet surely aren’t looking to be healthy and fit… they’re looking to be skinny. And no, beyonce isn’t skinny. At all.

I think she only gained the recommended 25 lbs. My mom looked like about Beyoncé’s size when she got pregnant. (Because she onl gained the 25 lbs. and was back into normal about 2 weeks after giving birth. Not every pregnant woman gains a lot of weight.
oh no! she should not be having iced/cold drink especially right after childbirth. it’s not really good for her. i follow strict indonesian/malaysian traditional childbirth diet. only certain fish can be eaten and some veges and warm water. lost my baby fat in 3 months.
